Brick or Stone Fireplace (Gas) - Install
Detailed review left on Google. Due to limitations here, condensed review below. Hired company to install ventless gas fireplace and do some masonry work on chimney. Fireplace was delayed due to them ordering wrong item. What was eventually installed still had the wrong parts, potentially putting dangerous fumes into our house. Eventually corrected. Brick work on fireplace quoted. When different workers came out to start work, stated what was quoted was far less than what they believed was actually needed. Delays while they come to an agreement on what is actually needed. I got to listen to their workers disparage one another on who was right and what work was really needed. So yeah, unprofessional and unsafe. My concerns were ignored until the end, when I informed them I would be leaving honest reviews where I could. Would not recommend.

"Hi Harold. We just wanted to touch base with you on this. Arleon & Alex did a great job installing the gas logs, and the masonry on the chimney. The guys also installed a new crown on the chimney and did it at no cost because they wanted to make the situation right and make everyone happy. The burner was the wrong burner sent to us by the vendor and Brandon installed it because the box label was correct but the vendor had the wrong burner in the box but Alex and our company corrected the issue and had the correct one shipped to us asap and installed as soon as it came in. Alex said there was no danger as the chimney flue itself was currently open and not closed off with plenty of air flow it wouldn't have caused any danger situation and no fumes were getting into the home as the flue was completely open at the time. The masonry did have to wait till the temperature was above freezing to finish. I stayed in contact with everyone with updates . We reposnded asap to every email you sent to us. I kept you and your wife informed on updates as I received them . I don't recall any of our guys arguing over which quote was the correct way to do the masonry. Our staff has all worked together a long time and we get along with eachother like a family. The 1 star does affect Arleon & Alex who work very hard and are good at what they do and those 2 guys take pride in their work. Your wife even said how greatful she was for Alex and how great he was. They did an excellent job when everything was completed. They did additional masonry at no extra cost that wasn't on the quote that were unforseen issues at the time of the estimate. Brick or Stone Fireplace (Non-Gas) - Repair
I contacted Chimney Cricket about a upper chimney rebuild. Two man crew came out, set up a scaffold. One guy working up top and one guy doing ground work. They rebuilt the upper chimney in one day, The chimney looks good. I was satisfied with the work and I would recommend this company if you need brick work.

Jeramie was amazing and very knowledgeable. Told him what I needed and he did a thorough inspection and advised me the best and cheapest way to ge to my goal. I actually had him out to inspect the chimney and another company was going to do the fireplace repair until he advised they do all and it was cheaper. Highly recommend

Beware of this company. We had an appointment for them to come out to give us an estimate for a new front porch. They never showed and didn’t call. Three days later the owner returned my husband’s call and apologized for the mistake. We got an estimate and he gave us 10% off because of the inconvenience. We financed through them and waited for our work date. My husband took off of work because we were told they needed someone home. At 11:30 the day of the install, when nobody had called or shown up my husband called and they said, sorry nobody can come today. They gave us another date 3 weeks later saying that it was no problem doing the work even though it was half way into November. That day came and we came home at lunch time to see the progress to find nobody here. When my husband called, they said that someone had been out to start the work and were then called to another job. We were told they would be back the next day. It was a lie. Nothing had been started and from that day on we couldn’t even get them to return our phone call. A month later, my husband had to cancel the financing because it was clear they were never going to provide the service they promised. DO NOT use this company. We have a cracked and falling apart porch that we’re stuck with now until spring when we can try to hire another company. We’re hoping that not getting it fixed will not cause more problems with leaks, etc.

Waited 2 weeks to get an appointment. The guy came in and looked up the chimney told me I had a crack in the fireplace and I needed to pay $3000-$4000 to get it repaired or buy a vent free unit they MIRACULOUSLY had “in the van for $1500 (how convenient). He told me I had to pay $200 for this... no cleaning... just looked up there and said oh I can’t do it you owe us $200 and it cannot be applied to the repair unless you give us $550 today! What a scam... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, hire a company that will come out and give you a quote. Not a company that will charge you for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I’m disgusted.

The install went well, they did a real nice job, cleaned up good too. My only complaint was it took about two months from the time I paid the deposit,until they did the installation. I am assuming it was because of the steel tariffs and they can't get the product as quick.

They did an excellent job! They (Shadrick & Sam) were very knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt! Cleaning fireplaces is very messy work, but they protected our new carpet nicely with drop cloths. And they did a great job cleaning up after their work was complete. We will need some repairs as a result of the inspection, but Shadrick was very informative and explained why the repairs needed to be made and how the repairs would be made when we schedule the work.

They did the job, but it wasn't to my satisfaction. It was really hard to reach them by phone to correct the issue, but once I withheld the check, they came right away and did a really good job! I was pretty satisfied, and the price was fair.

Excellent experience and I would recommend them. A plumber told me that my chimney was probably blocked so I called Chimney Cricket to come out. They were excellent to deal with on the telephone and came out the next morning on time. The owner cleaned out the chimney and showed me all of the leaves that had fallen down, partially blocking my hot water heater vent. He cleaned everything out and suggested that we install a chimney cap. Our home inspector had also suggested a cap. He immediately installed the cap and mesh around it - done and cleaned up within an hour. Very professional. I would recommend them again and already gave their business card to my next door neighbor.

It took forever to finally get on the schedule to have the work done once we contracted with them and got the parts ordered. There was also a little confusion over the gas burner that we could have with the log set we had ordered. I think we started the process in early November and were told we would have it done in the first couple weeks of December. We kept being told that there were others on the schedule ahead of us that needed to be completed. We finally got it scheduled and were told it would be a 2-3 day job. I believe the installation took place the week of January 15. It ended up being the full week, but the workers were very diligent, hard working, and cleaned up after themselves very completely. They even braved some extreme weather conditions to get up on the roof and install the chimney liner. We were very happy with the finished product and would have been more irritated with the delays in getting scheduled if we were actually occupying the house at the time. We moved in a couple weeks after the job was completed and have really enjoyed our new fireplace! <br />
