About us
Hi, my name is Greg Weiger. I started plumbing in 1976, served an apprenticeship and continued on to earn my masters license in plumbing and gas fitting. I started my business in 1989. I currently have no employees, I prefer to do the work myself, so I know it's being done right, and it helps me maintain a more personal relationship with my customers. I do small repairs to very large scale plumbing jobs. My specialty is remodeling of older homes and subcontracting work. I work with several General contractors that do additions or install new gourmet kitchens and baths. I offer special discounts to active military families. Greg explained how I did not have a leak in either shower. One shower was just left over water dripping - normal. The other shower has a problem with the bathtub diverter. We are going to try to fix it ourselves. Greg emailed me shortly after I tried to contact him via Angies List and we arranged a visit early the next week. He showed up on time. We are very pleased.

Very responsive. Gave me a quote over the phone. Came the day after I called to request service. Was on time, pleasant, efficient. Excellent work. Will definitely use again. You may need to wait for him to call back after you leave a message, but he does so within 24 hours.

Greg arrived within the time window originally communicated. Upon arrival he introduced himself. He was able to quickly identify the problem and then fix it. He had all required tools, ladder and pipe on his truck. He was very kind, friendly and professional. He showed us the faulty pipe, cleaned the area up and the cost was inline with our expectations. A very positive experience.

<p>I called him in response to a leak coming from the ceiling in my living room - he responded very quickly. Advised I turn off the water -was not sure which was the main water handle. I took a pic and sent it to him and he advised which one it was. Told me he wasn't sure if he could get by today. But then called me a bit later to advise he would be by that day. He was there for a bit trying to figure exactly where the leak was coming from. Cut a square area to access the pipe then replaced the section where the leak was. </p> <br />

I rarely give out such high ratings however Greg at Cherokee plumbing exceeded expectations. This was the second time in one week we needed plumbing services - since bad luck usually comes in threes we know who to call if it's a plumbing problem! Our hot water heater broke over the weekend and Greg came to our rescue on a Tuesday. He was already in the middle of another big job however made the time to come to our rescue. He arrived promptly, did the job quickly, cleaned up the work area, and the cost of the job ended up less than expected!

Greg is the plumber I use when I have plumbing problems. He is timely, his fees are reasonable, and he gives good advice, including objective advice on not doing unnecessary repairs. Today was no exception. I had a 35 year old toilet that was ceasing to shut off after flushing. I could not describe the valve involved to him on the phone, so we agreed I would send him a photo. From the photo, he correctly determined what needed to be replaced. He came out he did that job quickly. I also had him replace a malfunctioning shower head, and check out the remaining faucets, indoors and out. As always, I felt very satisfied with his performance. <br />

I've used Greg a few times over the past few years. He's installed and did all the plumbing for a new bathroom in our basement a couple of years back. Since then I've called him for minor projects such as replacing a toilet, fixing a faucet that I broke, and more recently to connect a new sink, dishwasher and faucet to the current plumbing. <br /> Each time I've used him, he showed up on time and got the job done. His rates are reasonable and his work is high quality. <br /> With that said, I'd recommend him to anyone who is looking for a plumbing job done right. You can't go wrong with Greg from Cherokee Plumbing. <br />
