Provider showed up very late, did not perform tasks as advertised, and acted in a non-professional manner. Provider tried to use his time to offer me very expensive options for updates and fixes that I didn't need or ask for.      <br /> <br /> I was given a 2-hour window, 10 am till noon, to expect technicians to arrive. No one showed up. After I contacted the provider 3 times someone picked up the phone and informed me that they'll head to my home then. Technician and his assistant arrived a bit after 12:30 pm.     <br /> <br /> Technician spent a total of 20 minutes working on the chimney. Although advertised deal promised to "Inspecting the fireplace operational components and a thorough sweeping of all major parts such as the firebox, throat, smoke shelf, smoke chamber, and flue with a written certified inspection", technician spent less than 5 minutes brushing the chimney's interior. None of the components listed where inspected or cleaned.      <br /> <br /> Technician spent around 10 minutes inspecting the lower half of the chimney with a video camera. The camera got entangled with the cap's cable, and he didn't try again. Unlike what was advertised  in the big deal that included checking the "damper operation, chimney crown and chimney cap", none of these components where checked.     <br /> <br /> Technician spent the rest of his time giving me options for improving my (fully operational) fireplace. These included converting it to a gas fireplace or casting the chimney. Offer price tags went up to $6,000.    <br /> <br /> Technician and his assistant exchanged inappropriate jokes and comments, such as "this is what she said", while they were working on the chimney.     <br /> <br /> I asked for a refund the provider declined.

The vents needed to be nine inches away from the wall, but since my vents were touching the wall, the state would not approve this work.  I haven't had hot water for 2 days, and I have kids.  The technician put in vents and cleaned up.  Everything seemed great.  He was very professional and courteous.  I gave them my credit card, but they didn't have a swiper.  Later that night I got a call from my credit card company asking if I had approved this purchase, as it had been attempted three times.  It felt very uneasy about this and cancelled my credit card at that time.  I did a Google search and found they had three different addresses, two were very similar, just the spelling was different.  Something just didn't match up.  I called them this morning, when their website stated they would be in the office.  No one answered for 45 minutes.  When someone finally did answer, it sounded like it was a residence, as there was a baby screaming in the background.  I asked the person on the phone for the correct address so I could just bring a check for the work that was done, since they weren't going to be able to get any money from my credit card.  When I asked for the address, the man hung up on me!!  The technician called me and offered to come pick up the check as to not inconvenience me.  Why wouldn't they just give me the address so I could bring the check?  This is all very fishy and I am worried I've been ripped off.

It went ok. Scheduling was good.  They sent two technicians initially, and they were punctual and professional.  Something happened with my gas fire logs when they were repairing my chimney and it didn’t work after they were done.  They also used a different color cement so it didn’t match.

There was confusion about the appointment time. The contractor showed up on the wrong day when I was out of town so we had to reschedule. When I had my first interaction with him, he seemed luke warm about doing the current service and uninterested in any future projects. After the consult, it was very difficult to set an appointment with him. The communication was a big problem. But my husband was satisfied with the work.

It turned out fine.

It went well from start to finish.  He showed up and time and reviewed what needed to be done.  When he returned to do the masonry work, he was very professional and knew what he was doing.  He cleaned up after the prepping, repairing and painting of the rear masonry wall.  I wished there were more professionals like this vendor.  Will definitely use him for future jobs. <br />

They came out after I purchased the "Big Deal" and the service went really well. I had call them to set up and appointment and they came out. It was the first time that I used their service and it turned out a good work.

The team arrived on-time and completed the jobs within the anticipated time frame.  They are highly professional and provided detailed information on what the project entails and why the various tasks needed to be done.  The company was first recommended to us by the company that had installed our new hot water heater 18 months ago.   We would not hesitate to recommend this company to friends and neighbors.  They did an outstanding job.

Responded to voice message in a timely manner.  Was able to schedule me within 3 working days. Technician, Darryl, was punctual, professional, friendly and provided outstanding service.  Would definitely recommend this company and will use them again next year.

Very professionally done.  On time and no bother to me.  After they did the work, the chimney cap fell (probably because it was not put back quite right), but no problem, they agreed to come to put it back up at no charge.  It took a while for them to get to it, but it was indeed done yesterday...

Overall the experience was excellent!!! The service staff were professional, polite, responsive and within budget with no hidden costs.   I had several bids for this job from other companies and Chimney Express provide the best value and service. Please believe me, I am very happy I chose Chimney Express. <br />
