When I hired Christian Martinez and his company CB Services, I gave them $11,500 (1/3 of the estimated cost of $35,000) as a downpayment for materials and such. That check was cashed by CB Services on October 15, 2020. Christian and his employees lied to me for 8 months about my project. They continually blamed the City of Cincinnati's permit office and the architect (which they hired) for the delay. They came to my house on two days for about three hours each day and did some demo work making the space unusable (down to the rafters). I had lumber left in my yard for 4 months that ended up not be used. Christian came to my house made all kind of promised and didn't follow through with any of them. I asked for my money back and he ignored my request. Many times I sent him text and called him (I can provide those for you if you would like to see them) and he ignored me. I only got his attention when I told him I scheduled a meeting with a lawyer for May 7, 2021. Midway through the day on May 7, 2021 I received a text from Christian saying he put a check under my door for $10,700. Notice that is not the amount that I gave him. He claimed he should be able to keep some for the work completed. Remember they made the space unusable. I should pay for that? He did say that he would return the full amount if I felt that was appropriate. I responded I wanted the full amount. He ignored those text as well until I threatened to make this statement on every site I can find. I gave him until June 11, 2021 to return the rest of the money and on June 11th he said he mailed it. As of June 14, 2021, I have not received the money. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

It didnt go. Never showed up to do the job. Paid deposit August 28. 2020. its been 5 months. Was told would install the new porch when materials arrived. Was told in December materials were in. Was told in March 2021 the materials had never been ordered

The process was amazing, every member of the CB team was in constant communication with us about the next steps, arrival times, expectations along the way, etc. We gave the company an obscene timeline to meet due to our previous contractor backing out last minute and CB Services delivered! Our event went off without a hitch and the kitchen has never looked better.

The job was not done per the bid. The concrete sub contractor took it upon themselves to cut corners based on the their share of the payment. Once CB Services got their 20% there was only communication if I initiated it. I was told the job would start mid-July. It wasn’t started until August 31 and on September 4 the concrete was poured. We were not informed by either CB Services or their sub contractor of any changes to the original bid. CB Services did nothing to see things were done right. We are being told to pay the sub contractor directly even though our contract is with CB Services. We asked for a notarized statement from CB Services stating he has been paid in full and the balance is to be paid to the subcontractor but he refused. CB Services also made a verbal promise to fix areas of the lawn that were damaged by machinery and to power wash our driveway. We are now having to pay between $100 and $150 to have ruts in the lawn flattened and areas where grass was torn up prepped and seeded. Aesthetically, the patio and walkway are nice, however being poured over bare, uncompacted ground is not a sound foundation based on research and opinions of other concrete professionals.

Phone calls were made to the concrete manufacturer and BQ concrete contractor that the patio was installed per code. At the completion of the project our customer service member Heather Starret went to your home to get feedback and see what was needed for cleanup and reported your husband was very aggressive with her and she did not feel safe to return. We take the safety of our team seriously. We would gladly reimburse you for the extra repairs to your lawn but ask that you would pay your bill. If you would like to discuss this further please feel free to contact our customer service department at 513-604-3109. Again we apologize for any confusion and break down in communication of your project. We will take your feed back and make sure we are better on the next one."

Everyone one that came in the house was very friendly and approachable about anything. Christian was first came to come to the house and find out what I needed done and very professional brought his son along on one visit, like the fact he is teaching his son the business. Tim was ever so kind and always asked if we needed anything additional. But getting to the meat of the project everything they did was top notch outstanding work, they did not rush the job which made it a high quality job, the tiles were beautiful. Tim took extra time in the flooring store to pick out and pick up the flooring. The kitchen floor was the same as bathroom and and made our old house look classy and more up to date. They took out the old cast iron tub which was not easy and still had good attitudes throughout the project. They were always prompt on time everyday. They even went above and beyond by turning water on and off during the project so we could still stay in the house and use the toilet.

Did a great job assessing all work that needed to be done on my leaking gutters in short amount of time, answering all my questions and giving me a fair quote. Arrived on time day work was performed, and did everything that was agreed to in a short amount of time. We love our new bathroom! The contractor gutted the existing bathroom, upgraded the plumbing, and installed all new drywall and tile. The work is meticulous and thoughtful; the price was reasonable. We look forward to more projects in the future.

Christian was wonderful. Our project was a small one but he treated us as if we were a major project. The two guys that were sent to do the job were great!! They did an amazing job and the paver patio looks fantastic. We would highly recommend CBG for all of your construction needs.
