Bill and his crew arrived every day when they said they would. They worked steadily in the heat to put vinyl siding on the main house and vinyl shingles on the front of the house and the gables. Bill has been doing this for a long time and he is particular. He redid a couple sections that he didn't like how they looked. The shutters didn't come in with the rest of the order and they had to come back several weeks later to install the shutters. The results look really good.

It went as planned. Sheeting was replaced as well, completed in one day. The job was a complete roof and sheeting and then they gave me all new gutters.

I will start by saying that Rick and his crew are very professional and can only do as the company dictates. I initially gave them a fantastic review when they put a new porch on a house we purchased last year. Also needed a roof on the deck but Classic advised roofs are sub contracted out which was and still is an issue (very poor quality). The salesman showed us pictures of beautiful, creative decks which is the only reason we went with this company because what it cost us would have built us a new 2 car garage or a complete extra room addition to our home! The end result was a plain porch worth around $4500... they had to come back and support all the railings. They were not structurally safe or sound. The wood framing on the roof we were promised was non-existent and when we complained, they sent a middle man out to see what they could do to "satisfy our complaint". He advised they do NOT use wood framing and basically inferred we were the ones who were the problem. The salesman also told Classic he never showed us pictures of wood framed roofs or anything he advised we would receive. Classic wouldn't even offer to come back in 6 months to complete the deck by staining it. It is truly an incomplete, very plain deck with shoddy craftsmanship. We get comments from everyone how poorly it was done and how we got taken. Shame on us for trusting this company.. and shame on this company for their lack of honesty. We got taken for $35,000! A VERY hard lesson on our part.

"We try so very hard to make every customer as happy as possible. Until reading this review, we thought we had a very satisfied customer. He wrote us a raving review on Google 7 months ago. We are not sure what’s going on here, but we’ve reached to this member to address his issues. Just a few facts first though: 1 - We don’t stain decks and it was not included in our contract to come back 6 months later 2 - We have every customer sign an acknowledgment form explaining all wood products will need stain or Thompson’s water seal treatment within the the first 6 months, then regular treatments after that. 3 - As far as the hand rail issues, before the job was done the customer had some concerns with how the hand rail was installed. We resolved that for him 7 months ago. 4 - It was specified in our contract that the roof would be a flat pan roof system with a built in gutter system. They were not happy with the look of the aluminum header beam, so we went back out and added a wood header beam for aesthetic purposes. Again, seemed happy with the end result 7 months ago, hence the glowing review. 5 - They signed a completion certificate when the work was completed which states all the work in the contract was complete. They are fully covered under our warranty and we stand ready to honor our commitment. Here is the review they wrote on Google 7 months ago: “The crew from Classic Exteriors built us a beautiful deck for our new home that we love! This crew was simply amazing, true perfectionists. The work done was professional and finished in less than two days, including a beautiful ramp. No hidden surprises and they left our outside clean at the end of the job. They went above and beyond by cleaning up the flower bed around it (yes, they pulled weeds!)... even went out of their way to assist with furniture delivering the first day by helping to get it inside, set it up, and hauled away the old stuff. You just can't find quality customer service like that anywhere these days. We're so thankful to have gotten this crew. We will HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. It's crews like this that keeps a business like Classic Exteriors going. Thanks guys!”"

There is water runny out from behind the siding ! Classic Exteriors would not do anything about it!! They wanted paid before the job was even done and with water running out from behind the siding?? I had to call a professional! Classic Exteriors will get the report soon!! They showed up with the wrong materials! On day 1 we tied to stop the job!! They tried to get us to pay before the job was done!!! The workmen ship is terrible!! We recommend our neighbors to them before our job started! They just finished that house !! They ordered the same color and there’s is 6”! They ordered 4”! The orders were switched! They tried to get me to pay before I found out watch they did!! Try tried to cover it up and just put the wrong size siding on the houses!!!

"Writing a review is supposed to be a way for the consumer to report how a company performed, but sometimes its used as a tool to attempt to bully the company into giving disproportionate discounts, or in this case, dropping a lawsuit. We are currently in a lawsuit with this member for non-payment. She owes $14,000. We had a payment plan in place for her which she initially agreed to but she has since elected not to use it. This professional she had look at the job is the siding manufacturer who has reported back that we did in fact install this siding job exactly per manufacturer specifications. We tried so hard to make her happy. We went out and met with her and her husband to do punch out list items, as regards to caulking touch ups, which we did. We offered to trim out her windows for free which were not included in the contract. We even offered to deduct $8000 off the job (which she refused) even though there was no reason to do so. She wants a $16,000 siding job for $2000 which completely unreasonable so we got our attorney involved. Now in retribution, she has decided to conduct a smear campaign by writing a complaint with the BBB and negative reviews like this one and we’re sure there are more to come. We unfortunately are unable to upload pictures in the company response but would be happy to provide before and after pictures to anyone who like to see them as well as answer any questions about this situation in detail with documented proof. We just won the 2019 Angie’s List Super Service award for the 3rd year in a row. We do everything in our power to take care of our customers."

Overall we I thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Classic Exteriors. Rick was fantastic and friendly. He came to our home and told us a vision he had, while asking us for opinions and what we would like as well. The work took a bit longer than expected, but that’s normal when it comes to construction and remodeling. Rick was very easy to contact and always had a solution. The only thing that I wish would have been better would have been the communication with the construction workers. There was a huge crack in our foundation that was found after taking the walls down and the workers continued with putting up studs for new walls. I had to ask about it and then call Rick to discuss the crack for it to be taken care of. We had to put steel beams in and our foundation could collapsed and we would have had no idea because they did not mention to me that it was a problem. As soon as I called Rick though, he immediately took care of the situation and got us our steel beams, then finished the basement. It looks amazing and we love spending time down there! I LOVE my new kitchen!! Rick Watts and the entire crew at Custom Exteriors and Custom Interiors are the best! They did an excellent job on my kitchen, were efficient and courteous, and were very responsive to my questions and concerns. Their office staff (shout out to Brigette) are just as great! I highly recommend them for any interior work you may have. I definitely will use them again!!

From our first meeting with John Gianangeli, things went very smoothly. John was very knowledgeable in roofing materials, styles, types of features, and most importantly what procedures our installation would entail. Then we could see a complete picture of the scope we were signing up for. You handled new plywood, water and ice protection, dimensional shingles, ridge vents, and removal of asbestos shingles. Also, we have to say that the crew we had, supervised by Abraham, did an excellent job! They were so professional and conscientious with their work and it showed in the results. Our neighbors gave us so many compliments on the new roof. People stopped us while we walked our dogs to comment on the new roof. The worker (Russel) arrived 2 days after the quote was received and took about 4 days to complete the job. The quality of work was excellent. He was even able to replace the boards without damaging the aluminum trim around the windows and saved me a few hundred dollars.

Our 30-year-old patio door had bad bearings and was leaking, so we called Classic Exteriors. The sales rep, Joel, showed up on time and patiently explained our options. He allowed my wife and me time to choose the right door for us and did not try to pressure us. We made our selection and scheduled an appointment about a month out (every contractor is busy in Ohio in summer). Russell, the installer, showed up on time and was polite and professional. Upon removing the old door, he found quite a bit of rotten wood where the old door had leaked rainwater, and discovered that the old door had been improperly supported at the bottom when the house was built. I had some pressure-treated 2x6 lumber on hand from a DIY deck-repair job I was doing, and Russell cut a few pieces of that to shore up the rotten sections and provide the support the original homebuilder omitted. Russell then did a fine job finishing the door installation. The door is beautiful and the room is noticeably quieter, cooler (in summer) and less drafty. Classic Exteriors wasn't my cheapest option, but I am very happy with their work and professionalism and am convinced I got my money's worth, especially when you consider Russell's repair of the wood framing under the door. Would definitely go with them again.

I had given them an f review for the way my original estimate was handled. Then when the owner found out what happened he came to my house and assured me that's not how they do business. so I let them have the job. They ended up doing a very good high quality job at a fair price. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

The project went great! Steven did an excellent (very meticulous) job in all demolition, replacement, painting, and finishing. He kept me informed on all the new developments as he began to tear open/down some of the walls which had rotten wood in them. He kept the work site clean of excess debris and did a thorough job of cleaning up at the end of each work day. Dealing with Classic Exteriors was pleasant and professional and I would highly recommend them to any friends or family.

I was going through financial hardship, but really needed my front stairs replaced. I explained my situation, what I could afford, and what I would need. I originally planned on replacing the cement stairs, but they worked very well with my budget and came up with an alternate plan that I could afford and was happy with - a small deck over the existing concrete. The project was completed in a timely manner and the end result was even better looking than I envisioned. What an improvement! I would use them again for another project. Pics are dark, sorry. My wife and I have always been do-it-yourselfers, and very particular, but as time has passed we have become inclined to hire for some projects. Front entrance doors have never been on our do-it-yourself list but being particular and do-it-yourselfers we check as close as possible for others that can do the job, and about the products and materials they use. For a project this year of changing our weather front entrance door we selected Classic Exteriors. We haven’t regretted the choice. The sales team was professional, knowledgeable about the company and products used, and courteous. The new door arrived on schedule, and the installers, Jim Smith and Tony, arrived promptly in the morning, worked without pause, and had the job done and all cleaned up in short order. We are vary pleased with our new front entrance door, the product, and appearance. Thanks to Classic Exteriors for a all-around job well done. Recommended

Contracted Timberland architectural shingle roof. Work was performed as promised. Job was performed professionally, job was complete and thorough. Roof looks nice and improves the appearance of my house. I was surprised at how fast they could come out to do it and was somewhat unprepared to have the roof done on a freezing winter day, but it seems to be ok. No additional steps were taken to seal the roof shingle tabs individually with silicone due to the freezing weather, but was promised that the roof would seal in a couple of weeks. Nice clean up around the outside of house after the work was done.
