Matthew has a 2 year undergraduate study in Art and Photography from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He has been painting for over 20 years and worked on several restoration and remodeling projects. Matthew has been interviewed and quoted in the living well section of the Appleton Post Cresent News Paper, on his color experience, expertise and how he applies color to different personalities and different room types. Colorfield Painting only employs pre-screened and the top qualified licensed contractors and painters to assist with large jobs and work loads. Colorfield Painting is fully insured and guarantees all painting contractors and painters that work with and for Colorfield Painting are also fully insured. Matthew did an excellant job in transforming our living area. He and his helper, Dusty, were very careful to cover all area. Excellent! Matt helped us select a great color palette with outstanding vision to tie it all together in multiple rooms that have some unique architectural aspects. His attention to detail is impressive but I what appreciated most was his willingness to go the extra mile for us. He was prompt, on-time (or would call ahead if delayed) and courteous. He also managed to finish the job a day early. Highly recommended!

<p>We had them pain the whole interior of our house. He started in December and finish one room then came back in January and finished the rest. I thought the price was reasonable. I also like the overall care he took.</p>

Fantastic! I honestly don't know if I can find the words to describe what a great job Colorfield Painting did and how happy my wife and I are with the work that was done. Matthew met with my wife and went over different color schemes and ideas for each space. He was very patient (And this is my wife) with helping her decide on final colors, matching our furniture and artwork with the color scheme and the tone we were looking for. Matthew was there as scheduled daily and very accommodating with our schedule as well. The cabinets, doors and trim look amazing literally a factory finish, his cut-in lines were smooth and straight. The rooms he painted look terrific! No runs/drips! He was super clean and thoughtful while performing his craft and diligently cleaned up every night before leaving. We wouldn't think twice about having him back in our home and would recommend him to everyone. <br />

The project went very well. I was somewhat worried that it could be completed on time but Matthew is very efficient. He did a terrific job including adding several small touches that were above and beyond what we originally had in mind. The work was completed on time. It was done well including nightly cleanup. Met with contractor the week prior to review the work to be done. Had recently decided to have a contractor do the work rather than ourselves prior to new flooring being installed. Contractor came out and reviewed what needed to be done and supplied a quote within 2 days as requested. Reviewed the quote and the Angie's List discount which the Contractor had applied up front and we agreed to move forward. Contractor came out early and started work within a couple days of acceptance of quote. Started early everyday (before 8am) again by our request and worked until a good time at end of day about the time we were getting home from work. ALWAYS cleaned up after themselves and asked if we needed anything else done before they left. Another bonus - No surprises. Job was completed on schedule, in fact a couple hours early so that we could get ready for the flooring company to follow within 2 days. <br /> Appreciate the job that Matthew's team did. <br /> Would recommend without hesitation! <br />

I was in a real bind. I had tons of wallpaper stuck on like cement and a very limited time frame for removal, prep and painting. Matt was able to start within 2 days and finished the entire job in 2 days. He removed it all, filled all holes and repaired cracks in the ceiling. He even taught me how to fix ceiling cracks on my own. He was prompt, very neat and did a great job. I could not have been more pleased. He cleaned up after himself and was super pleasant to deal with. I would not hesitate to hire him again. He was also very reasonable. <br />

Overall the experience was excellent. My wife and I had previously tried removing wallpaper which was time consuming, hard to do, and very frustrating for us. The men from Colorfield made it look easy. They moved all the furniture to access the walls to be painted and replaced it after the paint dried. They cleaned up after themselves and removed everything they brought to the job. The quality of the painting they did was good enough to make us both very happy. The only minor complaint I have is that in the process of getting an estimate and hiring it was difficult to get a response to my calls. They may have just been that busy! I would hire them again for any future painting that I need done and <strong>definitely</strong> for any wallpaper removal. <br />

Great experience. We were looking to hire someone fairly quickly and Matthew called me back right away. Although his schedule was booked, he was able to get us in within a week or two. We used three different colors, and one of them had to be matched from another paint brand. He made sure to clarify the finish we wanted and went over his process. The room turned out perfect. He followed up with me right away as I was out of town when the work was done.We would definitely call him again for any other painting work.

Matthew was very responsive to emails and phone calls in arranging a time to meet to view our home. He offered options for us to consider and had a good eye for color. We choose a neutral color and are very happy with the results. The home looks refreshed and the colors work well with the dark cabinetry and fireplace. <br /> Matthew was very professional and friendly in his demeanor and worked hard to make sure that we were satisfied. Matthew and his crew painted my entire downstairs. They removed wallpaper, moved furniture, taped, covered lots of things up. They were very courteous and professional. I almost felt a little guilty not helping out, so I offered to help move things, but they kindly insisted that they had it all taken care of. At first, I wasn't sure what to go with, but Matthew gave me a lot of good options and we picked out a great color scheme. It looks fantastic! I love the colored ceilings and the accents in the dining room. I thought it was going to take a lot longer than it did, but once they got going, they were done about an hour early. I would certainly recommend Matthew and his crew to anyone. They did a fabulous job! Thank you!

The quality of their work was good, but we didn't like the amount of time between our initial deposit and the completion of the work. It was mainly a problem with the weather, but there were very few windows of opportunity and there was a lack of communication about how we were going to be scheduled. It felt like there were several miscommunications about that and it was frustrating.

Colorfield Painting, specifically the owner Matthew, is an absolute pleasure to work with. Right from the start of the process he impressed us with his detailed estimate. We had several estimates done and this was by far the most fair and clear estimate of the work that would be done. He visited our house a couple times to ask questions about our project and seemed genuinely interested in making sure we had colors picked out that we loved. He helped us a great deal in the color consultation part of the process (at no extra charge) and gave us many good suggestions on trim and shutter color ideas. He picked out many samples and mixed and matched them with us until we had our perfect colors. <br /> The quality of the work done by Matthew and his crew was top notch. They did a great job of preparing the surface to be painted. We had several spots where wood was rotting and they picked up new wood and replaced it for us. These guys work hard and do an excellent job with the more detailed parts of the job like the window trim. They took care not to damage anything in our garden or landscaping as they worked. They cleaned up after they were done working and left everything in immaculate condition. Matthew and his crew were polite, thoughtful, and thorough. They were genuinely concerned about our satisfaction. The entire job took about 4 days. <br /> My wife and I are so happy with the job Colorfield Painting did and would highly recommend them to anyone. <br />

The weather delayed the project but we were kept informed the entire time. The painter asked for permission to do the sanding and painting during the weekend in order to catch up with their schedule. It was not a problem for us and they did not block the driveway. We would recommend this company to anyone looking to get the house painted. Execellent job!
