Unprofessional/price gouging – required payment upfront for parts and labor of more than $750 and when oven stopped working again in less than four uses asked for an additional $279 in advance for anticipated additional labor Incorrect diagnosis – After brief testing, they said that it was computer board (most expensive component). They replaced board twice over more than eight weeks of having no oven. When it failed again, I sent board myself to Thermador’s service provider for $180 (versus quoted parts of approximately $450) and it turned out the board was not the issue! It was a less than a thirty minute repair and cleaning of fan switch which the Thermador technician identified in less than two minutes. Claims certification/ affiliation– Website reflected that they were an Angie’s List provider when I originally hired in February 2016. Now their site says they are certified by Home Advisor. Apparently they switched to Home Advisor due to bad reviews here and possibly to avoid the dispute resolution process.

It was okay. The interaction was good. The inspection was detailed but he could not figure out the problem. I told him that this may be the problem, but he said it was not the problem.

They did a fabulous job and were able to get out the next day. They did the work for my mother and they were very pleasant and made sure to clean up after themselves.

We called the company because our Haier fridge drawers got broken. The tech came out on time, had a quick look, figured the part that needs to be replaced and said the office would get in touch with me regarding the cost of repairs. A couple hours later I got a call from the office - turns out, the manufacturer doens't make this part any more. Since they were not able to repair the appliance, they didn't charge me the trip fee - now that tells you something about the work ethics of this company!
I'd definitely call these guys next time we need an appliance repairmen.

"First, we checked your appliance in Nov. of 2015 and your review is in march? we record our calls and emails and we havent missed any calls from you. Further, you called to ask me about something missing 2 months after our visit, which means you dont know what happened to it. Our techs have never been accused of stealing and are extensivly background checked before being allowed to set foot in anyones home. We pay our techs very well and Im sure they wouldnt jeopordize their poisitons over a knife. This review is nothing more than slander and we will take legal action."

After his check with both appliances and the diagnosis, we decided to use appliances until they ran out. They are over 10 yrs old and the repair is as much as a new appliance. The repairman was very honest with us and explained the repair and cost. He was prompt and professional. Will use them again if we have a problem with appliances.
I am satisfied that it turned out to be nothing really wrong with my over. However I mentioned to the repairman at the start that the oven light was out, too, and he waited until the end, when I told him, again, (that the light was out) to tell me to take out the old bulb myself and go buy one at Walmart or some place like that. Being elderly and having back problems, I wanted him to take the old bulb out and tell me how to put the glass bulb cover with the wire bracket holder back on once the new bulb was put in, especially since he didn't want to do it, himself. (Maybe, he didn't have a replacement bulb with him but he surely could have taken my old one out for me and told me how to replace it, myself.) I don't know, maybe, it was not something they do on these service calls, especially since he did get to make any money off of me. He showed me how to take off the oven door. I guess that was his way of saying that was all he was going to do. Anyway, I bought a replacement bulb and got my son to put it in for me today. I am satisfied that he didn't tell me something was wrong with my oven when there really wasn't but I wouldn't have any confidence in him if I ever had to deal with him, in particular, again. As I said, earlier, though, the scheduler was really nice.
They quickly identified the source of the issue (a wire that had melted and was a potential fire hazard!), fixed it with a workaround solution that got it working until the right replacement part came in, and then returned then to fix it for good. They were friendly, punctual, knowledgeable - a great company to deal with. I'd highly recommend them.
I bought the part for $ 14 and changed it. It took me about 1 hour of total labor.
Thanks to Angies List I paid only $ 25 for the tech to come to see the dishwasher. Other company wanted $ 125 only for coming.
"We are sorry that you feel this way however we do not use cheep knock off parts as they do not last and often cause problems down the road. We use only original manufacturer parts this is why our quality of work is high which you did not experienced yet still marked as a "D". Our tech on average spend 2 - 3 hours replacing that part and testing the machine to make sure it works properly. I am sorry you feel that we should have put your part in for free but we are running a business and thus we do have to collect a more than reasonable fee."

They came out for a diagnostic of the broken oven. They concluded that the computer terminal on the oven had burned up. They said they would order the part, but we would need to pay for it up front. After we questioned that, we agreed to pay half upfront and half after completion of the work. He said not to worry about it and didn't take any money upfront. After a few days they came out to install the new part but realized it was the wrong one and the manufacturer no longer makes that part. He offered to ship out the entire oven to have it rebuilt for $400. However if it didn't work we would have to pay $200. On further inspection of the oven we noticed that it had been reinstalled incorrectly. Therefore causing moderate damage to the cabinetry by the screws being reinstalled incorrectly.
Tech came to house to check on oven's dim LED display. Didn't even open (unscrew) LED display panel. Gave a very expensive quote to replace circuit board panel (almost cost as much as buying a brand new oven). We declined. Tech left. I called back to discuss fix, still too expensive. Guess we'll live with good working oven, just dim LED display.
Response from Certified Appliance Repair
"Thank you for your review! While we strive to exceed the expectations of every customer, sometimes parts are too expensive and in rare cases is it less expensive to repair instead of replace."
