Bad decision and won't be hiring again.. Their work was shoddy.. Drywall has a 3" gap between the old and the new around the whole perimeter which they taped, had to come back and fix the cutouts for the electrical outlets because the holes were cut too large and jagged, had to come back to attach pieces of chair rail that fell off twice, had to come back twice to install baseboard because they told homeowner at the last minute that they could not find the correct baseboard the first time around so homeowner had to run around two days before installation was to take place and wound up purchasing the thinner but same profile baseboard which was the same baseboard that I was told by George's worker that they found so upon their advice, I the homeowner purchased it and long story short...installation was a disaster because the thinner profile did not butt up to the outside corners with the thicker profile baseboard so this led to them taking off baseboard around corners into my kitchen and foyer (now more work for me not to mention that I paid for baseboard twice for the one room ). They also used half of the old baseboard and half of the new baseboard in the dining room instead of using all of the new. I was not told that they were going to do this and was upset when I saw what they did but I kept on being told that once painted, I would never know the difference but I definitely noticed a clear difference. I was so upset that I went online and I found the correct baseboard in 10 minutes and picked it up at a local lumberyard the next day. It was agreed that they find the baseboard that homeowner clearly stated they wanted from the beginning....but they failed to find it and apparently they didn't look too hard. Had to keep coming back and at least they did that. Too much to list here. They also sanded and polyurethaned the window frame and did such a horrible half a----job that homeowner is still correcting it. The wood was rough and uneven and had grey spots all over it. Their response when I said how horrible it looked was that the casing around the window was a favor and not part of the deal which is true...but the real favor would have been to leave it alone. Bottom line.. Homeowner distraught and exasperated. First negative report and experience in 35 years. The only positive I can say here is that they came back time after time after time to fix all kinds of things that were done incorrectly. Pieces of the chair rail fell off a couple of times, the cut-outs around the electrical outlets were cut way too large and jagged, etc. I still worry and took pictures because of the gap in-between the old drywall and the new drywall around the perimeter of the room and was told recently that this was not done correctly. They put some meshing over the gap and plastered/taped it but I worry about it holding up. It is now January 2, 2013. The holidays are over and now I have to get to work as dining room is still under construction. I still have much sanding to do before I can even begin to prime. Unfortunately because I could not get to all of this before Christmas, we ate Christmas Dinner with the Dining room under construction. The paper they left is still on the floor. I wasn't going to leave any review at all because I am afraid of retaliation somehow but decided finally to let other's know what I went through. Hopefully George who never did oversee the work while it was being done may learn something positive from this as it was clear to me that his guys are far more interested in the clock than they are in the quality of their work. I have never left a negative report and in fact I just left a review for a plumber that I got through Angie's List and was so impressed that I gave him straight A's. This was a guy that didn't care how long it took to complete the job. He just cared about how well he did the job. Clearly the opposite approach here.

I just moved from Florida with my family and bought a house that needed a lot of things done because it was a foreclosed house. George and his crew are great to work with because they took care of all the items I had on my list and more. It was an easy transition for us because we choose the right contractor. They came everyday and so much was accomplished so quickly with quality work. I have recommended them to my new neighbor and now they are doing some work for them!! This is a true remodeling company!

I am so pleased with the workmanship on this project that I had to review it! George was amazing. When he starts, do not get in his way because he and his crew are in a mission. I had 25 days to to move in to the apartment/condo and I was skeptical to having it all done. It was a big project! I contracted him to demolish the kitchen, bathroom, flooring and a wall between the kitchen and living room and remodel and install all new items in the condo. The first thing he removed all the rubbish out after the demolish and took immediately the measurements and provided it to me to send it to the Kitchen Cabinet Company. Everything was included in the cost except the major accessories, appliances, cabinets, faucets, tiles, and wood flooring. It made it very easy since they knew what was needed to complete the projects and I had to go to work everyday and could buy and/not deliver. The wood floor was done in a diagonal design and the porcelain tiles were put down staggered. I have to tell you that his bid was not the cheapest and that was not my goal! The goal was his reputation. His prices were about 10% higher but well worth it because I went for the cheapest company last time and my last house I remodeled was a disaster and was never completed. At the same time I decided to do some upgrades on designing the floor and tiles and he did not charge me extra. He does have an accent when he speaks ( tell him to repeat it if you do not understand) but his workmanship is THE BEST! Highly recommend Chicago Quality Remodelers.

This company has given me a true 5 star service and workmanship. My wife and I were very suprised on how much knowledge and know how he has in this business. I received a citation form the city that the deck that was build 8 years ago is not accepted with the city codes and George knew the inspector and said he can handle it and get it up to code and not to worry so we hired him and he sure knew what he was doing that I passed the inspection. After a couple of days my wife and I decided to hire him to remodel our apartment ( I live and own a 3 flat ). He was so organized and on time with all the scheduled projects. I have been scammed once and it always made me skeptical with service providers but his company had so many references, he provided with this bid for the project, of past clients, which I called and they highly spoke of him and evenly allowed me to come to see his job. I can not say he was the cheapest but was very fair and no last minute extra cost suprises!

This company was recommended to me by Century Tile a few years back and he did some work and I was very satisfied so I kept his name for future projects. I have also referenced them to my family and friends with everyone being totally satisfied . The work he and his crew did for me has always been very proffesional and they start and finish. I needed to upgrade alot of things in my house, a list from my wife, and George has a lot of experience with rehabbing so he was a perfect match. His wife, Maria, is a great inside person getting all the materials ordered and delivered on time for every project. My wife is happy with all the upgrades and I am happy for the great bundle discount he provided! If you have a lot of miscellaneous projects this company can do it with no problem.

If you are looking for a company that will provide a complete overall work in your home go no further and call George. He and his wife ( Maria ) helped me to make major decisions that saved me money and time. Their team were very organized, clean and proffessional. I was going to put a new wood floor in the living room and dining room and they suggested to refinish and put an extra layer of finish to give extra durability on the floor since I have a 60 pound dog. That saved me thousands and it helped my budget to rehab the bathroom. The deck was a great treat and I am enjoying it everyday. It was a great experience to know that these people know what they are doing and are quick!!

Overall it went very well.George the owner I believe, was very nice to work with. The contractor staff were great. The costs were all negotiated upfront and he did not go over on cost. Stayed within budget for labor and parts.Only problem is work took a little longer than originally expected. But it was a lot of work with a lot of little twists and turns along the way due to how this home was originally built. At the end of the day, Chicago Quality Remodelers(George) and his staff did a great job. I'd hire them again and I'd recommend them to anyone. Thanks George.

After providing a rough estimate of the job ,George the contractor viewed the bathroom in person the folowing day and confirmed the estimate.George arrived promptly at 8:00,as agreed, and began removing the exiting tile and subfloor. He and his helper installed new subfloor and new tile. The following day, the tile was grouted. The apartment was thoroughly cleaned up at all time during the work and no mess was left behind. The new tiles looks great.I defenetly recommend George and Chicago Quality Remodelers for people how want a really and professional work.
