Proceed with caution! Things started out fairly efficiently and then went downhill quickly. I had a small kitchen reno that shouldn't have taken more than a week to complete and 8 months later, it sat unfinished. There were some delays due to supply chain, however I would constantly have to chase to set up a time for the project to be worked on. Weeks would go by with no work done and when Tommie would come out, it was often at odd hours when he was rushed, performing sloppy work. I subsequently had to hire new people to complete the project (thanks, Angi!) who took over on wiring that had to be reworked, an outlet that was left non-functioning and was actually fixed by someone who took the time to repair it, and all of my tiling/drywall that was left incomplete by Tommie and his contractors. Furthermore, both my stove and countertop were broken during construction and I was never compensated for the cost to repair the counter and to buy a new stove which I ended up taking out of pocket. There may be bigger projects out there, but it is a fairly simple (decent) business practice to commit to working on something and to seeing it through to completion. What should have been an easy project left me living in a construction zone for over half a year.

Recessed lights are not centered to room

After spending nearly 5 hours in my home, Tommy De la Cruz, was not able to assemble the chandelier. He hanged it without the crystal and I paid him $250 for the work of taking down the old light fixture and installing the new one. A few hours after he left, the new chandelier is not turning on. Now, he is not responding my texts or calls. This is the most unprofessional worker I ever had to del with. I would not recommend to work with CJ Hamker Electric or Angi.

After looking for 3 years of living in Miami Tommy came up with an original idea of replacing an old 1982 drop ceiling. He reframed the entire ceiling added LED lighting and truly might be the only electrician in Miami that gets the job done. He’s reliable, fairly priced, and extremely knowledgeable in all areas of construction. His attention to detail and willingness to stay after hours was very admirable. Tommy’s hard work and dedication leads me to highly recommend him.

They responded literally minutes after I created the post which I liked. However the price was told to me after the work was done. During the diagnosis I had no idea how much anything would cost. At the end in slapped with a $225 invoice for changing an outlet & some work on my panel. Just seemed over priced. I asked twice before the work was done if he could give me an idea on cost. All I got was it shouldn’t cost too much at all. Wouldn’t hire again.
