"The customer's review is a gross misrepresentation - Not truthful. This has become a legal matter which will be worked out in court. We feel that we were not treated fairly at all. Customer was aware of delays as they were a result of the customer wanting to get several of their own quotes from contractors (which is fine) but this caused the delays in work progression that we had no control over. Customer offered to pay me substantially less what was due. We are in total compliance with our contract with customer."
"This project was done in a timely manner and the homeowners were kept aware of all phases and any delays that were created prior to the established start date. These clients changed the scope of work multiple times and we did our part to accommodate those changes. They had no complaints until the very end of the project and it was time to pay the final balance on the invoice. My project manager did meet with the clients and generated a final punch list which was completed and signed by the homeowners. They still did not provide the final payment. We as a company were caught off guard by their complaints and I feel it was an attempt to have their final invoice reduced in cost. We did our part & completed the project. After we completed the first punch list, the homeowners generated a second punch list that was irrelevant, but we completed the punch list anyway so that we could get paid. It took approximately two months for these clients to pay their invoices in full. We were very honest about aspects of the project that saved them money when we were under no obligation to do so. Our communication was clear and direct. This project simply turned into a situation where there was no pleasing the clients, and I did everything that I could to appease them. We extended them a discount, completed two punch lists and had a final walk through at which time the clients seemed happy and satisfied with our service. After the fact, they wanted us to return to the property to change the storm door glass to screen for them for the season change. We did not accommodate that due to the fact that our relationship was not amicable. Our ratings on Angie's List reflect the true way we do business and accommodate our clients. Simply put, there was no way of making these clients happy. Again, they had no complaints about the project until the end."
