Contemporary Refinishing

James was very nice and professional. He was very punctual anf informed. He told me that there may be a spot that needs to be redone and they would come back. I called and sent pictures. Talk to owner Marc and was like he would be coming out thr following week. Nonetheless never head back. Money down the drain. I've called several times and now not answering my call.

Scott was outstanding, very diligent and hardworking. He did such a great job on our tub. It looks brand new. Could not be more satisfied. A great company to do business with.

While at first glance the work looks good the contractor could use some lessons on detail. Basically, CR is painting the tile with a durable, highly adhesive paint. When painting it is customary to remove from the wall fixtures that can be removed in order to paint "behind" them-- i.e. light fixtures, electrical plates, etc. CR did none of that. They merely taped over the fixtures and went to town. The result is that around all of those fixtures I can still see a thin border with the original blue/pink tile. Worse, we informed them that one of the light fixtures would definitely be replaced with another with a smaller footprint and they still painted around it so now we have a large blue border around that fixture. In addition, CR failed to properly coordinate work with the general contractor resulting in some tiles going unpainted entirely. Some of those unpainted tiles were eventually painted but not all of them. Our experience with the durability of the product is mixed. The work in the hall bathroom has stood up to heavy use. There has been very little chipping and zero peeling. However, in the master bathroom the shower floor began to peel up less than a year after the work was complete. We called CR and it came out to repair. That repair peeled up less than a year later. We called again and CR repaired it again. It peeled up again and we called again. This time I was informed that to properly repair the peeling they would need at least $300 additional dollars. This was quite frustrating given that the shower floor had never lasted more than the one year warranty. Rather than pay for a repair I felt should have been done for in the course of doing good business I made the repair myself. I stripped off all the old paint, scuffed and etched the tile, and then used a contrasting textured concrete paint to refinish the shower floor. I looks much better and thus far has stood up much better than the original work. Overall, the quality of the work could be better as well as customer service. The product seems to be good if applied properly.

Mark was very responsive. Arrived on time for the scheduled appointment. Very friendly. Outstanding job on refinishing our bath tub. After completion, tub like new.

I was pleased with the job, but afterwards I realized that some jewelry from my bed size table was missing. They did the master bedroom bathtub. I recommend you not leave any valuables out. They really had no business on the other side of my bedroom. They must have used the phone on that bedside table and saw the jewelry that is now missing.

Marc did a fantastic job for us! We had two properties, a rental house in University City and a condo in Clayton and both had ugly and old tile in the bathrooms and kitchen. Marc was helpful and professional in seeing the projects right away, giving us written bids and helping us select the colors. He and his workers did a great job protecting the cabinets and walls and worked quickly and efficiently. Plus they were able to squeeze us into their schedule. The baths and kitchen look brand new! We also had the tile floors in the three bathrooms sprayed and our designer thought we had laid new tile!

Excellent experience. Drake arrived as scheduled and went to work immediately. He sealed off the bathroom which kept dust from escaping. The process took about hours. The tub looks wonderful, much better than I expected. I would definitely hire them again and I do recommend them. They are professional, courteous and they clean up after the job is complete.

Everything was great. Professional, punctual, cleaned up, everything was good except for what I am going to assume was a misunderstanding. I found this co thru Angie's List which also had a $100 coupon for using this service. When I talked with the owner I asked for the price he quoted me $375. He never mentioned that is with a coupon from Angie's List, nothing about a coupon discount so I was under the impression that the service would cost me $375 less $100 coupon which was not the case. The $375 included the coupon. I was happy with the service just think they should be a little clearer in regards to their price.

It went very well. Looks really nice. Newer finish on tiles is wonderful. They used 2 different colors for me.

James did an excellent job. He arrived ahead of schedule. Which is a plus for me. He was very professional and he did a fantastic job. The tub is beautiful.

The job took several days. We did this last November and now 6 months later I will say we love it and have recommended Marc to several people. Shower mold is not fun to deal with. Their finish covers the corners and has eliminated a lot of the caulk. I will say we do dry off the shower after using (especially in the corners) and I expect our shower will look like new for many years. People who have seen the work can't believe it was refinished. This was a great way to save money and update/refresh a bathroom without the massive expense of a tear out. Very happy!

Excellent. They did a beautiful job. Very efficient and knowledgeable.

Marc came out and gave me a bid and we scheduled the service around other contractor work. His worker arrived on schedule and did a great job refinishing two bathtub surrounds including one with a fist hole in it and both with screw holes from glass doors. They were extremely dirty (this was a rehab property) and they now look like new. This was much more cost effective than replacing them and I think they look better than new.

They arrived on time, got the work done with no disruption to the rest of the household. Final product was perfect. Very informative on care of new surface, professional and friendly. Will definitely use again.

James was punctual, extremely fastidious, kept me informed of progress, did a beautiful job of re-glazing and re-caulking and cleaned up without any residual mess. He explained and gave me written instructions for care of the new surface. I will ask specifically for him when reglazing of another bathtub.

The refinisher was prompt, courteous, did a good job, and left the bathroom very clean. He also offered good advice on upkeep. Thus far, the finish has held up beautifully.

Outstanding job by Scott-very pleasant to work with,clean-up great and he is very attention to detail. This old cast iron tub looked like new after he finished-highly recommend this company.
