Went great. Mr. McKinney was punctual and after checking how my system was set up, he was able to provide recommendations for better coverage of the lawn yet minimize use of water. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. I highly recommend him!

Two leaks in sprinkler system, both in locations that this do-it-yourselfer didn't want to tackle. I called several places listed on Angie's List and Christopher was the only one who said he "might" be able to deal with it the next day (caveated on finishing another job in time, otherwise he too said it would be sometime next week). All others said it would be in a week or more. He and his assistant came out the next afternoon and spent a couple hours on the job. One break was right next to a valve that he said was old so he suggested that I allow him to replace it, which I did. He provided pricing as he went along, so there wasn't a surprise at the end. It did end up costing more than I anticipated, but what home repair doesn't? I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the effort they put into clean up prior to leaving. I could hardly tell where they had dug things up.

I got 3 bids on this project. Chris was far and away the most knowledgeable on this kind of watering system. He used a Rain Bird RWS Root Watering System with four 36-in. Tubes and a 0.5 GPM Bubbler for the largest tree (about 16 inches in diameter) and four 18-in. Tubes and a 0.25 GPM Bubbler for each of the 2 smaller trees (about 12 inches in diameter). He minimized the damage to tree roots by using a Flex tubing nearer the trees after using PVC to reach the area. He was punctual, efficient and careful on the project, replacing sod he removed to minimize the impacts of digging. He took time to explain the details of how the system worked, including planning the sizing of the Bubbler watering rates0. I was confident from my initial conversation with him that he was someone who knew what he was doing and honest in his dealings. The job was finished in a day and 1/2, and functions just as we were hoping it would. I would strongly recommend Chris Kinney for any lawn (or tree) irrigation work, and I plan to use him for any future work I have.

If you need irrigation work done, this is the guy. When he arrived on time, he told me what they would be putting flags at the heads as they ran the system, they would then tell me what they suggest for my system and I would decide what was to be done. These guys were great, it happened exactly as he said it would. He made some suggestions on specific irrigation heads and informed me of some issues that were not really a problem but wanted me to be aware. I like this guy because he answered my questions, was very knowledgeable and I believe him to have high level of integrity. I will continue to use him as I have a need.

"Your very shoddy system was so shoddily designed and poorly maintained it would NOT FUNCTION AT ALL when we arrived to perform the "comprehensive sprinkler tune up" which you had purchased on Angie's List. You "ended up" having to replace the controller because it had been fried by many power surges and would NOT FUNCTION AT ALL!!! The prices you were quoted, which you freely agreed to, were very competitive as are all of our prices for all of our work. You agreed to those prices without complaint at the time. And now 6 months later you're giving me a D on "price"? Perhaps your expectations were not based in reality. Maybe you should have turned down our proposal to work for you and made arrangements to have someone else do the work. I notice that you entered "Yes" under Hire Again:, we would decline to work for you again. Please try one of our competitors in the future."

Kenny and his co worker on time. Did check all the units. However, the parts he suggested replacing such as nozzle, rotator etc were exorbitantly expensive when compared to market! A rotator costs about 13 at Ace, but I paid 45.

"First of all, you don't even know my name. More importantly, you were not being charged for merely the part. It's practically impossible to believe that you believed that! You were charged for the part, the proper installation, adjustment, and final check of the part. Secondly, the parts we use are not available at your local home improvement stores, therefore you are not even comparing apples to apples. AND most importantly, you were thoroughly apprised of our assessment of your very poorly designed system and provided with the EXACT costs of making the repairs and modifications we had suggested. Of the items we suggested, you opted to have us do only the most pressing and AGREED to the clearly stated costs. Your review implies that you were somehow surprised at the price of our services (calling the price "exorbitant". If it was exorbitant, why did you freely agree to have us do the work?) , which by the way (the price) is very competitive, and even on the low side of competitive. You could have decided at any point to have gone to your home improvement store, purchased your parts there, and made the repairs and modifications yourself. Given the above, why would you complain about the price that you freely agreed to pay?"
