After having previously had bad experiences with painting companies we were SO happy to have found CJ & Son Painting. They were so responsive, professional and just great people to work with, but mainly we were thrilled with the quality of the work. All companies seem to tell you all of the great prep and quality work they will do, but the follow through never comes close to the promises. With this company, they actually exceeded the promises they made. I saw all of the prep work, sanding and extensive caulking they did before starting to paint. 'Picasso' was the job leader and he could not have been nicer to work with. He actually offered to include additional work - without additional costs as he truly cares about how your house looks. CJ the owner was a consummate pro, taking care of the estimate and follow up. If you are looking for quality work, feel confident hiring CJ & Son Painting.

CJ and Sons is an incredible company. Start to finish I was incredibly impressed by CJ and his wife Courtney. First of all their work was impeccable with incredible attention to detail. The paint job just looks amazing. They did thorough prep work on our walls which hid any previous blemishes. I feel that the price was an incredible value. CJ and his wife were very easy to deal with (none of the typical contractor games where the contractor implies you're a bit of an idiot). They were responsive, punctual, and extremely professional. Overall they changed the entire look of our house and my wife and I are extremely pleased with their painting.

I had a very unusual schedule for my recent move and was looking for someone to do some last minute painting before I moved in (I called a week before the painting needed to start). The apartment is 1600 sq ft and I wanted pretty much every room painted. CJ was the only person I talked to who was willing to work with my weird schedule and fit me in last minute - all the big companies had specific rules about in person quotes that I could not accommodate. CJ was very helpful during the pre-painting walk through, looking at all the trim, ceilings and walls and pointing out areas I would never have noticed. He was also knowledgeable about color choices and had worked with many of my colors before, which helped me to pick a cohesive scheme. CJ and his wife did most of the painting themselves and were able to get everything done in 4 days, which still amazes me. They even worked around the movers on my move in day. I am so happy with the results, everything is very well done - I did not realize how bad the painting was before until I saw it done properly. It made me even more excited to move in to my place seeing it look so great! I would definitely recommend CJ & Son to other people and will definitely be using them in the future if I have other projects!

CJ offered a complimentary paint-job to someone who had a particularly challenging year, and I lost my dear friend, Mike, to suicide. So, CJ chose me to receive one room painted. He and his crew did a FANTASTIC job, and I love sitting in my family room more than any other room, now. He is professional, talented, neat, and fast. I highly recommend CJ and Son for any paint job you have---inside and out!

I just hired C J and Sons for an exterior paint job on my home. They are a family of generational painters. I hired them for the trim and windows only. The team did a beautiful job sprucing up my 100 yr old house. They were timely, and respectful of our property and surrounding landscape. They were extremely knowledgeable . Their prep work alone was amazing and thorough. They worked carefully and precisely, not to drip on the areas that they were not painting. I can not say enough about this painting team. CJ and his family worked hard to fit us in before our move-in date. They used top quality Benjamin Moore products and had an incredible attention to detail. They worked over night to make our deadline and they protected our trim and floors and kept the paint where it was intended to be. They are attentive to detail. I was really impressed with the detailed work where the walls meet the ceiling. They were on time, finished earlier than they said they would, cleaned up, moved the furniture and were priced reasonably. I recommend this team for any of your painting needs.

CJ and Courtney painted all interior rooms except one bedroom (to be done soon). Very professional, punctual, and totally helpful. Courtney also painted both bathroom cabinets. I have bedroom furniture that were used by both Grandsons. Needless to say a lot of wear and tear. When my daughter and baby Grandaughter moved back to Ann Arbor they helped me refurbish the bed, dresser and nightstand for a girl. It turned out amazing. Looks like I brought it home from the store. When they suggest the furniture paint they prefer I would pay the little extra. Totally worth it.

Great. CJ was very professional, prompt, responded right away. When he was delayed because a previous job ran over, he communicated beforehand, apologized and proposed alternate times, which worked fine. Work was done well, quickly, professionally. We tipped him extra.

C.J. did an outstanding job of painting our new home prior to our moving in. He was prompt and punctual and did exactly what we asked him to do. He completely masked the hardwood floors prior to painting, so they were completely free of drips when he was done. He made sure that we got the colors for the walls, trim and ceiling that we wanted, and made our home look beautiful. He even cleaned out our gutters at no extra charge, as he had a ladder and we were worried that they were clogged with leaves. I can recommend no one more highly to paint a house.

The short story: Very good company to deal with, very professional work, above and beyond my expectations. Hire them and smile. Longer Story: There were several areas which needed repairs due to cracking and settling at joints between ceiling and wall. They made these disappear. They listened closely to my concerns when reviewing/quoting the job. They were attentive to small details. They created a well constructed access door for my bathroom plumbing and integrated it into the wall nicely. They really wanted to make sure I was happy, and it showed in their work. Even after I payed them, they could have packed up and left, but they continued to fine tune areas further for a couple more hours because they saw additional areas that they felt could be even better (to their standards). Their standards are high. Hire them and smile.

The contractor/owner was very professional and detail oriented when bidding the job. I wanted to make sure a lot of small details were taken care of and he was very agreeable to the job I wanted done. He was extremely easy to work with in terms of my schedule and expectations. I thought his price was pretty darn reasonable considering the high ceilings. I see no reason to do any painting myself, with my arthritis, with this kind of service available. I will simply have this painter out on a yearly basis to rotate the painting, outside/inside, upstairs, downstairs and outbuildings. He was great about letting the dogs out when necessary and very trustworthy. He did a great job and did not leave splatters or drips behind (I am picky cause I have always done my own painting). Really a good experience!
