Contacted this company about getting some work done. Got quote, submitted contract with deposit. Almost a year now, no work was ever started and now can't get refund or response.

The company raised the concrete but didn't take any precautions to keep debris out of pool. After two days of cleaning we have all cement particles out of the pool, but find it necessary to clean out our pool filter Though the concrete did raise in some spots it is not totally even; water pools in a couple of spots. Be advised that this company only fills in the holes; you have to hire another company to stain the cement to match deck color. Clean up is not high on the priority list.
I called for an estimate in early March and they came out promptly. The guy took some measurements told me what to expect and gave me an estimate. The price seemed a little high but I have no idea what it costs to raise concrete or cost of materials for the company. The thing that sold me on them was the fact that they use a concrete slurry instead of just mud (hence the term mudjacking). The estimator explained that they don't do mudjacking because mud eventually breaks down and you get the same problem again. If you google the term mudjacking and read reviews like I did you will see a lot of people complaining about the problem returning. So I liked the fact that CRC used concrete slurry rather than just mud. I thanked him and told him I would call them when I was ready (scraped together enough money).
So I called them at end of April and sent in a deposit. They scheduled me right away for the following week on Tuesday May 7th. They called the day before and confirmed appointment for 8am the next day. On Tuesday they arrived a little after 730a and started prepping their equipment. Once they started drilling I could see what they were dealing with. The slab was done poorly when it was originally poured. It had varying thicknesses among the different holes which made me a little nervous on how successful they would be in getting the stairs heading down to the garage to come up with the slab. The workers were nice guys, polite, but for the most part I left them alone to do what they had to do. At one point, they rang the bell and asked me to come out and look at something. When they had tried to drill through the top step heading down the garage it had cracked and split the whole step (tread and riser). They tried a second hole and it split again. The head guy explained to me that the original concrete on the stairs just wasn't strong enough to hold up to the stress of the drill (about a 2 inch bit) so that they were going to try their best to raise the stairs and drill every other step rather than 2 holes per step. I agreed and they went to work. About an hour later they were done. The main slab came up great and filled the 3 inch void that was there prior. The stairs on the other hand looked a little wonky. For the most part they leveled out but that top step looked pretty bad with the cracks and it high on one side. The head guy explained that they were sturdy and full of the slurry, but looking down on them, it looks like each step is going in a different direction level wise. The crew cleaned up the mess pretty good but left some slurry blobs on the stairs and in the corners that I easily chipped away at and cleaned up myself a few days later. My neighbor has an epoxy concrete finishing business and he's going to help me coat the surface of the slab and hide the patches from the drilling. Overall a good experience, but I would have rated them a notch higher if those stairs came out better. I know they can only do what they can do with someone else's poor work, but now I have to refinish that top step so it looks smooth. Structurally the stairs are fine and I never use that entrance to my garage so not a big deal.
Originally I contracted with him because we had a lot of water in my basement. The water was pretty high. I had a few people off of Angie’s List come look at it and they were giving me estimates between $20,000 to $25,000. The guy who came in from Concrete Raising gave me some good advice. He told me not to start with an expensive solution. He told me to try the sump pump first and see if it would work. It seems to have solved the issue and it only cost me $4000.00.

After some delays the work was done as described above. It looked perfect. We were warned to stay off it for several days and leave the cars off it for a week so it could cure completely. IT NEVER DID! The office was very responsive. Inspectors came out. Perhaps humidity was delaying the curing. "Give it a few more days, another week. try mopping it, etc" Nothing worked. After several weeks they decided to clean the surface and reapply the finish coat. After waiting for this to cure the job was finished as promised. Except for the frustration we are happy with the job.

"Member, Thank you for your ratings and comments for the two jobs we performed for you this year. These jobs are a terrific example of how a contractor and customer can work together when a job doesn't go 100% as desired initially. Open communication, patience and trust are key to working through unanticipated issues. We appreciate that you would recommend us to others and allow us to work for you in the future. Thank you, Concrete Raising of Upstate NY"

The initial work was done as scheduled. Holes were drilled in the floor where the slab had dropped and a concrete slurry was pumped, under pressure raising the affected areas. At a point the slurry being pumped into one hole would start to come out of nearby holes. The mechanic told me this was as much as they could do. He, and his assistant cleaned up and left.
I was not satisfied since the floor had been raised only about halfway.
I contacted the office and they sent an individual to check the job. He agreed that it was not satisfactory and assured me that the mechanic would be able to complete the job once the initial slurry had cured.
Several days later the workers returned and told me that their instructions were to complete the job and not to leave until I was satisfied.
They were able to complete the job to my satisfaction.
In general I was pleased with work and price. It has been over a year and no signs of settling or problems. There were several problems due to communication between salesman and work crew. Typical over promise by sales. When problem rose work foreman was rude and hostle. Almost cancelled the job but one of the workers stepped in and worked it out

They seemed very professional. It was a lot of money but I did it because everyone agreed that it was the right thing to do. I would recommend them because I think they know what they are doing.

They were prompt and responsive. The technician came out to see the crack in our basement wall, explained to me how to remove more sheetrock so he could do the job, and made an appointment to do the repair. He was exactly on time for both the estimate and the repair. Once the repair was complete, he gave me tips on repairing the sheetrock. He also gave me the discount on my coupon even though it had expired.

We have an attached garage that is slab on grade. We use it primarily for my husband?s workshop, but there was a large three piece crack that has settled eight to ten inches at the lowest point. The settling made the floor completely unleveled and it limited what we could do. We wanted an inexpensive solution for our problem and most of the other companies that we got estimates from wanted to rip it out and pour new. The work is not perfect and we still have cracks but it was good enough for what we wanted. They did all the work in one day. In a couple of days all of the work was completely cured. There are holes and the cracks are still visible, but the ground is now level and that was our main goal. We paid less than eight hundred dollars and the estimates that we were getting for rip out and pour were about twenty five hundred dollars to three thousand. They came out the day that they said they were going to.

In preparation for their visit I removed all items from my basement (allowing at least 3' path around the entire basement). I also removed dirt and debris with a broom and sprayed a bleach/water solution to loosen anything that the broom would not remove and to kill any mold that was growing. I also applied CLR to help remove some of the water stains. Looking back I really did not need to use the CLR, the bleach/water solution was more than enough. Overall, I was satisfied with the work that was performed. They arrived on time and performed all items that we agreed to. After they filled the cracks I reviewed the work and there was some disagreement on what I thought was a crack and what they thought was a crack. I was told the TEAMBLOCK would fill what they did not cover. After the TEAMBLOCK was applied I could still see some cracks but they came back and filled them in with the TeamStop the same day (although I am waiting for them to drop off some TEAMBLOCK so I can touch-up the spots they had to redo). The painting was a little sloppy. There were drip marks on the wall and paint on my window frames, but since this was my basement I was not overly concerned. They did scrape the paint off the window frames but there was nothing that could be done for the drip marks (luckily these spots will be covered with shelving). The smell of the TeamStop and TEAMBLOCK was very strong. I recommend turning off any HVAC equipment to avoid having the smell spread through the entire house. We selected the slate gray paint and it was darker than what I expected.

The employee who performed the job was very courteous and professional. The owners were very defensive and one of them said that he was only responding to my questions "as a courtesy." Yet he is the person listed as the "Complaint Person" with the Better Business Bureau. I would not recommend this company to any one. Over-priced and offers no warranty on work done. Very loosey-goosey about what is promised and what is delivered. All verbal; not enough in writing.
