At Coastal Kitchens Inc. instead of a showroom we use door style, finish and kitchen cabinet samples, as well as photo design books and CAD on laptops to display your kitchen as it is designed. This way we eliminate the need and the cost associated with a showroom business model. This makes the design process more convenient for our customers, and we pass the significant savings on to them as well. Our design process also allows us to spend more time working on our customer’s designs. We are so glad we chose Coastal Kitchens and Baths Inc. for our remodeling project. They did such a great job on our master bath, guest bath, and the flooring throughout our house. The luxury vinyl looks amazing and completely transformed our home. John was very hands-on and made sure everything was completed with attention to detail. I could even text him late in the evening—sometimes around 9:30—and he would respond right away. That level of communication and dedication made the whole process smooth and stress-free. We are extremely happy with the results and would definitely use Coastal Kitchens and Baths Inc. again.

I had my kitchen remodeled by Coastal Kitchen and Bath a few months ago, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! I can honestly say the experience was outstanding from start to finish. John, the owner, is not only extremely skilled and professional, but also one of the friendliest people you could hope to work with. He took the time to really listen to my ideas, made thoughtful suggestions, and guided me through the entire process so that I always felt comfortable and informed. The quality of the work speaks for itself—every detail is beautifully done, and the finished kitchen completely exceeded my expectations. It’s clear that John takes a lot of pride in what he does, and it shows in the craftsmanship. Beyond the excellent results, the project was completed on time and within budget, which gave me tremendous peace of mind. What also stood out to me was the value. Remodeling can be a big investment, but I feel that Coastal Kitchen and Bath delivered incredible quality at a very fair price. BEWARE OF COASTAL KITCHENS & BATHS! This review is for a complete remodel of our master bathroom that occurred in early 2024. This business has no BBB rating. This business has no employees. This business has no presence on Houzz, Angi.com, Home Advisor, Yelp or any place else online and no website. Everyone who works for John Bailey is a sub-contractor. His subs vary widely in quality. Some are good and some are not. His idiot painter tracked white paint all over our master bedroom carpet. When I complained to John about that he responded that we were going to replace the carpet anyway and so what! His sub-contractors had to access the bathroom by going through our master bedroom. THEY DIDN'T EVEN PUT DOWN DROP CLOTHs. When I complained to John about that he had them put down tarps that were so filthy that it made our floors even worse than before. When it came time to install the vanity countertop the supplier (Best Cheer Stone) delivered the wrong countertop and John didn't even notice! My wife caught the mistake. John pressured us into accepting the mistake by telling us there would be a 2-3 week delay in the project if we insisted on returning the countertop. He did get us a discount from the supplier but it’s still the wrong countertop. Recently I noticed that one of the bathroom floor tiles had cracked only 10 months after installation so I called John to see if he would replace it. He told me he would talk to his tile guy and get back to me. A week later still no response so I called him back. He clearly did not want to accept responsibility and told me that replacing the tile might damage other tiles. This is nonsense because I have had 3 tile contractors look at the job and none of them said anything about that. When I tried to get John to accept responsibility for the cracked tile he got mad and hung up on me! BEWARE OF COASTAL KITCHENS & BATHS! John Bailey is super sketchy and will blow smoke at you all day long to get your money. He does not guarantee the work and will leave you with a $600 extra charge for tile replacement. I have other complaints too but in the interest of brevity I will stop here.

"Business Response: We welcome honest feedback, but this review is full of inaccuracies and contradictions. 1. Countertop: The supplier mistakenly delivered the wrong countertop. We immediately offered a free countertop upgrade at no cost, which the customer accepted. To later claim we “pressured them” is not accurate. 2. Tile Flooring: When the customer reported a cracked tile months later, we offered to replace them at no cost, including labor. The customer refused. Saying we “wouldn’t fix it” is simply false. 3. Cleanliness: Our crews always use protective coverings. In this case, coverings were placed on the floors per homeowner’s instructions. 4. Business Practices: The review claims we have no presence, employees, or website. This is easily disproven. We are a licensed California business with signed contracts, documented projects, and a long record of satisfied clients. We are rated as a super service award winner on Angie’s List for several years. 5. Contradictions: The reviewer says we “don’t guarantee our work,” yet admits we offered both a free countertop upgrade and no-cost tile replacement. These two claims cannot both be true. Text documentation / phone verifies that we offered to replace his tile at no cost. Our company has proudly earned the Angi Super Service Award for several years, reflecting verified positive feedback and consistent customer satisfaction. Because of the factual inaccuracies and contradictions, we believe this review is not a genuine reflection of our work and respectfully request that Angie’s List investigate its authenticity and remove it if found to be fraudulent. We stand by the quality of our work, and our reputation speaks louder than one false review."

John did a phenomenal job! His workers were on time and friendly, they did great work! John and his crew did amazing work. John works with your budget and helped me find fixtures that worked w our budget. I trusted him/his crew unattended in my house. He takes pride in his work and followed up and even came out after the project was done if needed. His warranty on his work is great. I’ve recommended him to family members and friends who have also used him and loved him as well.

It’s hard to find an expert contractor that is also honest. John ensures his team produces high quality work. He’s there everyday to make sure it’s done right. The job was done expeditiously despite that his team was in high demand. It was much less stressful for us with his process to get everything delivered before the actual construction began. We love our new area so much that we hired him for our two bathrooms upstairs next.

We love our new master bathroom. John and his crew were the best. John walks you through all your alternatives and helps guide you to a solution. He is so easy to work with and very easy to get a hold of. Any time I had a question he always responded very quickly. We never felt alone during this project. He was with us all the way from start to finish. John is so good at what he does and he knows the right way to have things done. He his a perfectionist. His workers were all very nice and neat. It was during Covid and they all had masks and were very careful. Once we started construction it took about 5 weeks to completion. His pricing is very fair and he is always looking for ways to help you keep your costs in line with your needs. He is also very honest & trustworthy and the kind of person you want to have work for you. We enjoyed working with him and won't hesitate to use him again. I wish I would have found him years ago.

John and his group did a great job giving my wife her dream Kitchen. The job involved a compete demo of our kitchen to the studs with a rebuild to a new foot print. All appliances and plumbing was moved. While they used a high quality pre-made cabinets they were creative in creating a custom island as well as a small pantry. John and his group made sure everything was perfect. They took no short cuts and treated it as if they were working on their own home. Jeff who did the cabinetry work is a real craftsman who work to make sure everything was perfect. The whole job took 6 weeks with a one week delay due to two broken sinks we ordered from Amazon. This group is really worth the cost and I highly recommend them.

We received 4 bids to remodel our master bathroom and extend our closet and Jon's bid was straightforward and competitive. He explained how he bids the cost of the remodel with basic construction materials. He does not include or allocate a dollar amount for the flooring, vanity, tile etc. that cost we were responsible for. He explained with this process we get the upgrade material we want from the start. Because of his years of experience he did provide insight on where we could find and purchase the materials at very competitive prices. This process worked out very well for us as my wife and I enjoyed choosing all the upgrade materials ( tile, bath fixtures, lighting, tub, flooring etc.). Jon is a bit of a perfectionist and he does not like to leave anything to chance so he always thoroughly communicated with us and his crew and always backed it up in writing. He and his crew were always professional and on time. The job took about 8 weeks and in the end we couldn't be more happy with the results.

Phenomenal! Great job! John came in and remodeled a condo I own. Remodeled the kitchen, both baths, painted the whole place and did some electrical upgrades, as well. I would highly recommend John. He was very easy to work with and his work is exceptional. His subs he uses are really good! I would use him again.

<p>The work provided by Coastal Kitchens in a word? Amazing.</p> <p> </p> <p>From the bidding process to closing out the punch list, John's professionalism and skill was superb. I had a kitchen from the mid 1980s that not only needed to be redone but also redesigned as space was a concern. John provided three options to choose from that maximized the space and made it far more usable than the previous layout.</p> <p> </p> <p>When I added a few more items to do, John was more than happy to include them into the job and dealt very well with the scope creep to ensure we finished on time and on budget.</p> <p> </p> <p>As I was remote for most of the construction, John was extremely helpful in keeping me apprised of how the work was transpiring and was excellent with communication... If I called or texted, he always took the call or texted within the hour to discuss the project.</p> <p> </p> <p>One of the little bonuses he provided were the 'surprises'... he provided additional items outside of scope free of charge. As an example, I requested a new front door and he provided not only the door, but the jamb and framing as well. There were several little instances where I received additional work free of charge and it was very much appreciated.</p> <p> </p> <p>If you're looking for a contractor who is courteous, on time, knows what he's doing, and provides excellent attention to detail, John is your guy.</p> <p> </p> <p>If I do any additional remodeling, I'm not sending it out for bid, I'll get John and Coastal Kitchens.</p>

We had the most wonderful experience working with Coastal Kitchens & Baths. We are extremely satisfied with our freshly done new bathrooms. Every time we step inside we feel like we are in a five-star hotel and about to enjoy a relaxing spa. :) <br /> <br /> The owner, John Bailey, is so knowledgeable about all aspects of the various types work involved in a bath remodeling, including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, cabinetry, tiling, and glass doors. He has been in the construction business for 30+ years and my hubby and I learned so many new things every time we talked to him. He is like an encyclopedia of home improvement solutions. :) He is professional, courteous, efficient, hands-on and in fact the most pleasant contractor we have ever worked with. And the same is true of his subcontractors. He has long-standing close working relationship with them, and he knows their trades and their quality of work by heart. This is really important in assuring that the work performed is held up to the high standards he has /clients desire and that the subcontractors are on site available for work when the projects calls.

This is the second bathroom that I have had remodeled by Coastal Kitchens and Bath. John Bailey, the owner, is very detailed oriented. I had complete confidence that our second bathroom remodel would go as well as the first. I had a deadline that I had to meet and John fulfilled that deadline. <br /> John recommended suppliers to us and gave his objective opinion on whatever I asked him. He would give the pluses and minuses of each decision. He never tried to push me one way or the other, but made my decisions easy. <br /> We made a few changes half-way through the process and they were not a problem. He wanted us to be happy. <br /> The sub-contractors that he used were first class. They were on time and went about their job always cleaning up and answering any question we may have had Remodeling can be very stressful, but we did not feel any. <br /> .We are very happy to have both of our beautiful new bathrooms. We actually had a bunch of guests a couple of days after completion and they raved about the new remodel. <br /> <br />

His staff were always on time for scheduled days and finished the project within the promised completion date. I saw the bathrooms recently and was floored with how beautiful they were.
