Overall, I was very pleased with the work that was done. My floors turned out nicely; much better than I could have anticipated. <br /> The only negative comment I have to make is about the shoe molding that was replaced by CFC. The quality of work and the quality of materials used was subpar. <br />

<p>William Miller and his brother, Ben, are skilled at their craft.  Last summer, our floors needed refinishing and we wanted to change the color. They did an excellent job.  The coloring was even, and the four polyurethane coats made the floor shine!  They were able to remove discolorations and deep scratches.</p> <p>This summer as we remodeled our kitchen, we made a mess of the hardwood floor in that room.  We of course called William and Ben Miller back to redo the floor.  We had new floor boards put in when we enlarged the kitchen and he was able to stain it such that you would never know they were not original. The color matched perfectly with the existing floor (done last year) in the adjacent hallway.</p> <p>They are extremely professional. Mr. Miller always calls to let you know what time he will be arriving.  He arrives when he says he will.  He even calls to see how the floor looks afterward.  They volunteer to come back later if you have any problems.  It is nice to see people who actually will do the work the way you want and do it to your satisfaction.</p> <p>We found their prices very reasonable.  I had a few quotes before we went with CFC Hardwood Floors last summer.  Their price was the lowest and they had good references so we went with them.  We are glad we did.</p> <p>I would highly recommend CFC Hardwood Floors to anyone needing any kind of work done on their hardwood floors.</p> <br />

Our property was a mess for the entire month that work was being done. The wall to wall carpeting and padding was taken out of the house and dumped onto our driveway, where it stayed for 4 weeks exposed to sun and rain until finally removed after the job was finished. Added to this was other job related debris over the course of the project. This was after daily assurances from the company owner that the mounds of trash were going to be removed from our property "tomorrow." We had a lot of complaints about this from our neighbors. <br /> When discussing the scope and logistics of our project, I asked the company owner what was done with the household belongings while the job was being done. He said that his company moves everything out and stores the belongings in a pod in the driveway. When the time came to start the project, he then claimed that he wanted US to rent the pod and pay movers to empty the house which was clearly not what we had agreed upon. So he eventually rented a pod, put it in the driveway, and filled it with out 1/2 of our belongings. The rest of our furniture and appliances was stacked up on our screened porch, exposed to the elements, which he apparently thought would be acceptable for 4 weeks. To save our furniture and appliances, we had to rent a second pod (he apparently was unable to evaluate how much storage space he was going to need) and pay to move our things from the porch into the pod. We also had to pay to move our belongings from both pods back into our home after the job was finished. <br /> Quality of workmanship (laying the floor) was good (thanks to one specific employee). During the sanding stage, the equipment operator did not use a dust mask until insisted on by homeowner. Sanding equipment did not have a functioning filter (sander was operated for days with a huge hole in the dust collection bag, blowing sawdust everywhere) and a huge mess was created with sawdust blown into every nook and cranny in our home. We had to pay someone to rough clean (this should have been part of the job price if they were not going to use the correct equipment) and then spent days doing the fine clean ourselves before we could move our belongings back in.  <br /> The company owner was very difficult to deal with, full of excuses for why he didn't have enough material on site, why our driveway was covered in trash for weeks, why he/his employees didn't need to be using safety equipment/respirators during the job, why there were workdays with no one working on our site. We were so relieved to see the end of this project. In spite of an acceptable end product for the project, we found this company aggravating enough that we would never use them again ourselves, nor would we ever recommend them to anyone else. <br /> <br /> <br />

CFC did an excellent job.  They were professional and easy to work with.  I would not hesitate to recommend their services. <br />
