Clear Choice Home Inspections

Nice guy, but he didn't call out a lot of items that were not in good condition that I feel other companies may have. I didn't expect him to catch everything, however there were far too many missed items that I think he should caught.

The price was high, but they offered exactly what we needed. After we moved into the home, that is when I noticed how horrible the inspection was. We had our concerns about several windows in the home and asked for his review of the windows prior to inspection - we have found 4 windows with clearly blown seals. The report says NO VISUAL ISSUES. The duct work in the crawl space was even worse. He had actually took pictures of the damaged piping and commented that the duct work looked very good - the piping torn in half and blowing air into the crawl space!!. After that, I thought I better give everything a closer look while I was down there. The next 2 ducts were FULL OF WATER, clearly evidenced to the touch, and there was no air moving thru these pipes into the house - all clear to the eyes with a simple use of a flashlight and photographed by the inspector - and still the comments on the inspection report was that the crawl space had no visual issues!!! The roof was commented as being in good condition but he missed the broken gutter on the back of the house - the lack of water spout allowing for the water to flow onto the lower roof. The service we paid for was the inspection and report of this home - the report did not reflect the true status of these systems in the home. This causes us to doubt the truth of the inspection report in its entirety. We believe that we are due a refund and would not hire this business again.

John was extremely professional and was at the home before I even got there! He explained the process and showed us the camera footage of the hose in the sewage drain. He also provided a written report to provide to the home builders and for my record. I would hire him again.
