I can't speak more highly of my experience with HCI and Alvin Ashley in particular. Being a military veteran I felt an immediate camaraderie with Alvin who himself is a veteran. As part of quoting the job he walked my wife and I through the entire process start to finish. He covered in detail what would happen at every step of the process including what materials would be used and why they were the right choice. Though he quotes jobs now, his experience as a roofer clearly showed as he easily fielded the dozen or so questions that I had. I live in a historic home in Farmington. Around town it is commonly referred to as the “Lone Ranger House” as Earle Graser (the radio show Lone Ranger) lived in it during the 1930s. It was clear to me after spending some time with Alvin that he appreciated the historical significance of my home and was committed to ensuring it's preservation. Being an engineer and having some roofing experience in my past I already had a detailed cost breakdown completed when Alvin arrived to quote the job. Alvin did not employ any of the normal salesmen BS like starting at twice the real price or pretending to call his boss to bring the price down. His starting number was extremely reasonable and very close to my estimate. After some very brief negotiations I singed a contract to have the work done that very evening. I have several out buildings on my property and have every intention of calling Alvin back when it is time to replace those roofs.

Very happy. Everyone was on time, professional and did a great job. My only complaint is finding nails and screws all summer in my yard. But overall I am very happy and recommend CHI.

This is a horrible company, and I regret hiring them. I have a small bathroom that I was remodeling. I just needed someone to install the tile in the shower and on the floor. The installer did not know anything about tile installation. He did not prep the surface correctly nor did he layout the tiles in advance. He just put up some concrete board and started gluing on tile. For the floor, none of the tiles are level and no two adjacent tiles are at the same height. In the shower, the tiles are not straight and flat. They are crooked, cockeyed, with uneven and large grout lines. The installer was not very professional arriving with barely the minimum equipment necessary. He did nothing to protect the floors or walls outside the bathroom which were inevitably damaged. He spilled mortar and grout onto our garage floor and driveway which hardened. He didn't even have a marker suitable for tile. He took a permanent marker from us (without asking) to mark the tile, and you can still faintly see his markings on the floor tile. The company couldn't even get the right tile even though we picked out every tile necessary at The Tile Shop almost two months before the job started. They never got the special double bull nose tile we selected for some outside corners instead just leaving the raw edge of cut tile exposed and covered with grout. Hiring this company was a terrible experience, and I would never do it again.

CHI was one of three companies I spoke to regarding my project, including a roof and siding replacement. Bobby was awesome to work with and made sure the project went smoothly. Both their roofing team and siding team were great people to work with and got the job done and did it extremely well. I couldn't recommend CHI enough.

They arrived on time, did a great job, cleaned up and left. All jobs were followed up by my sales rep and he even had workers come back to correct things he was unhappy with (the jobs were fine with me). All in all I would HIGHLY recommend them.

The crew arrived early in the morning, with about 15 men. They tore the old roof off, including old-style can vents, and added soffit vents to clear previously installed soffit vents. They replaced plywood decking on a sunroom roof as needed, as well as other bits that needed replacement. They added a new ridge vent and dimensional GAF Timberline shingles and extra weatherproofing at the gutter line. The crew was extremely efficient, from tear-off to final clean-up. <br /> I would recommend this company and the roofing product highly. They are a Master Installer, with verification from GAF. The price was competitive. The salesperson was communicative, and provided material and project management on time and as needed.

We apologize for your inconvenience but replacing the bad wood is proper procedure for a Roof Replacement. Your home was 1 of the 6 units CHI did Roof replacements on. We have since had 4 referrals from your condo location. They were very happy and satisfied with our work and performance. Once again we are terribly sorry we couldn't help with your issue."

<p>2013</p> <p>It went well but the trim was install on really cold days in December. I offered for them to wait until it got a little warmer, but they told me it would not be a problem. In the spring I found quite a few pieces of trim that were buckled or bowed. I believe the really cold weather and the guys working in the really cold weather contributed to the problem.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>I got with Bobby my salesman and he borrowed another one of his crews that would come over and work on my house near the end of the day. In the end the trim got repaired correctly and I had a few more trim pieces added to complete my deck area. Bobby was good to work with, he did what he said he was going to do.</p> <br />

It was pretty good, even though it's been a harsh winter. I got a 20 year warranty on workman ship and 50 year warranty on shingles, the warranty can be transferred to the next person who buys your home. They have to be trained for roofing jobs and there is a foreman overseeing the work. They completed the work in 1 day! They also kept in touch with me through the process to make sure everything was okay. I recommended them to my church as well! They also have AAA rating with the Better Business Bureau.
