CertaPro Painters of Southern NH did a great job. From the painters to the owner, all were actively engaged. My concerns and expectations were appropriately addressed by them. Two thumbs up!

Worest exoerice of my life 3 plus months of pure **** . Our house was a total mess for over 3 months. Do Not Hire these guys they don't know what they are doing nor do they care about your job. First crew started on April 28 2017 . Jason Milne was the lead. They showed up about 8 am and put 2 guys in garage about 4 inthe house. I warned Jason of my Brand new garage doors and told him not to get paint on them. But he did they never covered the garage doors or garage floor and got paint everywhere. I asked Jason why he didn't repair the cracks and holes in the garage walls prior to painting . He said we paint it to see what we cracks we can cover with paint if the paint doesn't cover it then we will mud . I said that is not the professional way to do it my contract clearly stated to repair and tape the cracks . Inside the decided to put a skim coat of mud on 1 st floor bath, dinning room walls and hallway . This was done instead of sanding out some paint lines. There were no drop cloth mud was everywhere. I aske the guy doing it where is your Hawk he said what is a Hawk. The pulled the mud out of 5 gall buckets with a small pinky knife got mud everywhere on floors cabinets. They never aske to use my kitchen sink and the keep using it getting mud and footprints everywhere. I fired that crew the next day. Then Serge the owner came in with Tim the Rep. Serge had Tim take notes and said no this was not right and had Tim write down areas where cracks need to be taped and repaired. I asked Serge if I had unrealistic expectation on this job . He answered No you purchase a Level 5 finish which means No imperfection anywhere home should look brand new when they are done. On May 14 and new crew came in again they where here at 8 am had about 5 guys. They started prepping walls, left at 3. After that maybe 2 guys would show up at 10-11 stay till 1-2 . I complained many times but Serge was more concerned about painting a school and pushed my interest aside . There was no system to this crew they would start areas all over the house my wife and I were living in pure **** Dust everywhere furniture jammed in one room. They continued this for 3 months yes 3 moths to do a 3 week job . Our kitchen island was full of stuff dinning room table in kitchen. My wife want then fired but I knew no other paint company would come into to this mess. They also used my garden hose and got paint all over it and the nozzle by cleaning brushes everyday they where here . Yes that right some days they didn't show because Serge wanted them in a school in Manchester. After 2 moths I had new landscaping put in and loom and seed the guys dragged my hose right through it and washed away my loom and seed I got mad and kicked them off property. Serge and Tim came over the next day and I showed Serge the way they were doing the job . There was a sheet rock repair in my family room the taped it and put on a coat of mud or two barely sanded it and then put the finishing coat of paint on it . There were bumps and grooves ( the repair wasn't sanded and prepped properly . Serge was disrespectful to me and then tried to BS me . Serge said the entire room is not done so they may come back and sand that . Who tapes muds and then applies a finish coat of paint then goes back and remuds and sand only ametuers . I then got so mad at Serge that I began to tel told him to get out and refund my money I have paid the over 2/3 so far. He laughed said I will never give a refund . So he then said if you stop yelling at him we can talk. I said fine and move far away from him . I said if you try to BS me one more time I will see you in court . Then I told him he was a horrible Business owner , he never once apologized for the mess and the amount of time it was taking . I explained I owned a company for 11 plus years and that's not how good business is done . He then put his head down and said he was disappointed in his crews , finally apologized and then said I've never done it but I will refund your money. Then we walked out side and he said Tim and him would discuss it and let me know what they going to do . To get another crew they said it would take another month . Finnaly we both decided the job was so close to being done ( however not to Level 5 standards ) but by now my wife and I wanted them out of our life . So they came back it and it took another month. The crew leader Doug was stuck in a hard spot Serge keep demanding him to be at another job so when Doug wasn't here not much got done and agin a couple of guys would show up at 10-11 stay to 1-2. That's no way to run a business. Today is August 10 , 2017 and Doug will be back here this am to complete the job there is one small area under my TV in family room . Was job done right ? No they only taped one joint in my family room ceiling, the cut in Lines are not professional and there are imperfection in the walls that you can see for 10 feet away. Overall it's a DYI job no better . I would have done this myself however I'm a disabled Vetern and I lust my right eye and I can not cut in a line ( my wife said even blind I could have done a better job) Information you should know Certa Pro has no painters that work for them. The sub all their work out . So you should By pass this horrible company and call local painters and get references. Also they prioritize their jobs by who pays more so that why all the crew was alway at the school in Manchester and only 1-2 guys would be at my house. Do not hire this company they gave no real painters and their customer service is horrible and Serge in condescending toward the client . It's been well over 3 months I could have had this house buildt in that time but they can't paint interior walls in that time. My wife and two dogs were so stressed and myself . I wouldn't hire them to paint dumpster.

The contractors rushed the job and as a result i had to mark up several areas including completely unpainted door sides. i emailed Certrapro and attached photos of areas that were missed and rushed. For example, back of doors not painted, two colors used in the same wall creating highlights, incomplete sanding resulting in large bumpy surfaces to name a few. Certapro sent the contractors over to redo these areas but they made it worse with the wall paint reusing old brush and creating larger areas with two tone paint.  Doors were roughly painted and the contractor was not happy to return. This process made us feel that the contractors didnt want to be at our place to paint because they also uad other jobs such as snowplowing that they focused on. Crew were absent and some rushed out half day or did not show up resulting in the head rushing through the job. They were nice people but if i knew Certapro would stick me with a crew that were not professional painters, i would have done the job myself. At the end of this job we felt we did not get the detail on the painting job we expected for the price we paid to paint approx 800 sqft if wall space. On the other hand Jill Hosling was the best color consultant and we intend to use her services for future remodeling projects.

<p>got the whole job done in one day.....didn't show up till 11:00..no calls...I had to call to see if they were coming..  I'm finding rotted boards now after the job is done and paid for...owner said he would come out to see and never showed up.... most of job came out very good, but the overall job was not.  I would not recommend them to do work at your house....I may be the only one with issues, but are you willing to take that chance??</p> <p><br /></p>

Carpentry by Doug was great, professional crew. Painting team was incredible, hard working & dependable. The work was outstanding.

<p>Generally satisfied; there are a couple of things to watch for.</p> <p>First the weather was extremely windy and they sprayed.  I mentioned my concern when I arrived home the first day (work completed during the day) and they assured me the wind was not problem.  After the job was done there was overspray on windows, plants, and deck.  they scraped the windows after I mentioned it.  The deck isn't too bad, so I will deal with it when I restain.</p> <p>The second thing came after they were done.  When I went to put the screens back in, the windows wouldn't open; they were painted shut.  Up the ladder to cut the paint and work each window open from the inside.  Took two days.  But the fun is not finished.  They painted the liner on which the sash travels.  I could get the top sash of every window to drop afew inches, but no more. I don't drop the top sash often, in fact almost never.  So I paid them and will deal with the top sash if I need to.</p> <p>Overall, the job looks great.  I would use them again. But I would go over all these details with the crew before they started and check that the windows open before they left.</p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <br />

It was excellent. They're great. I have nothing bad to say about them. They're efficient. What I liked most about them is their cleanliness afterwards. They cleaned up the place spotless. There wasn't a spot of paint. All of the clutter was taken away and gone. It was great. They're tidy and clean. They do a great job painting too.

Big mistake if you lose Melanie.

Jason and his crew did a great job.  Very courteous and efficient.  The office was able to fit us in before Thanksgiving, which was very important as we had a houseful of guests arriving.  Plan to use their services again.

Very good job.

The job went very well. Melody is very friendly, helpful and diligent. She takes extra care to make sure a job is not only done correctly but perfectly. Great attention to detail.

The crew of Paul, Brian and Mario did an excellent job and cleaned up area after each day of painting.
