Clean Start Maid Service

Excellent. When I called Linda she was very helpful describing what she could do for me, and addressed all my questions and concerns. She quoted me a fair price for initial cleaning, along with a lower price for regular on-going service. We agreed on a day and time on that first phone call. Linda arrived on time and introduced her daughter Angela who would be working with her. We walked through the house together to point out specific areas of concern to me. Then the two of them jumped right in and got to work. They worked hard and were very thorough, moving things to get behind or under furniture, dusting high up above doors and cleaning off items on my counters. They finished ahead of their estimated 3 hours and packed up promptly. The whole place looks and feels great. No grit on my bare feet walking on the floors, sparkling clean window panels at my doorways, scrubbed and shining bathroom and kitchen. Count me a very happy customer. Thanks Linda and Angela.

Linda and Ray responded on very short notice to clean our 2,000 sq. ft. day spa following flooding.   They moved furniture, cleaned wood and tile floors, and wiped baseboards.  Floors were covered with a layer of dirt after the water drained from the building.  Linda and Ray knew exactly what to do to thoroughly clean the floors and restore to their pre flooding condition. They didn't need direction and were never idle.  Our customers and the landlord were amazed at how good the floors looked.  I highly recommend Linda for any cleaning projects <br />

Linda and her daughter arrived as scheduled.  They were friendly and respectful to me and efficient and fast-moving in their tasks.  They did more than I ever dreamed anyone could do in the amount of time they spent.  The cleaning job was incredibly thorough.  It transformed the house and lifted my spirits to see everything so clean and orderly.  I have tried using another cleaning service through Angie's that had a coupon.  The other service was okay, but this service was above and beyond.  I couldn't ask Linda and her daughter fast enough if they could come back again.  I will use them regularly and feel very comfortable with them in my home and know they will probably take better care of things than I would myself!  It was worth joining Angie's just to discover this service. <br /> <br />

Linda and her daughter (? I think) have been providing regular housecleaning for us since mid-2013.  They are flexible when we need to move service dates, and we've worked with them when their schedule needed us to shift.  They had been friendly and professional, and generally do a good job.  We originally had them out twice a month, and had dropped back to monthly. <br /> However, we are discontinuing their service. The regular monthly cleaning had been $108 - but this last time, they informed us that the price was now $162.18 - an increase of 50%.  they also told us this *after* the work had been done.  We paid it - but I was very unhappy with such a steep price hike, so suddenly, with no prior warning.  It's now a bit hard for us to afford them, so we have to drop their service.  I also think it was very unprofessional to let us know the cost was going up by half again, after they'd already done the work - the professional thing would have been to notify us in advance - at the very least, in advance on the day of the scheduled work, but a day or so in advance would have been better. <br />

Linda is wonderful, she has come to clean alone and with her husband, Ray. Every visit has been satisfactory and on her last visit, she thoroughly dusted all the knick knacks in my kitchen that she had to stand on a chair to get too. She is always pleasant and comes on Saturdays to accommodate my family and larger dogs. The house is left fresh and clean. We look forward to her monthly visits. You rock, Linda! <br />

Linda cleaned my house for over a year the one day just stopped coming.  In the beginning it was her and her daughter but sometimes she brought a sister or her husband, but she always brought someone to help her.  About 6 months before she stopped coming altogether, she started coming alone.  She was in and out in the same amount of time as she was when she had a helper, so as you can imagine, quite a few corners were cut.  I have no idea what happened with her, and my house and I miss her as she did great work prior to the last 4 or 6 months, but I did not appreciate the unprofessional action of just not coming anymore with no heads up or explanation. <br />

I like that they were very thorough. They were timely and detailed. They did a great job. Their pricing was very fair.

They did a fairly good job. I wanted to use them again.  I asked for them to call to set up ongoing service, but I never heard from them again. However, they seemed eager to please, which I did appreciate.

She gets an A++++ for her work! We have had a number of people do housecleaning for us over the years, but she and the people who work for her and with her do the most thorough and professional job we have ever used- not only in San Antonio but anywhere we have lived. They do it consistently every time. They do it at extremely competitive rates, too.

Linda has been cleaning my house for 6 months now every 2 weeks.  I feel she is keeping my house the cleanest it's ever been.  She tackles all the hardest jobs like ceiling fans and baseboards without me ever asking.  She is on auto-pilot at my house and I've never been happier. <br />

Overall cleaning was thorough and the price was well worth the services provided. <br />

Linda and her crew are great to work with. They are very flexible when it comes to the exact time and date of our appointments, always being able to accommodate any last-minute changes to our schedule. They do a great job of cleaning and always leave our place looking great! <br />

They cleaned my dad's house.  He's getting up in age, and hasn't been keeping up with home cleaning as well as he used to.  They did a wonderful job, with much attention to detail.  Visiting my dad's home over the Thanksgiving holiday shortly after they cleaned, it was obvious that they did a wonderful job.  The house sparkled! <br />

Used this service twice.  First time was very impressive,  second time, <br /> the cleaning job was very rushed, and looked like it.  Was really <br /> disappointed.  Linda very professional, husband a bit on the grumpy <br /> side,  She did offer to come back at a reduced price, if she had had a <br /> different helper I might have accepted. <br />

Another cleaner did an awful job just prior to move in.  Clean Start did a great job and made up for the other company's woeful attempt at cleaning. <br />

I contacted the service and the owner called me back right away and was very pleasant then and throughout our interactions. We set at date and time for her to come over and she gave me an approximate cost of the services. On the day of the cleaning we exchanged several call about directions. When she didn't arrive within  30 mins of the appointment time I called and she said she was running late but would be there in about 30 more minutes. She came approximately and hour and a half late. She brought two other people with her and they worked for about 2 hours. She called me in when they were finished and showed me that a ginger jar I had on a wall sconce had been knocked off when the sconce tilted during dusting and fell and broke my piggy bank on the floor underneath it. I did not ask her to reimburse me for the expense and she did not offer any sort of remediation. They did a very good job on the house. The estimate was approximately $40 less than the actual cost ended up being. <br />

I was looking for every other week housecleaning.  Linda, her husband, and daughter came and did an excellent job of cleaning my house.  I felt the initial cost was a little steep, but the followup cleaning sessions prices were cut in half.  I was really impressed with the way my wood floors looked.  They did a very thorough first time cleaning.  I'm now using them every other week and am pleased at the quality of work they do.

Scheduled this service on Saturday for a Monday start. A two person team made up of a brother and sister arrived promptly in the early morning. Cleaning was thorough, ending just a little over 5 hours. They were both very polite and friendly, often asking if we were satisfied with the work performed. They brought their own cleaning supplies as well. <br /> <br />The service costs $50 per hour ($25 per person).
