A professional job was done in a timely manner, the team was excellent, and I would hire Charleston Remodeling for future jobs.

We now have a beautiful sanctuary of a bedroom with a great walk in closet and a TREMENDOUS bathroom! It is exactly what I imagined and Charleston Remodeling made it happen!

We asked Mark to start on October 11th (gave plenty of notice), and with the exception of the hurricane that knocked out power to the island, he started and finished on-time. Each day he couldn't start because the island was literally closed (no power, etc.), he texted me with updates. He's the most communicative contractor I've ever worked with. We needed extra work immediately due to hurricane damage and he was accommodating and responsive, and still finished on time. Very high quality workmanship. Have already recommended him to our neighbor, and would highly recommend him to anyone!

All in all, Mark and his team are just great to work with. Honest, accountable, hardworking, and just do a superior job.! I have found my contractor In Charleston.

Mark and his team did fantastic work. Mark took our ideas and made them into a reality. What started as a remodel due to major leaks turned into a beautiful work of art and craftsmanship. We had a vision of this beautiful stylized bathroom and everyone on his team contributed to part of the process. The process took a bit longer than expected (due to our design decisions) but overall was a pleasant process and we couldn't be happier.

We made some challenging changes after the first week and Mark did not skip a beat. The entire crew were respectful of our home and the remodel far exceeded our expectations. My daughter and son-in-law called Mark and received a response right away. An estimate and any modifications were always provided within a couple of days. Charleston Remodeling was responsive throughout the entire process. While removing old floors Mark and his team found a separate issue with the foundation. Mark promptly notified them of the issue. The issue was the responsibility of the homeowner's association. Mark used his business connections with the homeowner's association's contractor to expedite the process of getting the foundation fixed. This saved time (possibly weeks) and money. Mark and his team are forthright and flexible. They provided a great product and effort. The floors and ceiling are better looking now than before. Mark and his team are reasonable people. <br />

After 8 years of waiting we were finally able to expand our home which we originally planned to do when we purchased our home. We spoke with other contractors but once we spoke with Mark with Charleston Remodeling he made the construction process more understandable and spoke with us on a personal level. He explained step by step each process of the remodel. He made us feel comfortable and we knew we had chosen the right contractor. His crew: Andy, Allen, Jamie, and Johnny were always professional, polite, on time, understanding, and did an excellent job to give us our dream addition that we had been hoping for the past 8 years. They paid close attention to detail and always involved us in the process. We were very indecisive on choosing flooring, fixtures, tile, etc. but Mark and his crew never pressured us into making a quick decision. Mark Melbourne did a great job of making recommendations to repair the problem and to avoid problems of this type in the future.  His initial advice was sound and he allowed us to go through the process of changing gears before doing the job, until we finally understood that he was right!   His view of the job was more comprehensive than the other quotes that we received - but I feel that we got a very good value for the money spent.  He did more work for less money than other quotes that we received. We decided to put the money that it would take for them to handle the 30 year old ductwork and put it toward new ductwork. This was Mark's 1st suggestion, but it took us awhile to come to terms with spending this money.  We love the air quality from the new ductwork and are so happy to have the flooring stable again. <br /> Mark always either answered all phone calls or immediately called me back - EVEN AFTER THE JOB WAS COMPLETED.  It was amazing. <br /> They were great to work with - careful regarding tracking anything into the house and they were very willing to get the job done completely - They also communicated with the air conditioning company that installed the ductwork.  <br /> Thanks! <br /> <br />

We were a little concerned having to hire another company to complete what we had already paid for once, so naturally we were more careful checking out someone to do all the work we needed to have done.  This time we didn?t rely on a recommendation from a friend, but decided to go through Angie?s List.  We are glad we did. <br /> <br /> We could not have asked for a better experience with a contractor.  Right after I called Charleston Remodeling, Mark returned my call promptly for an appointment.  He came over, checked under our house, listened to our concerns about the previous work that was supposed to have been done, and assured us that they could do the work that needed to be done.   Mark explained the work to be done, the cost of doing the work, and the schedule for completion of the project. <br /> <br /> As you can see from the work that was done, it was extensive.  As work progressed on the flooring issues, they even found some electrical problems, which were taken care of promptly.  Having to redo the shabbily done work or work not done at all by the previous contractor in addition to the new problems added to the challenge by Charleston Remodeling.  <br /> <br /> We were very pleased with the professionalism that the team from Charleston Remodeling did their work.  Mark, Andy, Jamie, and Johnny were prompt in their arrival each morning and immediately went to work.  They would put protective covering down each morning, do their work, and clean up after themselves before leaving for the day.  <br /> <br /> Since we had been ?duped? by another contractor, we had lots of questions.  The Charleston Remodeling team took time to explain what they were doing and never made us feel that we were in their way.   Their friendliness and patience was much appreciated. <br /> <br /> Another thing that we liked about Charleston Remodeling is that Mark always returned our calls and he had hands on with some of the work ? actually helped with some of the work, which was refreshing.  He didn?t have a problem crawling under the house and helping when needed. Mark & his crew did an amazing job on our recent renovation. We are so happy with how the renovation turned out! When asking for quotes from multiple contractors Mark was the only contractor who showed up on time & had the quote to me when he stated he would. He stayed on budget, was always great at communicating with us as project went on, and completed the work on time. We could not be more pleased!

We have had a leak caused by an issue with the flashing and windows on a bay window in our dining room. He came out and inspected the issue, told us what needed to be done/what he would be doing, sent an estimate, and completed the job in a timely and professional manner. He also installed some insulation in another area of the house. The roof above the bay window was re-shingled and the flashing was replaced and reinforced. To make sure that this was where the issue was stemming from, he is having us wait for a couple of good rain storms with wind to make sure there is no more leak. Then he will be coming back to fix the ceiling in the dining room. We will absolutely use him and his workers for any future construction/repair needs. We were thoroughly pleased with everything and very glad we found him on here! <br />

Mark and his teammate were on time and very professional and courteous.  They arrived when they said they would to accommodate my schedule and went right to work.  they took every effort to protect my property while they worked and wasted no time in performing their tasks.  Even when finished hey asked if there was anything else they could do for me.  I would highly recommend this company for any home repair work that needs to be done. <br />

Mark and his guys showed up 15 minutes early, placed drop clothes to protect carpet and covered furnishings with plastic to keep them clean. <br /> <br /> They did an excellent job and didn't leave until it was as near to being paint ready as one visit to a drywall repair will allow. <br /> <br /> Exceptional job, he and his crew are on the top of my "contractors-to-use" list!

They were on time and very professional. A real pleasure to do the business.The work was just as promised if not better and the  scope of construction and repair knowledge was impressive. I had a few items that only became apparent once they started and they did not blink they just formalized a solution and kept going. That was incredible. Absolutely great.  Mark and his crew was very easy to work with.  They also had great communication.  We were able to discuss any ideas with them.  It has now been about four years since the remodel and there is still nothing I would change about the remodel.  Many of my Bed and Breakfast guests have also given high praise to the design of the home. I highly recommend Mark and his company to others.
