Leak sealed. Egress window installed. Project started on 7/4; not yet completed as of 8/27. Finishing of exterior window not yet done; two missed appointments to have it done. In middle of work to install egress window, failed to properly secure wall opening; heavy rainstorm overnight flooded finished basement. They did dry out and repair the damage, but it should not have happened in the first place. Drywall installer did a good job, but did not know how, or did not choose to, put a finish pebble coating on the drywall installed. Very poor communication throughout project.

Carrie, the salesperson, and Matt, the owner, both explained what would be done and answered my questions. Matt and the other workers were friendly and kept me informed of their progress. It took longer than normal due to a holiday, hot humid weather, and a worker's family vacation -- all understandable. They kept the work site neat and weather-proof every day. They hand-dug the hole which meant no machinery on my lawn. Sawing the concrete was done from the outside and I had very little dust inside the basement. They only cut out the drywall in my finished basement that was necessary, which gives me less drywall to have patched up. They removed all the excess soil. The dirt around the window was topped off with the rocky soil from below, but that's probably because I had taken the top soil before they came and we failed to coordinate putting it back. Overall, I'm satisfied.

Work was completed in one day. Performance was on schedule and without any delays or excuses so often encountered in the trades

I'm not one to usually contract out work but Carrie and Matt did a great job from the quote process to the the clean up process. Their care and quality of work was great. After the project was completed you could barely tell that there was work performed. No mess left behind. I would definitely use there services again if ever needed. I was even able to get them another job. Thanks again Carrie and Matt for a job well done

It went outstanding! They were very professional, punctual, and were overall very helpful. They had useful tips to reduce dust and the egress window looks great!

The job took a total of 3 1/2 days to complete during a blistering hot and humid time period. The brother/sister team did a fabulous job!

From acquiring the building permit and working with the city officials to ensure all requirements were up to code, digging down 6 feet into heavy dirt, making sure the job site was clean and organized at the end of each day, installing window and river rock at the base of the well, even cleaning and touching up an minor scratches "dings" that occurred during the install. The window was framed, insulated and sealed both inside and outside. All excess dirt was removed daily.

Both workers were knowledgeable, focused on the job at all times, arrived each day ready to work and were enjoyable and honest people to work with. We would highly recommend them.

Most of you who know me also know that my house has gotten water in the basement ever since I bought it in 1990 - 91. If there was more than a inch of rain, the basement would seep. We are in a low lying area. We have used the wet vac for cleaning up the mess and had just about everything on wheels and/or platforms. I just cant do it anymore so I decided to get quotes for a French drain system all around the house and a new sump pump at the other end of the house. I went with Basement Authorities because I liked the system they were going to use and the price was reasonable and in-line with my other quotes.

These guys were such hard workers. They moved everything in the basement to the middle of the basement and covered it. They broke up the concrete in one back room and installed a sump pit with 1/2 Champion pump and StormPro 2100 with a battery backup. Then they jackhammered the perimeter of the basement like 3 foot wide by 2 foot deep and removed all of the busted cement (bucket by bucket). They laid new gravel down so they could to install the Geo Channel. They re-cemented the floor back up. Installed 1/2 hp Champion sump pump in existing pit. Then outside they dug a channel from the house to about 25 foot away from the house and buried the discharge PVC to a bubble pot for the new sump pit. These guys were such hard workers and so very polite. They went into the basement and I didn't see them until they took a lunch break. Then back down to the basement. I can't say I didn't hear them because there was a jackhammer going at all times. It was a real dusty mess for the upstairs too: I changed the furnace filter daily.

When the guys would bring up buckets of the busted cement, they would return to the basement with a bag or two of new cement mix. They were so organized and knew what they were doing. They used 118+ bags of cement to seal up the basement. If I had any questions, they would answer me. I would have to pick up my mother from dialysis a few times, and left the workers alone in my house (that is how much I trusted them).

They took a little less than a week to finish the job. They took off the plastic covering and cleaned up the basement. Matt told me that I should wait a week before the stuff (machines etc.) should be put back. But, if I waited like 30 days, it would be a better cure for the cement. All I need the basement for is laundry and a project on occasion. So, I waited until mid January to call them for a few spots that were not level enough for me. They came a few days after my call, leveled out a few spots and finished up the work.

I have to say; I waited to write this because I wanted to make sure everything worked. The snow is melting and the pumps have started to run. The basement is dry. So far so good. I am so happy I could just cry. If you are considering basement work, you should look at these guys. They work hard, (no screwing around) the owner works right along side his men and they do a great job. When I decided to do this I was so apprehensive, it was a lot of money that I certainly couldn't waste and having strangers in the house. I picked a good company.
