I paid for the special, and they called me right away to do the work, but we were unable to do it at that time. The coupon was to expire six months later. When I tried to contact them later in the year, before the expiration, I never got a return call or an explanation. No work was ever done, and I never heard from them

I bought a big deal for handyman work. Called the company 4 or 5 times, left messages. Emailed 3 times. Randy's wife called me back and left a message stating that Randy would call me back within 2 days, it was no call back. Angies List got involved to resolve this problem also with no success. Horrible company!

Everything went perfectly!

Bought BIg Deal for handyman work and Randy finished all the work and did very well. Installed a baby gate incorrectly but he came back to finish the job correctly at no cost. Big Deal price was good, his hourly rate is a bit on the expensive side, but all in all very good.

It didn't.

Permitted and passed LADBS inspection no problems... Great to work with.

Good communication and friendly attitude. I was very pleased with the quality of the work and speed at which tasks were completed. One job was not completed (repair or replace weather stripping) but only because he was not sure of the materials needed. Agreed to come back at no additional charge to address it after he could confirm the best way to fix it.

The person was very professional and cordial. He was very efficient. The job was very well done and he took his time doing it.

Since we were not able to even make contact with them, I would say this was a complete waste of time and the worst possible outcome.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE !!!!!!! Don't use this company. I paid for services on May 26th. I have reached out to Chatsworth Home Improvements & Repars on 3 different occasions...by phone and email. It is June 16th and I have yet to receive a response from them to schedule the work. I also reached out to Angie's List and all they say is they will call them and have them call me. Well of course that did not work either. Fed up!!!!!!!!

Horrible communication. Gave them several months to schedule and numerous calls including to Angie's list Customer service. They are just not able to handle the volume.

He is a one man show and he got really busy because he issued the coupon. Which was fabulous. I can tell you right now in every way straight A's. He was great. His wife actually reached out and said this is our first time doing this with Angie's List and we're just backed up because so many people bought the coupon, we want to work with you and we are eager to see you. <br /> <br /> And he is retired from his work and is doing this on the side for fun. He's just upbeat, friendly, gets the job done. Realizes it's not the time for 20 questions. Some people like to talk, but he came in and I told him I will be upstairs doing work. He got almost everything done that I had on my list. He told me what he could do and what he couldn't. He built me a shelf and came back and finished. I would recommend him any day of the week. He is great.  <br /> <br /> There were a couple of other things I wanted him to finish so he did come back and I paid him separately for that. It was very reasonable. He works at a good pace. He is very trustworthy and does great work.  <br /> <br />

Randy is very friendly and easy to work with.

Randy Bemis is a top-notch guy. He's extremely friendly, his prices are reasonable, and he returned several times (at no extra charge) to do touch-ups after paint had dried, etc. It's clear he takes pride in his work and his reputation. Highly recommend him!
