If you work with this company, I strongly recommend retaining copies of every payment, cashier's check, invoice, email, and text, and independently verifying that every payment has been properly credited. I want to start by saying that the actual work I had done was completed very quickly and, as far as I can tell, was done well. My complaint is not about the roof itself. It is about a duplicate payment issue that took more than five months to resolve, required me to contact the Minnesota Attorney General's Office twice, and was ultimately resolved only after I opened a dispute with my credit card company. I initially sent Firebird Exteriors a $1,500 cashier's check as a partial payment for my roof. I was later contacted and told that the cashier's check had not arrived. Based on that information, and believing the original payment was missing, I paid the full amount due by credit card. I subsequently worked with my bank to determine what had happened to the missing cashier's check
