Clemens Hardwood Flooring

When we bought our house in 2015 we had another hardwood contractor refinish our floors in our 85 year old house. That contractor did a very poor job. I was hesitant at hiring another contractor, but given the rating Chris had achieved on Angie’s List I decided to give him a chance. Chris quickly responded to my request and visited our house. His knowledge and honesty impressed me and his pricing was good. Chris was very professional and displayed with great work ethic, arriving every day as planned, keeping dust and debris under control and cleaned up each day. He did an outstanding job installing new solid oak (not from China) flooring in our living room, dining room, three bedrooms, and office and hallways, fixing all the squeaks along the way. He also installed vinyl tile flooring in our kitchen, which included new subflooring. Chris removed our existing old flooring/subfloor and had it removed. We definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking to have new floors installed.

Chris called me to set an appointment. We met and he is very professional. He answered my concerns about my floor. He messured and gave me a written estimate later that afternoon. We agreed to a date that we both could start the hardwood flooring. the work has been completed and he id a great job, he completed in 3 days. Very clean.

Mr. Clemens came to the house to review the work that needed to be done and sent me an fair and reasonable estimate early the next day. We contracted Chris and set a date for the work to be completed over two days (the flooring spans the entire first floor of our home). Chris showed up at the scheduled time and immediately went to work correcting our issue. With few excess flooring strips available, Chris needed to be careful and precise while tearing up the floor so the material could be re-used (discontinued style). After resetting the floor in the agreed to time frame, the floor looked better than it did after the original install. Chris was courteous, friendly, reliable and honest. His work ethic is solid and the work performed was done in a clean and timely manner (with little to no inconvenience to my wife who works from home). When the flooring work was complete, Chris cleaned and vacuumed the work site so that all that was left was for me to move the furniture back into place after the glue set. I would hire Chris again with no hesitation for future flooring needs. He said what he was going to do then did it on time and at price. Great experience and great results.

Chris did an excellent job of locating the problem areas and creating a solution, which involved creativity and persistence to access those areas. He noticed a couple of other issues which he corrected while there. He was courteous, helpful and his top-notch work was affordable.

Chris Clemmons installed a beautiful hardwood floor, approximately 200 square feet. Chris was punctual, professional and his price was fair. He was very careful and did a great job cleaning up. I couldn't be happier with the process and the final product. I would strongly recommend Chris and would definitely use him again for future projects.

Chris demoed the existing floors and packaged them up neatly for disposal via our trash company. A good amount of time was spent making sure the floors were properly prepped prior to installing the hardwood (fixing squeaks, securing a few lose bottom plates). The installation of the hardwood flooring was completed to our expectations. Since we chose Tigerwood we wanted to exclude some of the really dark stripped boards. Chris did an excellent job of deciding which boards we would not want to use.

The squawk, squawk, squawking (louder than squeaking) floors in our TV room and the hallway leading to it were interfering with hearing the TV and driving me crazy. The hardwood floors in our 65-year-old house are lovely but there's no access to the subfloors from below, so we were unsure whether the problem could be resolved without damaging or even replacing the hardwood flooring. Chris Clemens located the joists from above, painstakingly removed the hardwood planks over them, reattached the subfloor, and then replaced the planks. The floor still looks beautiful and the squeaks are gone!

You can set your watch on Chris' promptness each and every morning. Chris worked non-stopped until the project was completed. We are 100 percent satisfied with the entire process and ended up with a perfectly installed beautiful floor.

When Chris started to install the new floating flooring,he discovered the pieces didn't snap together and lay flat like they were suppose to. This was my fault.I'd ordered and picked up the flooring. Chris remained calm, and stayed here until I'd called Home Depot and explained the issue.  They were very nice about exchanging the flooring.  Chris loaded the flooring back into my van,true gentleman! I was upset for both of us,but we rescheduled ,thanks to Chris I have my new flooring!!! Exactly on time,real worker,cleaned up everything before he left,best of all a very fair price. Please call him for a free estimate,you won't be sorry; I wasn't.

Chris is organized and offered his advice and expertise.  He recommended some products but had us look for wood products on our own as well.  Once he knew exactly what we were looking for he guided us through the selection process.  Chris then set up a timeline for clearing out each area/room so that installation could be continuous and allowed us to use the second floor as he was working.  There was a break at one point but it was needed to redistribute items in the rooms.  When he removed the carpet in one room he found a weakness in sub-floor which he fixed.  At the end we had exactly what we were looking for.  The floors look beautiful.
