We worked with Wayne for our back patio extension. The whole experience was really great and competitively priced. He made great recommendations that were honest and ended up saving us money vs. other contractors. He went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied and he even had his crew help fix an issue our fence contractor left behind. He was great at communication and just overall a really nice guy. Glad to support a local company and family. Highly recommend!

Good people but wasn't great work. I've waited a year to write this review as although I've been upset/angry about how my patio turned out I didn't want to write an overly emotional review. I actually enjoyed talking with Wayne and Sherail unfortunately the finished project didn't end up being the best. My complaints (pictures attached) include: several popouts (6-7 in total with a new one appearing every few months) approximately 2-3x the size of a quarter, concrete that broke away (revealing rebar) near my door, sloppy edge work that isn't straight and has holes in the concrete, an uneven surface throughout the entire patio (it does have an intentional gentle slope away from the house but there are peaks and valleys throughout the surface), and a finish that wears away if you wash it with water or wipe it with a rag. Additionally, they made a significant amount of concrete that wasn't needed and then put all of the excess on my grass without asking me where a good place to put any excess concrete might be. They did pick the vast majority of it up and haul if off two days later but all of the sediment and concrete pebbles/chunks that were left behind killed all of that grass. Although none of this can really be fixed I did ask Wayne to come and look at my issues after completion and although I received a verbal "yes" over the phone I never received a visit. Overall, this just seems like a lack of attention to detail which left me with a subpar patio. Most of the reviews here are good so maybe I was just an unlucky one but nonetheless wanted to provide my experience.

It's been 5 years since we replaced all grass and foliage in our backyard with "stamped concrete" and had our pool redone. The concrete is in great condition but lost it's lustre and was looking dull. We needed it to look like it did originally. Looked in Angie's List and Home Advisor for some possibilities. Started with 2 companies that were both highly rated in both referral services. The winner ended up being Collin County Concrete. Family owned, friendly, and excellent work. Services from Collin County Concrete was excellent from the estimate, and throughout the project. They even went beyond by contacting possible contractors to fix additional items that was not part of their concrete job to assist in the overall project we were needing. Owners are very professional and easy to work with. Crew arrived on time and completed the entire job in one day. Good quality work and they cleaned up after themselves, which was a big plus. Patio extension looks great - extremely pleased with the finished product.

Worked with Sherail. The team on the first day busted up and removed the old slab, built the formers, then poured the concrete, The next day they removed the formers, cleaned up and relocated one sprinkler head. The original quote was for a 4" slab but because of a slight slope in the backyard we got a 6" slab. There was no charge for the extra thickness. They had to remove part of the back fence to get the equipment in. It was all replaced correctly and we have had no problems with it since.

They extended my dads patio as well as ours and always do a great job. They even knew to add additional cement where we were putting a built in grill to be able to support the stone. I would absolutely recommend them for any cement work to be done. Very polite and kind to talk to as well.

The rear of my house is on a green belt and is not accessible. Collin County Concrete had to carry in all of the materials down the side of my house and through an opening that was just wider than the gate (40 inches approximately). I had multiple communications with Sherail in getting an estimate. She was always punctual to return my emails. We ran into a string of storms and it became necessary to postpone the job multiple times, but she always communicated with me. When the day finally came the men doing the work were clean, they worked hard and got it done in one day as promised. They did an excellent job matching the existing grade and height of my patio. They then returned 4 days later and took off the forms and checked it. I even got texts from Sherail advising me to water the new concrete so it would dry properly. I am very pleased with their work and highly recommend them.

Blocks of front sidewalk to house were negatively affected by determined tree roots. Crew tore up walk, put in new frame, rebar and poured new concrete. Final product was aggregate finish. Only hiccup was that they ran short of concrete at the end of pouring, so used old chunks of concrete to fill in some of the space--to stretch out new concrete. Not thrilled by that action. However, sidewalk looks terrific and crew work hard. Price was competitive. Would use them again.

Wayne the owner, was extremely courteous. He immediately responded to my inquiry regarding the repair and replacement of my existing patio. He showed up on his scheduled appointment time, examined the patio, made suggestions and provided a quote for his services. I made 10 phone calls all together. One contractor called back and was not interested; one contractor called back 3 days later, one sent me a bid by phone and all others did not respond to my message. We called back Wayne to accept his offer the next day. We were anxious to get the job started as we needed to finish our landscaping project. Wayne responded by text to all inquiries and contacted us on the day he could implement the patio. His work crew showed up in the afternoon along with Wayne. They were polite and worked until the job was completed. After the cement dried for several days, Wayne came back and removed the structural framework and cleaned up the area. There were slight imperfections in the way the concrete dried and per our request, Wayne came back and smoothed the two rough outer edges of the concrete walkway. We were pleased with Wayne's professionalism and communications! He demonstrated flexibility and was receptive to our request to repair the imperfections on the walkway. We would definitely contact Wayne/or recommend his company to those seeking Patio enhancements or replacements.

Sherail was very knowledgeable and gave us some good information about layout. The price was comparable with other quotes received and we went with CCC due to Sherail's knowledge and input. They were able to start a couple of days before the preliminary date we had been given and work was completed within three days. Overall our experience with CCC was good and the product that was constructed was what was quoted. <br /> <br />

<p>I picked Wayne because of the level of discussion that he had with me about the project. He was open that his price wasn't as competitive as bigger companies, but I felt he'd do a better job on the project. Mostly, I'm happy with the work. He spent a lot of time making sure the color and the stamp was how I wanted it and his crew was really good. </p> <p>Only negative marks I'd give is responsiveness and follow up, which I think could be better. There are a few things that remain to be done to clean up after the work and this still hasn't been done, nor have I heard from them since early June about coming back out to do it. There was a lot of sod that was disrupted and it never was fully fixed or replaced. If I use them again, I would have a much clearer agreement on expectations, having the experience I do now with it. Also their "estimate" was a two line email with the overall price, but no contract and no detail on the deliverable, which I think they should do so there are no mis conceptions about the work or the follow up.</p> <br />

This is the third job that Collin County Concrete has done for me, and the first since they were on Angie's List. They came <br /> out and gave an estimate, which is just about the exact same cost as the two jobs I had done several years ago. They were <br /> held up due to the many rain storms in the area, so the scheduled date was postponed, but that is expected when you are <br /> doing concrete work. Overall, very satisfied with the work. They came back and covered the concrete due to storms in the <br /> area, and then came back the next day and removed the plastic and the forms, and then filed around the edges. <br /> Thanks! <br />

I would not use them again. I have acreage and they tore up a lot of my yard area and my driveway area. They did a good job with the concrete but they tore up so much. We discussed getting some dirt to fill in what they tore up and he said he would find me the dirt and he would bring the bobcat back and fix it. We have not heard one word from him. I am not pleased. They did a good concrete job but they didn’t finish it and left us with a lot of work we have to do now.

I checked on Angie's List for concrete contractors and Collin County was one of two I selected to provide a bid. They were the lowest bid for the same work. They met me at the prescribed time to give me an estimate and were on time the day they prepped and poured the concrete. They were neat and were personable. <br />

I provided drawings to build from. Like most residential contractors, they have their normal way of doing things. If you want something different from the norm, they must be closely supervised. They worked well with me and provided what I wanted from the drawings. Cleaned up well.
