"This has been a rather unfortunate series of events. Midway through last year, 2025, local jurisdictions (counties and cities) throughout the state were initially told all licensing was going to transfer to state level, through the DBPR. Then, the state apparently softened their position, giving counties and cities the option to continue licensing locally. Well, we were happy with this, as Marion County, which happens to be our home jurisdiction, elected to continue licensing locally. We quickly discovered that most areas chose the opposite route, honoring only state licensing for registration of new contractors going forward. Fortunately for us, however, our neighboring towns, cities, and counties have all issued registration through reciprocity, based on our active, and in good standing, Marion County license(ccc 25314). Some of those jurisdictions were a little tougher than others, but once we were able to show the Marion County license required the same testing, through the same agency, as the state, they have all registered us. We currently are licensed to pull permits and work in Marion county, Lake county, Sumter county, Leesburg, Lady Lake, Villages. Sadly, upon applying for Cardassi permit, we discovered the city of Ocala wanted to honor only state licensing, even though we're licensed for all of Marion County. We figured, okay, we've just got to go through the same process, and show them all the same documents. However, they have been very adamant about not flexing from a very rigid state only licensing policy. Although we were caught off guard by this, and naturally disappointed, we realized we'd just have to go through the state, so that Ocala, or any jurisdiction in Florida, would be covered. So that's exactly what we've done. I've reassured the Cardassis they will get their permit. I've sincerely apologized multiple times. Our state application(#51184) is processing, and the moment that's done, we'll pull permit, and forward #, and any relevant info directly to Mr. Cardassi. We certainly are disappointed it's been a headache, and again, genuinely sorry for that. We will, with 100% certainty, get them their permit. I'll not get deep into the allegations of shoddy workmanship. I'll simply say there are multiple instances of absolute silliness as far as the understanding or analysis of construction issues. We do quality work, to industry standard and beyond. Though I will apologize once more for a few things dragging on at the conclusion of the job, I would note that most of those things were add-ons, which were thrown in with no additional charge. Anytime I'd talk with Stephen about scheduling these last things, he was easy going, and more than agreeable. He also told us countless times how delighted he was with the work. We wish the Cardassi family the very best."
