Hands down one of the best companies in Chester County. Kevin, the owner, is a class act and couldn’t be more personable. Mike and Max inspected the chimney and explained everything very clearly. I will continue to use Chadds Ford Chimney Sweep in the future.

Well it would have been less, but we just moved in to the house. instead of just coming in to do the sweep we asked them to also do the inspection, that's what brought the price up. it was still relatively cheap, we compared them to four other companies in the area and they were lower. Now going forward i will only need the cleaning and thats less than half of that. Two people came out to complete the work it took under two hours to two and a half.

The owner Kevin is so sweet and knowledgeable. This is my first wood burning fireplace I've owned and he took the time to answer all my questions about how to use it. The crew arrived promptly and was courteous and honest. Initially they quoted me $800.00 to repair the holes in the smoke stack liner however, they found it needed less work and charged me half the initial estimate. I wouldn't have known it was less work if they didn't tell me. They easily could have charged me more but they were honest. I will recommend them to everyone and use use them for all our fireplace needs. A great company with honest values.

The owner, Kevin Knight, has to be one of the most honest and genuine individual's for which I have had perform services at my home. Several years ago they installed the FireGuard system, which resolved a safety issue without having to reline the chimney (saving us thousands). They were just back out to inspect and clean the chimney. Once again, they were professional, knowledgeable and more than fair. Stop searching and hire these guys. You'll be glad you did. Chadds Ford Chimney Sweep just left my house. After a quick glance up there, CFCS representative said that it looked clean and probably fine to use but he couldn't really tell without putting a camera up there. That would cost an additional $200. When I told him that the man on the phone made no mention of any additional inspection costs, he said he heard the same thing from another woman the previous day and he doesn't understand why the man handling the calls doesn't tell potential customers of the full costs involved. He then told me that the bricks in the chimney needed to be parged and it would be $500-1000 to do so but he wasn't sure where in the range it would fall. I asked him if we'd be okay without that being done and he said probably. I told him I wasn't interested in getting that done and he told me the five minute visit where nothing was actually done would cost $95. I wrote a check, disgusted at feeling swindled by the man on the phone and wondering why I'm paying for Angie's List membership when I could find this kind of unreliable service for free on my own.

"Let no good deed go unpunished. Chadds Ford Chimney Sweeps could have spent 30-minutes pretending to clean this homeowner's already clean chimney and charge her $195, but we operate an honest business and saved her $100 by just charging her for a service call and chimney inspection. The $95 we charged was exactly the same amount that we quoted her on the phone when she scheduled the appointment. The $200 quoted by our technician to video scan the flue was in response to the homeowner's question on whether he was 100% certain the flue was safe. He stated words to the effect, "I believe the flue is OK, everything looks good, but the only way to be 100% certain that a chimney flue is safe is to video scan the flue." Unfortunately, when a homeowner calls to schedule a chimney cleaning and inspection, our office staff cannot anticipate every possible situation and question that our technicians will encounter in the field and it is impossible to accurately quote every possible charge that could occur. Most homeowners understand this fact as reflected by the overwhelming number of Angie's List members who give our company high reviews. Sadly, it's almost impossible to please everyone, but we continue to try."

After installing a new water heater, my husband discovered a backdraft issue with the chimney. He called Chadds Ford Chimney Sweep on a Friday, discussed his findings with them, received a likely estimate for that work over the phone, and was able to get an appt for Monday morning. Shortly before the scheduled appt, we received a call from them, apologizing for running late, offering the choice of a new arrival time or a reschedule. We were fine with them arriving later in the day. When they arrived, they went right to work, inspecting the chimney inside and out. They swept it, and explained we had a larger issue. Seems our chimney isn't lined. They gave us a price point for getting that work done (ranging from $2,500 for lining to $4,000 if a rebuild was necessary). I loved how they didn't try to press or bully us into having that work done immediately! They wrote everything down on the statement so we can follow up when we are ready. We would defnitely recommend them, and will be using them for all additional work, including vent cleanings.

If there was a rating higher than A+, THAT is what I would give this company! I have hired them several times to clean my Chimney and dyer duct. Last time I hired them it was to clean out the air ducts in my house after I had some work done inside the house. As usual, the work was top quality, the team was professional, knowledge and very friendly and the owner Kevin was a delight to work with. You can't go wrong hiring this very dependable, honest company that also has very affordable rates!
