Scott keller is the dirtiest Contractor I’ve ever dealt with I paid him $30,000 and he really made a mess of my home I sued him I won he appealed and he won’t pay me so beware and stay away also he’s not licensed

<strong>I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal in September, 2012 for 2 painters for a day for $399.  I contacted Scott in approximately August, 2013 before the expiration of this deal on July 17, 2013.  He said he would honor the deal even after the expiration date.  Scott came to my house on August 6, 2013 to look at the area, tell me how much paint I would need and a price of $100 for additional patching.<br /> We had some difficulty scheduling a mutually agreeable date to do the work, so we finally got together on a date of Saturday April 18, 2015.  Scott needed to get a ladder in order to reach the areas of my ceiling that needed to be patched.  He came with 2 helpers instead of just 1, so I got 3 painters for the day.  The patching and painting was completed on Saturday, and I decided to get the trim painted as well, which included 11 doors plus 2 doorways, floor moldings, etc.  Scott sent one of his helpers - Tom, to paint the trim on Sunday, April 19.  I paid an additional $250 for the trim painting.<br /> The cost was $824 for labor plus what I spent for paint.  I bought more than this job needed because I have other areas of my house that also need painting.<br /> I am very pleased with the results.  The area hasn't been painted in the 25 years since the house was built.  Since it was so high and large it really needed a professional.  There was also patching needed that was in high areas of the ceiling and where the ceiling met the wall, some of the original taping of the seams had lifted.  Scott also gave me advice on another painting issue I have with the external doors peeling, and refinishing my hard wood floor.<br /> </strong> <br />

An unusually wet Spring and Summer delayed the start. Arrived at 8 AM and finished by 2:30 which I think is fast. Gave me a good price to do the four bedrooms and basement. Recommenced. <br />

They do excellent work and were accommodating on pricing.  They had a whole team here, got everything done on time, and cleaned up very well.  I found them to be very consumer-oriented and personable.  I would use them again.

Estimate/seeing space - late and rescheduled once.  <br /> I run my own business so took off a day and scheduled a day for the painting a few weeks in advance.  The morning the work was to be done I called after they were late and was told they weren't coming.  He had been at the firehouse all night and was still there.  Not one of his other 3 employees or him tried to call the night before or early in the am to let me know.  I love those that volunteer but when people are counting on someone to show up, it is no way to run a business.  <br /> He rescheduled with my husband to come 2 days later - I had to work so my husband had to work from home to accomodate the change.  We had company coming into to town so needed it done asap.  <br /> Actual work was fine and completed in the time they said. <br />

I originally bought an Angie's List Big Deal offered by Complete Painting. When Scott came over to get a look at the job he seemed very professional so I decided to get an estimate for several other rooms to be painted. Scott spent a significant amount of time helping me decide what exactly I wanted to do with each room during the walk-through. The price seemed very fair so I accepted it on the spot and he put me on the schedule for the following week. In the meantime I mentioned to Scott that I was having a bit of a problem with our local paint store. He immediately and effortlessly took over matching all the colors I had chosen and purchased them for me in all the correct finishes, quantities and custom mixes. This was a big help! When he arrived right on time with his team of 4 family members they got right to work prepping everything. All I had to do was move my personal effects and they took care of the rest - removal of electrical plates, moving or covering everything. Working as a team things moved along quickly. They were able to paint 2 story walls including one being a staircase as well as the trim of skylights without any trouble or drama. I had more than one painter tell me it couldn't be done. I have had many projects done here in the Albany area and I can say it is rare to have a job very well done at a very fair price by friendly and professional people. They were even great with my 3 big dogs who didn't exactly make their job any easier! I would definitely call on Complete Painting again and i actually expect them to come back soon for more work to be done! <br />

I contacted Complete Painting And Repair for a free estimate and they were quick to return my call.  The next day, Scott stopped by and we walked the property and he provided an estimate.  Within the next week, I received three other estimates from competitors. Complete Painting and Repair gave me the best bid and also left me with confidence that they'd do the job well. <br /> I provided Scott with the colors for the deck and house.  He took care of acquiring the paint.  It took approximately two weeks for the job to begin and another week to finish the job after it had began.    This was primarily due to an unfortunate streak of bad luck with weather.  <br /> I was very happy with the work and plan to solicit Complete Painting and Repair soon for a bid on some interior work. <br />

The walls that were painted were done well. There was no time to complete the trim around the windows and base molding, alas,  and the painters were not available to come back for over a week. Therefore, we were stuck with our house in shambles (breakables removed, paintings taken off walls, etc.) and the job not completely done. Initially I was not happy. <br /> However, the price was insanely low for what WAS accomplished and it is hard to blame these nice people for having run out of time. So: fair enough. I (and they) should have foreseen that time would run out and we should have decided together that the small hall would not be done in exchange for completion of the the trim. <br /> Unfortunately, there was some light splattering of white paint here and there (on the floors and rugs and furniture)  in the rooms that were painted. The company is insured, though, and so a professional cleaner has come and taken care of the main problems at no additional cost to us. A leather specialist is scheduled to come remove the last remaining paint stains on the leather couch. Scott is an honorable businessman and his team of workers, though imperfect , were very courteous and well-meaning and easy to have around. He was responsive to my feedback and swiftly took care of matters in so far as possible. <br /> In the end , I am not quite a totally satisfied customer (it would have been better to have everything completed on schedule and no paint spatters to deal with) but I am not a furiously unhappy customer either. I hired someone else to come in and finish the trim  at very low cost to me and everything looks fine right now. The couch will be cleaned in a few weeks. <br /> If I use these painters again (and I might, because they were so nice) ,  I will stress the need for adequate protective coverage of furniture and I will do more preliminary preparation myself before the job is begun. <br />

They showed up on time/Taped and covered everything--finished at 4pm cleaning up nicely. <br />

Very nice family of four, instead of the promised two, but only one of them?Scott?  really a professional. I made the mistake of asking for an estimate to do an additional job for an extra (very reasonable) fee and therefore  the prepping for that (on the 23rd) and the follow-up on the 24th ( the scheduled painting day) came out of the pre-paid for time. This was really my fault , I now realize, for not sticking to the original program strictly which one should do with deals like this.  The extra job ended up not being done, depite the investment of time becasue the surface of the wall did not accept the repairs done to it. To illustrate the problem SCott began to chip off small  sections of the wall and thereby made it worse. The clock was ticking , though and so the three rooms that were to be done in the day that was prepaid were left without most of the trim being painted. And we still do not have a new day on which to complete the job. So all my furniture and art work are in disarray for another week.  <br /> Another problem is that my leather couch was spattered with white paint. Drop cloths were used but the furniture must have been moved to paint the ceiling at some point and so the couch is probably ruined. I have tried numerous cleansers with caution to no avail. This is a big reason to be unhappy but Scott has said that he is in touch with furniture people that will advise him about how to remove paint from leather. <br /> The price was too good to be true. In retrospect I realize that the painters were trying very hard not to lose too much money on this job and maybe rushing it thereby causing the damage. They are nice people and may be worthy of being given more work, but one needs to be vigilant and be sure that proper protection is done to furniture that is too heavy to move out of the painted rooms. <br /> I may have them come back and do the repair that was begun...if they call me again. ANd if they clean up the couch...We shall see. <br />

Complete Painting did a great job.  They came and gave a quote and  told me what type of paint would work best for the job.  They also told how much they can get the paint for so that if I couldn't get a better price they could get it for me.  It looks great. <br />

He came when he said and did a good job painting what we could not reach. It was fairly priced and he did a very neat job and cleaned up after himself. He was here for one day and we were happy with the results. <br />

the painters spent a lot time to prepare the walls, and cover the furniture etc. It takes longer than expected to finish the job, but overall they did a very good job. The price is very reasonable. I would strongly recommand this company. <br />

It was the first time I had used them. It went very well. They did a good and neat job. I have a brick house and they were careful not to get paint on it.

Came promptly for Estimate.   Did a Power Wash 2 days later,  and started painting 2 days after that.  Arrived as scheduled, got quickly to work.  Took 2 days total (1st & 2nd Coats).  Good communication- Nice Job- Pleased- <br />

The prep power washing was done on a Saturday, I was very happy about that so I didn't have to take two days off of work. The stain work was done on the following Wednesday. The quality of the bush and roll work was good, the stain didn't dry as quickly as it probably should have, possibly due to the proximity of the power washing and rain the day before. this meant the deck furniture caused a little damage when replaced three days later, not the amount of damage that could not be fixed easily, just a nuisance. The stain has since cured and hardened and looks very good. <br />

He delivered as he promised and I felt as though he did a good job. I will definitely hire him again. He does meticulous work and they are very friendly.

Scott came out right away to get me a quote.  He said that the job involved more than the Angie's list deal covered and said it would cost an additional $150.  He came out when scheduled and did a satisfactory job, but it does not look like he scraped over or sanded areas that needed it.   The "D" rating is primarily because he performed the job in less than 4 hours, yet still charged me the additional $150.  The job was not particularly complicated, but I live in a nice area, so I guess he charged a premium.  I question his integrity for this reason and would not recommend him on that basis.

I found out about Complete Painting and Repair through a coupon promotion on Angie's List.  The price was good ($250 for 8 hours of the painter's work, plus the cost of supplies).  Scott returned my call promptly and was very pleasant and professional.  The coupon covered the cost of power washing the fence and deck, and then painting the fence.  He also offered to paint the deck for an additional $50 and I took him up on that as well, since my back was acting up.    <br /> I'm very pleased with the work -- the fence and deck look like new.  The fence is that basic wooden lattice, which can be a real pain to paint (I painted the fence myself a few years ago and was dreading having to do it again).   <br /> I'd definitely hire Complete Painting and Repair again. <br />

Went very well. Neat, clean, left no mess.
