The initial work went well but after 6 weeks the chimney started leaking again and this is where the main problem arose. Trying to get back in contact with this company was frustrating to say the least, I tried to contact the company several times but the phone just continues to ring and no one answers. The receipt I was given gave me a 15 year warranty on the work, they are not living up to expectations.

They are. Not living up to the guarantee and keep putting me off. I am afraid that the animals will get into my chimney which is why they said I needed this work done. I am a senior living on a fixed income and cannot afford to pay twice.

I purchased a special deal through Angieslist, $99 for chimney sweep and $200 dollar worth of masonry/Chimney repair. The crew arrived on time and were very polite. When I showed them the woodburning stove insert they both seemed confused by it, they said they weren't familiar with inserts and weren't really sure how it worked. They cleaned it out but were not able to look in the chimney because of the way it was set up. One of the gentleman told me its fine to use as long as smoke doesn't start to come in the house. Obviously. I was under the impression that people that bill themselves as chimney sweeps would be able to figure out how to check out the actual chimney.
Our house has another chimney in the rear that is not in use. There are gaps in the brick where the mortar has fallen out. I figured I'd use the $200 credit towards having them pointed. The gentleman went up on the roof and inspected the chimney. He said the chimney needed to be capped, rain was getting in and that was causing the erosion. Makes sense, during my home inspection the previous year we were told to have it done somewhere down the line. He said he would cap the chimney and seal the concrete around the chimney on the roof for an additional $200. He said there was no need to point the brickwork once the chimney is capped. The guys went on the roof for maybe 15 minutes and installed the cap and I guess seal something or other. I don't have a 40' ladder to get on the roof and actually see what they did but it couldn't have been much as they were only up there a few minutes and I didn't see them carry up any concrete. I suspect they probably used mortar sealant caulk which is fine but doesn't really equate to the price charged. My main gripe is that I paid $500 (99, 200 credit, 200 at time of service) for them to vacuum my fireplace insert and install a cap (found on home depot.com for $80) on the chimney. I get the feeling that when you buy this $99 deal they not really honoring the $200 credit. I'm no expert on this sort of thing but I don't think the work that was performed was anywhere near $500 worth. I also got the feeling they were in a bit of a hurry and that's part of the reason they didn't want to do the pointing work.
There was some problems because I was doing my driveway over and they couldn't get in so it was delayed. They came out and did it and did a good job. The price is good.

Very professional and friendly. I would rely on this company.
They gave me a window of 3 hours to arrive at the property, however I was the 1st appointment of the day so not sure why you can't confirm a time? They also did not call me on their way to the job as discussed
I thought the price was reasonable for the service, however I can't confirm quality. All I know is the job took a lot less than other chimney cleaning services I have had in the past.
Two gentlemen arrived, very courteous and professional. I escorted one gentleman to the furnace area to investigate what would be cleaned. I was amazed to see what I saw! Soot (looking more like crumbled dirt and sand) nearly filled the flue; solid evidence there was a serious and potentially unsafe problem in that side of the chimney. The other gentleman shared that he'd go to the top of the chimney to advise me of the condition. He also took pictures on their phones so I could see the condition above. There was no cap on the furnace chimney (I had one on the fireplace chimney). He also looked into the fireplace chimney which I greatly appreciated. One gentleman advised me of the cost of the repairs, I agreed to the cost, and they began working. These gentlemen were outstanding; demonstrating great concern for the safety of my home. I would not hesitate to use them again.
They were thorough..complete..punctual...looked like a job well done; I particularlly like them installing ONE single chimney liner piece vs sectional pieces, which he (Frank) said was in there originally and what some installers still do..I feel like i got a quality product n service, and, i'm supposing at a reasonablely fair price. I
f the need arose i'd probably use them again and recommend them to others..FYI.. I had a slate roof which made it particularly difficult for the guy on that slanted n slippery roofing surface...
