Be extremely wary of John Paulik. His ""professionalism" and business acumen leaves a lot to be desired. I unfortunately used John for an interior painting job in September 2019, and shortly after we noticed off fireplace mantel began to chip. I reached out to John and I was informed that he would not fix this work as it was not included in our contract. It should be important to note that his crew took it upon themselves to paint this area, I didn't not request for the mantel to be painted nor did I approve it. I only noticed it was painted at the conclusion of the job. Fast forward a few months and we began to notice that areas of our walls and ceiling were chipping and bubbling as we well. I decided to not speak with John and contacted Certa-Pro directly. After several conversations with their Senior General Manager, he advised that the troublesome areas would be corrected. I received an email from John this afternoon informing me that this troublesome areas would not be covered under the 2 year warranty as I was given a "discounted" rate. Also, not something I asked for. As a business owner, you cannot give a customer a price and then re-neg on the warranty because you claim that the price was discounted. Lastly, John offered to give me about 5% of my invoice (which breaks down to be roughly $100.00) to contact another painter. Pretty sure $100.00 won't cover it and is more of a slap in the face, if you ask me. He also ordered that I remove all negative reviews as it pertains to his business. What a stand-up guy!

"[Member Name Removed] was provided an excellent quality job, we honored severely discounted winter pricing during peak season, and we accommodated a custom schedule request involving weekends. We also ended up painting several areas of the house including a mantel and stairway at no cost, which I agreed to do. In addition to this extra work at no cost, my painters informed me that [Member Name Removed] had them also remove a television wall outlet and patch the hole with new drywall. Additionally, he had them remove a phone jack and plug the hole, as well as several security devices on windows and doors while patching the drywall underneath. None of this was agreed upon initially, it was not run by me, and no compensation was provided for this work. The current complaint is that we owe the customer additional free work under a warranty claim, most notably on areas we never charged for to begin with, including the aforementioned mantel and staircase. The mantel claim was also in reference to a chip down to bare wood, which does not happen in a re-coating situation without outside impact. We always honor requests from our customers, return to homes as needed, and go above and beyond where we can. However, there is no valid warranty claim here, and a limit on how much we will do for free. Despite my strong disagreement on the claim, I have offered the customer in the range of 5-10% refund on the job, with a value of $100-200, in order to resolve the complaint. He suggested all matters can be addressed within a couple hours of labor, so this refund is more than a fair compromise for [Member Name Removed] to move forward with another painter. John and his team were fantastic! It was a VERY big interior job (every room), and not only did they finish it much quicker than expected, the quality was superb. I've hired many painters in my life, but John and his team are the best - hands down. John himself was extremely responsive to texts and emails, and he epitomizes taking pride in his work and his company. I highly recommend!!

CertaPro of Huntington was amazing. The owner John was there to answer any questions and made some great suggestions. My living room and dining room were in desperate need of painting. His painter, Brian, was the best! Punctual, professional and I couldn’t believe he finished the job by himself in 2 1/2 days. It’s been a few months and I apologize for not writing this review sooner. I can’t get over how wonderful it looks. I highly recommend using them. You can’t go wrong. Extremely professional and the price was great. I can’t wait for them to paint my kitchen next. A++ Service from beginning to end. You won’t be disappointed!

Amazing--John sent an expert, Brian, within the week to fix the caulk above and below the crown molding. He arrived on time, did an excellent job, and left the place spotless. He even went above and beyond by sanding a buckling joint, and did some painting touch-ups. The kitchen looks like new again. This company is a professional operation and was a pleasure to work with. I couldn't be more pleased.

CertaPro of Huntington did a great job overall. John came over to do his free estimate. I also had two other contractors bid on the job. John was very compedative and was listed as a Super Service Award winner so I awarded him the job. The day before the actual painting began, CertaPro came over to powerwash the mold that was starting to accumulate onto the trim. The next day they started painting. I took them two days. They did a great job painting and cleaning up after they were done. I would definitly hire them again.

One word: Fantastic!. This was hands down the best experience that we ever had with dealing with a company. We needed to have our kitchen painted, crown molding painted and also some touch-ups performed. We looked around for a little bit at different companies and from all the great reviews we went with Certapro. We called for an estimate. John Paulik (owner) came to the house and was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He provided us with the options that were available (even things we never even thought of). We felt like we were in good hands. The day of the painting, John and the painting crew showed up on time. Everything was reviewed to ensure that what we discussed would be performed. The painting team ensured that everything was covered to avoid any mess. I originally took the day off of work to be there for the painting, but after meeting the rest of the team I felt very comfortable in leaving them alone and headed to work. When I arrived home I was blown away on what a wonderful job they did. I know when I paint, I can never stay in the lines. However, this was not the case today--this team was extremely skilled. The painting was absolutely perfect!! John also was there to ensure that we were happy with everything. I can honestly say that we were more than happy with the job that was performed. If you need painting done--only use Certapro. It will be the best decision you make. Thank you John for making this a great experience!! You will defiantly be called again.

He came out and gave me an estimate and scheduled the work. He did extensive scraping and priming, It was an exceptional work. The window is 60 years old and there were 12 sections that needed the old paint scraped off and redone. The window looks like new and I couldn't be happier.

This is an update of a review that I wrote about Dominick Rocco and Certa-Pro in 2010 when they painted our house. We have lived here for about 25 years, and have had the house painted several times. 2010 was the first time we used Certa-Pro. Before that every time we had the house painted by other guys three years later it was already chipping and peeling. We had been painting the house about every five years. What inspired this update was that I just looked at our house, and realized that it is now six years since Cert-Pro painted it, and it still looks great with no chipping or peeling. I noticed that last year also when out of the blue I was contacted by Certa-Pro to tell me that my five-year warranty (I forgot I had one) was about to expire and would I like them to inspect the house and see if anything was needed. I was shocked. Sure. Why not? They came out, and there was almost nothing to do, but they did scrape and repaint a few spots that they said could use it. I had never complained to them; they sought me out for this five-year check up. Amazing. One year later, now with six years gone since the house painting job, and I could not be more pleased with the job these guys did, and their utter professionalism.

The project went great. We had constant communication during the entire process as questions came up. The crew was professional & neat and they performed quality work. Also spoke with the owner about timing with the weather and it worked out perfectly. The firm wasn't the least expensive but I liked their estimate detail which spelled everything out. A work portfolio was presented up front which included references and licensing and insurance documents. That in itself answered a lot of questions I had about who this firm was and what kind of work I thought they would do before hiring them. Bottom line, hire these people for your repair and painting needs. You won't regret it.

The project went great! The crew was well organized, neat, courteous, and professional from the first contact to the completion of the project. The estimate was detailed and spelled everything out. I particularly liked the work portfolio presented up front with out asking which included references, licensing, and proof of insurance. We had constant communication during the entire work process which addressed questions during same. Also, I spoke with the business owner regarding the the timing of the weather and it worked out perfectly. Another piece of the process I liked is, once hired, the entire work process was spelled out in writing indicating how things were going to be done, how they would prepare for the project, and what the homeowner had to do to prepare for the project. The estimate was not the least expensive but they performed quality work at a fair price. Bottom line, hire them for your next project, you won't regret it.

We just moved into a new house and decided to have a majority of the rooms painted (2 of the 5 rooms were very large) <br /> along with the doors and crown molding. So, we went with CertaPro. It was such a great experience and I highly recommend them. They were true professionals that followed up on every step. During the fist visit they made sure they clearly understood what we were looking to do. They painters showed up on time and were exceptional. They did an AMAZING job. The attention to detail was incredible. After all was complete, they followed up to ensure all was completed to our satisfaction. I definitely will use them in the future.
