Charles arrived (4/25/2015) to take my deposit of 10% and have not seen him since. There are many consumers that have open complaints with the "Department of Consumer Affairs, BBB, and Yelp" concerning this company. Please do your research with these agencies before hiring any company, you will be happy that you did.

Hired Stone and Patio Professionals after a thorough presentation, with proof of all insurance and all certifications. We decided to get pavers instead of concrete and are positively thrilled with the outcome. They started the project within 7 days of signing the contract. They worked every day, weather permitting, with a professional crew showing up every morning before 8 am. Final product is absolutely beyond our expectations. Would highly recommend to anyone who asked.

The service from Stone and Patio Pros was excellent! I couldn't be happier with the outcome of my patio. The price was extremely affordable and customer service was second-to-none. Charles was very professional, respectful, and went above and beyond to give me the backyard space I've always wanted.

I would highly recommend Stone and Patio Pros to my friends and family!

They made an error on where to put the platform where you first walk out/landing directly leveled with the house. They put it 5 and a half inches up. I am in a wheel chair and that doesn't work well. Apparently, that is the way they are doing now. It surprised me. The other problem was that they were too scallop on the edges and they made me procrastinate. I was very unhappy. They had to come out and they did so without hesitation. They did everything that had to be done beautifully in terrible weather. Because they made an error, they also put down some square feet of top soil on the areas of the lawn that were a little low. They basically leveled it out. They didn't have to do that by any means. Because I am in a wheelchair, I wanted to a walkway around the entire outside of the house. I would use them for that. They were really professional and did quality work. They were absolutely very sorry for error and the inconvenience. Someone who does recognize that they made an error and undoes it, and does it correctly, is worth so much. They are invaluable. That is what they did demonstrate. We have other evaluations and their cost was within the range.

There are 4 repairs that need to be repaired. We have called and left messages with Kris March (works in office) and each time she said she would tell Charles Szarawarski and get back with updates. On 11/15/2015 I called the office again and asked Kris if she received my letter and copies of what was needed she said no and would check with Charles - Charles had the letter and pictures and Kris said he was on his way over to our house. After reviewing Charles said that it would be done before Thanks Giving. 11/23/2015 I called the office for an
update the phone was no longer in service.
The contact was signed 9/06/2014 completed June 2015. We are totally disappointed in the lack of customer service received from this company and will never recommend there services.

Firstly the salesperson Mike said he will check on the job periodically but only showed up on the initial start day, never saw him again. Secondly he said the workers would be able to move cobble stone at end of driveway but they were unable to. Next the workers broke a light above garage during the day while they were working and left the glass on the driveway. When we called about the light, they basically denied it and said it must have been us. We were just looking for acknowledgement of their wrong doing but they refused to admit or reimburse the damage. We have little children, it was very dangerous to just leave the broken glass on the driveway. Thirdly, the owner Charles sent a neighbor to pick up the balance due, didn't care enough to see the job his workers performed or what we thought. Unfortunately my wife had paid as I was unavailable to see the final work before funds were released. That would be our fault for paying for such an unprofessional job. But you would think the company stands by it's product and would fix the issues they left. The bottom of driveway was never secured and the pavers are moving all over the place, Various parts of driveway are uneven and pavers are moving. They continually would accept the call and tell us they will get there and take a look but they never do. They came once and flipped over a couple of pavers but didn't fix the real problems. They actually said that they are real busy and will see when they can get to us. Can you believe a professional company after taking your money will tell you to take a hike cause I'm getting more money from other unsuspecting clients. The pavers at the bottom of driveway have discolored and look horrible. We actually had other contractors over for other projects and every single one of them could not believe the job they did and criticized the work. They could not believe that a company that stands by their product would leave it in that condition for others to see. This is one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever dealt with. If you value your home and your hard earned cash, please do not trust this company to do the right thing or enhance your property. I can not allow this company to take advantage of me or anyone else, I will continue to write my reviews here and other venues to try an alert as many people to stay away from getting into a situation they will regret by choosing this company.
First of all, Scott is awesome. Very personable and knows his product well. I gave all "A's" except in the area of punctuality. The job didn't start on time and there were some delays. Our old concrete got torn up and we were stuck with no walkway and having to traverse mud and debris for a few days. To be fair, weather played a big factor. I just think scheduling could have gone a little better. However, whenever I expressed concerns, Scott was in touch with me working things out. Very professional. The pavers look great. The drain works magnificently. My only advice to anyone thinking about getting masonry work done, try to plan it around a part of the year when there's mostly good weather. Rain definitely causes delays. I'd go with this company again!
The project was scheduled to start 10/20/2014. I called the Rep I signed my contract with around 3pm that day because I hadn't heard anything from anyone up to that point. I left him (Gordon) a message but did not receive a call back from him. The next day my wife received a call from an office manager. She told my wife that because of rain, our project would have to be postponed until the week of Nov. 2nd. Someone would be in contact with us to give a day and start up time, we were told. I didn't hear back from anyone that week so I called the following Monday 11/10/2014. Long story short, I was promised that work would begin that Friday 11/14/2014. They came around 1pm and from that point on, my experience with Stone And Patio Professionals was terrific. The patio was done, as promised, in two days. It came out great. The installers were very professional in their work as well as being courteous. Cleanup was great. If i had to pick one thing that I'd would suggest they worked on, It would be their responsiveness. Other than that, I my wife and I were quite satisfied.
The contract was signed for work to start at the end of April. Work was not completed until the end of July. After completion issues were immediately noted: Wrong color edging used in a few spaces, lack of enough sand filler, and worst of all a section of patio against the house is not sloped properly creating a major draining issue.
The company could care less about completing the project on time and making the repairs to the job, which is in the contract. Been 2.5 months since job completion and reapirs are still not done with no comitted completion date.
The customer service along the way has been terrible. Every week there was a call that the project would start next week and it never did. Now that I am unsatisfied with the job and want to have it repaired they won't even return calls or update on timing.
Very poor experience overall.

I signed a contract on 8/18/2014 to retain this company to start a walkway and patio improvement
and new veneer on front foundations project for my house, with a deposit of $800. Per the signed contract,
the project was supposed to start on 9/29 and completed on 10/7.
No one ever communicated to me on whether the project will start as planned until I called the scheduling lady
on 9/25. I was told that the project could be started on 10/8 or 10/9. On 10/6, I called their office again, and left a
message for the scheduling lady asking her to call me back to confirm the date as I was given two dates 10/8 or 10/9
and also let me know the name of the project manager assigned to my project. I never got any one called back.
Note that their office has a voice mail box for the entire office, so even if she was out sick as they later claimed, I am sure someone would have picked up my voice mail and should have found out the situation and called me back.
I called the sales on 10/8, the re-planned date since no one showed up to do the work, about the matter and
he told me he would contact the lady and let me know.
As of 10/9 morning, I still did not hear any thing back from the sales and the scheduling lady
regarding the schedule and when the project can start, so I decided to cancel the contract, since
they have missed the dates twice and the completion date of 10/7 is passed.
I faxed and emailed to them 10/9 morning a letter stating that due to their inability to start the project as planed and
re-planned, and the lack of proper communication to me, I decided to cancel the project and asked for
the return of the $800 deposit. It was not until after 5:00 PM and well after I have sent them the cancellation letter that
the scheduling lady left me a voice mail with a new start date of 10/15.
Before I was told the new 10/15 date and after I have sent them the letter, the sales sent me an email saying
"this is silly as we have you scheduled". I guess he forgot that as far as customers are concerned, the
project was not scheduled until a new date is given to the customer and no one told me "we have you scheduled"
before I sent them the cancellation letter. And, this is probably the first time I was called "silly" in my life...
I should have told them I am not a kid, I am a senior citizen ...
The owner called me on 10/10 to talk about the matters. At that time I have already lost my interest in working with
them. I asked for a refund of my deposit. He refused saying they have put in some work, such as applying
for permit. I guess he did not know that applying for permit is a simple thing to do that amounts to filling a
two-page form that even my kids can do ...
So to make the long story short, I hired this company for a $8200 project with $800 deposit in August. They
failed to start the project per the contract and the re-planned dates. I tried to cancel the contract after the
the specified completion date of 10/7 and asked for the refund. They refused to return the $800 deposit.
Any way, I definitely CAN NOT recommend this company.

Terrible! Poor workmanship and even worst customer service. I cancelled job after one day of production. The company is now refusing to give me back any of my $3500 deposit and will not return any of my phone calls.
I have repeatedly tried to contact this company to discuss the financial impact of canceling this order. I stopped production due to the poor workmanship of the job. The company refuses to communicate with me. I am (and have been) willing to discuss with this company the financial impact of my cancellation and negotiate a partial (AND FAIR) refund of the $3500 deposit that was given to this company prior to the start of this job. I EVEN SENT A LETTER CERTIFIED/RETURN RECEIPT INFORMING THEM THAT I WOULD LIKE TO DISCUSS A PARTIAL REFUND....I have photos of the work done to the point that I canceled the job. One photo shows a chipped stone on the lower right corner block....i literally broke this corner off with my hand....why the company would choose to cut a corner stone, i do not know....they make solid corner blocks for corners....Another photo shows that they did not deconstruct the existing stairs down to the foundation....the mound of dirt left in the center was from the original stairs that they removed....when i ordered a new set of stairs i wanted a new set of stairs from the foundation up....not something fabricated around the old stairs....unacceptable. Another photo shows how each level of stairs is indented by a few inches...including the treads....in line with how retaining walls are built...not in line with the vision I had of stairs...I wish i could post those photos....a picture is truly worth a thousand words. As a consumer, i believe i have the right to cancel a job i deemed unacceptable and negotiate a FAIR refund...i am not the one trying to rob a company....but i refuse to allow this company to shove this poor job on me and my home....nor am i willing to let them walk away with the entirety of my $3500 deposit.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THEM, I WOULD SERIOUSLY RECONSIDER HIRING THEM.

June 2nd came and went with no news on when the work would begin. They do not call to inform you where you might be on their schedule. We call them repeatedly to find out when the work will start so we can manage our schedule and the standard answer is "It could be next week or the week after but we cannot promise , there are delays from the rain." They promised to call back mid week next week and the call never comes . If you leave a voice mail to the scheduling team it is never returned.
In all fairness it is understood that outside work can be impacted by rains and lead to delays . However it hasn't rained so much to justify the delay of 25 days any more . The key thing is we have *never* received a call from the company , you are left to chase them yourself and this is even before the work has started . A company listed on Angie's list with rave reviews need to exhibit far more professionalism in managing their contracts otherwise there is nothing to differentiate them from other companies.
Will update if and when we hear back from them on when our work is scheduled and how it goes. One would hope they can catch up and deliver a great end result making it worth the test of patience

Update 8/8/2014: We were finally contacted for work start date of 7th July . The 1st day the ground crew arrived early but they did not have any instructions on what needed to be done . With that sorted out they did the digging work . Since it is a small patio they were done within an hour and a half . After that they waited for material that did not arrive and they closed for the day promising to be back at 8 am. The ground crew arrived on time on the second day as promised however there was still no material for them to begin work with . Then one of then went with the truck to get some gravel so work could begin by about 11 am. The ground crew was very professional , they knew what they were doing and they were building the base of the patio as expected . Soon they ran out of material and left for the day . By late evening pavers arrived so we were hopeful work would complete the next day. The next day the workers arrived but we were informed the material required for building the stairs was still not there. We contacted office and asked for the permit for the stairs and we were informed it had not been filed since a wooden stair case already exists. We took the decision to stop work on 9th July and file for permit since our county requires building permit for stairs.

The permit was filed and then rejected by the county asking for more information around 18th July. Since then I have been trying to call/email to find out what is the update . Finally the owner returned my call on 4th August to say they have not yet sent the updated papers to the county because he was not in town and it would be done immediately on the 4th . I have made numerous calls to the office to reach out to someone and sent emails as well to find out what the latest situation is but i have not heard back either on the emails or my voice mails and messages . I have dropped an email to the owner today so hopefully we would be contacted back

Update 8/19/2014 : Worked with CMS to get updated papers and submitted to the county on 8/13 . Waiting on County now.

Update 11/5/2014: I had a chat today with Charles the owner and he has promised that he will get the work completed ASAP. Based on his word I'm upgrading my rating. I'm expecting him to keep his word and his workers to do an excellent job. Once the work gets completed I will put a final update on it.

I went through a lot of positive reviews here, but my experience has been to the contrary and almost painful dealing with them.
I contracted them last September to build a 30 x 50 raised paver patio in our backyard, along with a walkway. The salesman was prompt and explained that this was a big project for them and they would execute it with utmost sincerity. Even though their quote was a little higher I decided to go with them with the assumption that we would get a better service.

There were couple of issues once we signed the contract and they executed the job:
- They changed the walkway pavers on us at the last minute because they had used up our order elsewhere
- The township rejected the permit application they sent us since the survey copy was not scaled correctly and the application fee was incorrect.
- There was little handoff between the salesman, project manager and the crew. There was no architectural design or design patterns to share with the crew.
- As the project went on we noticed that they had missed building the 30 foot step on the back of the patio. We had to get them to stop work and to call their office to get it corrected.
- The cleanup was rushed once the job was completed since they were pressed for another job.

Now that the work was done, we noticed several problems crop up. The walkway started getting grass/weed from under the walkway and the rain water had started collecting by the sitting walls, seeping into the patio. We first communicated the issues to them in January. After reviewing the pictures which we promptly provided, they assured that both issues would be addressed immediately and were covered under their warranty. However it took around 10 emails, and several phone calls over a period of 4 months, before they even sent someone. When the crew arrived we were told that they weren?t authorized
to do the whole job, and even now we continue to get water collected. I am baffled as to why Stone & Patio assured us for 4 months only to not fix things.

In my opinion this company is not looking to honor its warranty and, they would continue to find excuses for what we clearly see as design flaws. I am actually surprised at the lack of professionalism and at lengths they would go to, and not fix such seemingly minor issues.
So the bottom line ? No, I would not recommend Stone & Patio to anyone. We are planning on getting work done to the front, and under any circumstances would not hire this company again.

We have wanted to replace the old wooden steps with matching Allen block for years. Once we had good weather, the whole job took about 2 1/2 days. We couldn't be more pleased with Scott and his crew. Old material was carted away and area was cleaned of all building materials. Will definitely consider S & P for our next project.
These guys are top notch from the office staff down to the workers and Scott who watched over the whole project. They are the Mercedes Benz of patio installers, and while their price was higher than others I got, I'm of the mindset you get what you pay for and do it once right.
The initial presentation Scott gave was top notch and he went through everything that shows why they are the best. They use a triple compacting process and dig down about a foot to make sure these pavers aren't going to move or have stuff growing in the cracks. The guys worked fast even thought the weather was cold and the paver patio turned out looking awesome. Scott gave us good recommendations, but was never pushy trying to upwell us on anything. They even came back after the job was completed to do a final clean-up of the property.
The communication I received from Tammy and Scott was fantastic and I'd definitely recommend them for their service.
