City and County Overhead Doors

They were the only company to respond to my online request. He responded promptly and scheduled me for the next afternoon! He called to tell me he was on his way! The garage door was fixed and I feel it was a very fair price! I would hire again!

We started looking for a garage door repair on Angie's List. City and County responded almost immediately and let us know that our garage door would need to be replaced after seeing pictures and hearing what was wrong with it. Came out and replaced it, everything was great. We are giving them a D not because of the initial work they did but what happened after. Just two months later our door completely stopped working. Called City and County several times to see if they could come out and look at the door. We finally had someone come out and look at it and gave us a price, what needed to be fixed etc. He said that he would look for the part and then get back to us. Heard nothing for at least a week before I had to call them back. Said that he didn't have the part but ordered it and it would be 7-10 days before it came in but again heard nothing. Never contacted us again after that conversation. I had my father call about a month later and he spoke with City and County about our garage door. Still nothing. Here we are at the end of September and our door is STILL broken. Would definitely not use again for garage door replacement/repairs.

Owner Dave and helper Roland arrived on time and removed two 8 foot garage doors, reframed, and replaced with one 16 foot door repositioning my garage door opener. The new door was in place and lockable in one day, no chance of vandalism. They did a great job and charged a reasonable price. I highly recommend them for garage door work.

They were great! Garage door spring broke Sunday, they called me Sunday night, at my house 8am Monday morning and had it fixed within 20 minutes. Would definitely use them again.

I needed a repair quickly and they put me on their schedule right away for a Saturday service call. The work was completed quickly and professionally at a fair price. Dave was very courteous and professional.

He called to tell me he was approximately 30 minutes out which helped to ensure that I didn't spend my afternoon stuck at home. He replaced the spring within 30 minutes, oiled the system and checked to ensure that the system worked well.

He did excellent work at a very reasonable price. All communications were extremely prompt and professional. Could not have had an easier experience.

Outstanding service from City and County!! I broke my old garage door after 8:00 pm and went to Angie’s list to get quotes. Dave from City and County was the only company to call me that night. He gave me an estimate over the phone and turned out to be spot on. I had one more company call me in the morning and I set up appointments for both companies to come out. The first company came out and gave me a quote for a few hundred higher than my phone quote with City and County. I would say he was very professional. He gave me a quote then told me as he was leaving if I received a lower quote to call them back and they could match it - I prefer the best price the first time! I thought my door was beyond repair but to my surprise Dave gave me the option of fixing the door as well as replacement, I opted for the replacement.. He then fixed the broken door at no charge so I could get in and out of the garage In the mean time, that was unexpected and greatly appreciated!! Being 100% honest he was about 40 minutes late on replacement day but how can I gripe about that, we can’t control traffic! Thank you Dave, you’re an awesome guy and the garage door runs and looks fantastic!!!

Very courteous and accommodating. Fixed our overhead door so we could get out of the garage. We decided to replace both doors and he returned the next day with the new doors. Professional installation!

THE GARAGE DOOR WOULD NOT SHUT. HE WAS ABLE TO TROUBLESHOOT WITH ME OVER THE TELEPHONE. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS HIS PRIMARY CONCERN. HE WAS VERY PROMPT AND CAME OUT THE SAME DAY. HE SHIMMED OUT THE DOOR AND MOVED THE HINGES TO MAKE THEM FIT BETTER, AND READJUSTED THE WEIGHT OF THE DOOR. HE MADE SUGGESTIONS ON HOW I COULD CONSERVE HEAT AS WELL. I WOULD RECOMMEND.

THEY SENT TWO YOUNG GUYS WHO DIDN'T SEEM TO KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. MY HUSBAND WAS WATCHING THEM AS THEY WORKED. THEY GAVE US TWO OPTIONS. THEY SAID WE COULD REPLACE A PART FOR $170, OR REPLACE THE ENTIRE OPENER FOR $350. THEY ADVISED US TO REPLACE THE WHOLE THING, BECAUSE THEY SAID IT WAS AN OLDER UNIT AND OTHER THINGS MAY GO OUT ON IT. THEY WEREN'T EVEN GOING TO DO ANY SERVICING, LIKE OILING OR ANYTHING, UNTIL I ASKED. THEN HE DID SPRAY SOME WD-40. WE DECIDED TO WAIT TO HAVE THE WORK DONE. WE HAD A FRIEND TAKE A LOOK AT IT, BECAUSE WE DIDN'T FEEL RIGHT ABOUT WHAT THEY HAD TOLD US. HE TOOK A QUICK LOOK AT IT AND FOUND THAT IT WAS THE CIRCUIT BREAKER. HE SWITCHED IT ON, AND EVERYTHING WORKED PERFECTLY. THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH THE OPENER AT ALL. I WAS AMAZED BECAUSE THE WORKERS WHO CAME OUT DIDN'T DO ANYTHING AT ALL. THEY WERE HERE FOR 15 MINUTES, BUT THEY CHARGED US $65 FOR A SERVICE CALL. I'VE CALLED TO COMPLAIN, AND THEY HAVE NOT BEEN RESPONSIVE.
