This big deal was a total disappointment to me and I was going to just try to forget it ever happened. I started off badly by not scheduling the service right away. Unfortunately due to extreme amounts of rain the weather did not turn good enough for yard work till the spring so I waited till there was a glimmer of good weather to try to get the work scheduled. However, when I tried to contact Cloudy Sky to schedule service the following spring by phone (within the 6 months following purchase of the big deal) I never got a return call. I left messages three weeks in a row. On the fourth call I actually spoke with somebody who answered, I assumed the wife of the owner, who promised I would get a call back the next day, which did not happen. I then followed up a week later with an e-mail and got a fairly quick reply. The e-mail reply said he had never gotten any messages from me, which did not sit well right to start with since I knew I had left messages and also talked with somebody there. The phone was always answered with the name of the company so I am certain I had the correct number. Unfortunately by the time we connected, he was "too busy to work on my yard that summer". By early April he apparently was strictly in yard maintenance mode and could only provide service an hour at a time, which did not really help me since my problem was a major yard clean up requirement. He said he would have his crew stop by and I assumed that they would spend some time, but that was when I found that they could only spend an hour at a time. His crew came by a couple of times in the summer of 2014 for an hour at a time and they did quite a lot of working a short time, once they knew what I wanted to have done. But then I didn't hear back for several weeks. We finally worked out what I thought was a plan to complete the work in the spring of 2015. The owner and a couple of his workers came to the yard and I was able to discuss with him what I wanted to have done and he seemed amenable. They got a large part of the project ripped up and showed up a couple of days later to haul away the yard waste. Unfortunately when they came to "finish up" he apparently just meant they would haul away the yard waste and not actually complete the work we had discussed. I have not heard anything further from him sense and I frankly have run out of energy trying to work with him. He seems like a very nice guy and I might consider using Cloudy Sky if I had a yard where weekly service would be appropriate. But for a major yard cleanup project I would not count on them to be able to complete the work.
I was not happy with them. They were not spending a whole lot of time here probably because they weren't asking so much money. They should have asked more money so they could do the job properly. My problem was that they didn't spend enough time here. He would send a two-men crew out. Sometimes, they would stay for 45 minutes and sometimes, they would stay for 20 minutes.

"The reason being is we could only do her perimeter of the property. They never put their dogs inside and they bit my guys twice. we could never get into the fence to do all the work. Even though we saw people inside and knew we were there, their dogs still stayed outside barking at us. That was beyond our control."

I have used them twice after having had a good first experience. The second time they were also very helpful unloading and spreading mulch from my pickup truck. It was a sweaty job and they were great.

The service went okay. They came out and cleared stuff for the time I had purchased and then left. They were not overly productive and I felt like they did not do much. I hoped for the amount I paid for the deal I would have gotten more work done. I had hired them before and the owner came out with the crew. I felt like the first time I used them the service went much better and they even tidied up my neighbor’s yard free of charge. That is why I decided to hire them again, but they just did not do as well the second time around. I was not home while they did the service. I had no problem scheduling the deal and they showed up right on time.

The yard work is great. But communications with Cloudy Sky are a little iffy and a lot slow.
I liked the speed of the team that came out. They really maximized the time they were here with the crew. Good guys, friendly, A's all the way around.

They're on a regular and monthly basis now. They're here and they're reliable. They're a nice group of young guys. I like them. I met the owner too. He's personable and very professional. He was out here at one point.

We had Cloudy Sky for over a year at our private residence. During this time we repeatedly tried to get a maintenance plan for our yard, make specific requests, and get quotes and/or proposals for additional services... all without success. The quality of yard care decreased so significantly that we eventually terminated their service. Due to the very poor quality of care, total lack of communication, and complete disinterest in customer satisfaction, I would not recommend Cloudy Sky.

"That is funny, they sure loved us when they were getting free service. Yea they left the country asked us to continue service and did not pay us for many many months. They always came out and told my guys that things looked great. Thats when we decided to stop service for them because of non payment he became upset and it went down hill from there. This comes even after my guys scared off robbers at there house and also waited around for over an hour to leave police statements while they were out of the country. I would recommend no contractors do work for this gentleman, unless you like to work for free."

Their initial cleanup was great so I hired them to do some additional work and I had to end up firing them. I hired them for regular mowing and landscaping for $206/month and that was to come out every other week for 2 hours. They made promises to build up my garden beds and other landscaping. They ended up not doing any real landscaping. I tried getting touch with the manager because $206/month was too expensive for just mowing. He was very difficult to get in touch with and only contacted me after I left a voice mail indicating that I would not be using them anymore.

It was good. They trimmed trees, did some edging, and cleaned out some blackberry vines from the back. 3-4 guys came out. The only thing was that the dispatcher had written my address down wrongly, but they called when they couldn't locate my address.

Everything as far as the landscaping was ok, however the gate was build improperly and they took longer than needed. When I tried to contact him to get some money back for the job that was done, he said he was absolutely not giving any money back for the gate. He said that he didn't do anything wrong & the gate was fine. He said the working conditions of building the gate were all wrong and that he was working on a 45 degree angle. This was not true. They also did not take the junk away.
Response from Cloudy Sky Landscaping
"This was a timed coupon this gentleman bought, when we got through with every single one of his projects that he wanted done, and done properly he decides at the last minute with only 2.5 hours left on the coupon that he wants a huge gate built. I tried to explain to him that would be extremely hard to do in that time frame and he did not care, he insisted that it got done. Than I explained that the working conditions were horrible, there was a 4 foot sidewalk than it dropped down a steep hill that we had to work on. The other problem was that this was a labor coupon and material was not included so we had to wait for him to keep running to the hardware store for parts. We did everything this gentleman wanted done and than some. You cant please everyone."

These folks are terrific! They get more done in the time spent here than we could ever do in the same amount of time or more. They are constantly moving when they are here. They know plants; they know weeds; they know how to prune so you don't just get a ball shape as you see in so many yards. They will use power or hand tools for pruning, depending on what you want the shrub to look like. While the crew has not been the same over the past three weeks (we just started this service), each one knew what the preceding one had done and where to start the next area of cleaning. And the quality of work has been consistent no matter who comes. The company is willing to work with you for what you need; they do not insist on a cookie cutter service. Thus, since we already had a good yard man to mow and edge every week, Aaron did not insist in including that service as part of Cloudy Sky's work (although that is normally part of what they offer, as I understand it). The price I listed is for four weeks of work and includes the dump fee, etc. The quality and quantity of work the crews get done each week makes the money extremely well spent. If you have a large yard that's hard to keep up with or if you're aging (like we are) and don't want to do it all anymore, or if you'd rather spend your time doing something other than the ordinary upkeep of lawn and yard, give these guys a call. You'll be glad you did.

Well the last time they came was April 28th, they didn't show up on the 12th or the 26th.
I have called to complain and received no return call.
The last time they came they were here a total of 10 minutes, 7 of which they were working.
Terrible service.
Poor quality, inconsistent edging
They did the absolute minimum for $60 a month.
"Well, we provided great service for you up till the end, and that was due to the fact that your credit card kept coming back and denied. If you cant pay than we can not perform service. I guess that is our fault?"

Spoke with Mckinzie back in April to schedule a spring clean up the first weekend of May. My house was going to be listed on the market and she said no problem. I arrived at the house two days after it was scheduled and nothing was done. The lawn was very overgrown, but they did charge my credit card.

I called the office to touch base and no one answered. I left a voicemail. No one called back. I waited three days and then called again. No response back. I sent two emails directly to their business email. No response. A week later, I sent a message again and the owner wrote stating they were only doing commercial landscaping. No resolution to at least stay good to their word and do the landscaping job like they said they would, or no offer of a refund (from the owner).

I will say that my account was not delinquent, but paid in full and even on auto bill pay. So, this wasn't a discrepancy of non-payment.

They are also not located in West Seattle as it was originally advertised. They are located in Coventry.

Response from Cloudy Sky Landscaping
"This is ridiculous, our company made a decision last month that we could no longer do maintenance for residents, and we sent letters to all of you explaining so. You were charged for the month of April, and the end of April 3.5 weeks ago was our last visit as described in the letter, you were never charged for work not done so lets get that clear right now."

A so so experience that ended poorly. They did not perform any work on a scheduled date and went ahead and billed me for it . I was told by the office administrator, Mckinzie that they don't credit accounts for "no shows". Really? I explained to her that I had an email from the owner stating that they would credit my account for the no show. Her response was that she had seen nor been informed of this email. She indicated that she would talk to the owner. My understanding is that I am owed a refund.
They stopped performing scheduled work at my residence and when they did not show up I gave them a call. I spoke with Mckinzie who shared with me the fact that Cloudy Skys no longer performs residential work. Their focus is now strictly on commercial clients. Mckinzie did leave a voice mail message on my cell phone (earlier in the week) that i missed. In hindsight, I should have terminated doing business with them and not been so patient.
For over a year Cloudy Skys performed weekly and or bi-weekly service (depending on time of year) for our residence. This service including mowing and edging, which were done well, however all other tasks were either not performed or only done after making a specific request.
Response from Cloudy Sky Landscaping
"Oh client, if there was ever a missed date of service you were not charged extra, what we do is charge by the service, so our way of make a missed date is to push your billing out till the next visit, I hope that makes sense. Also is you want people to have a good business relationship with you you should try not being so rude all the time with the ladies in the office. Like the saying goes, you can catch more bees with honey. Believe it or not companies do have the right to be picky as well with clients as they do with us."

When the Cloudy Sky team would show up they did a great job. However, from time to time they would not show up at all. I'd have to contact the owners multiple times to correct the situation through calls and e-mails. The final straw for me was when they recently sent me a download of their quickbooks account and asked me to go back to 2012 and provide check numbers for the payments I've made. They also demanded payments for the months they did not show up and I had to re-forward for all those mails back and forth from each of the "no show" episodes. Ultimately it was just too frustrating to work with them.
