Cooks Plastering

Wouldn't go down this rabbit hole again. The work is still incomplete 9 months later. Multiple appointments have been set and deadlines missed. I am a retired person and can't afford to hire people to redo work I have already paid for. The work was "completed" when I was out of town and payment sent. The owner agrees it was substandard and keeps promising to make it right.

Mr. Cook came out on 8/17/22 and gave me a written proposal to repair plaster through out me home, for $1195.00. On 9/20/22 a deposit was given to Mr. Cook of $600.00 to start the repair on Oct. 5, 2022. An additional check for $225.00 was given to Mr. Cook to start work at rental property ASAP. So at this time I am out of $825.00. I would like a refund of $825.00. No communication, and No Work has been done.

Cook’s Plastering did an amazing job on my living room cieling and bathroom walls. The cieling had an awful wavy texture and the bathroom had large seams. Now the cieling and walls are so smooth and look perfect. I highly recommend their services.

On 11/16/21 I gave this company $400.00 down payment for a $1000.00 Job. Bathroom Dry Wall, Prime and Paint. Larry told me that was a week job. 4 weeks later only Dry wall was completed. I had to hire someone else to complete the work. Do not give any money until after Job completion.

Larry Cook looked at my project 7/4/21 and took a deposit. We scheduled the job for a few weeks out (I wasn’t is a hurry) Now 4/6/22 the job is still not started. I’ve asked for my deposit back on 2/3/22 and have been ignored since.

Larry was a total pro. He was professional and punctual and had excellent quality. Highly recommend!

I wouldn't recommend this company. They did not finish the job. They did not communicate properly. They are just about the money.

It is excellent!

Not good. Mr. Cook did not initially keep his appointment because of an auto accident in which he claimed he had been involved. He finally came and did the plastering but not to my complete satisfaction. There were pieces of plaster left on the vent which he told me I could remove later. I could not remove the plaster. In addition, several months after he did the work, the plaster cracked, crumbled and fell to the floor. I tried to contact Mr. Cook to set up an appointment time. We set up an appointment time but I never saw him. When I tried to reach him by phone, he did not respond. I am completely disgusted and displeased with his poor work and failure to answer my calls. It is intention to report him to the Better Business Bureau.

Nice crew, not precise for interior homes. Required paint removal on many doorknobs and wood trim as well as a trip back to correct errors. Would probably suffice for cottages or outdoor paint projects. Again, very nice crew.

larry was incredibly helpful and professional. we had multiple areas of plaster that needed to be repaired before we closed on our home. even when we had to add 2 additional areas to plaster, they were glad to help. even after the work was completed, he stopped back by the house to provide an estimate for additional painting. He was always available by phone and quick to get our work done. we just had some plumbing work done and I have already called back to get the additional work done.

Went good he was on time, very polite, and did a very good job. Not expensive and I can tell he love what he do. Good job and clean up. I am definitely calling him back for more work.

Better than I could ever imagine. Larry is a gentleman, a master at his craft and very professional in every area of his work. I would definitely hire him again without a doubt. I have never been so pleased with anyone that I have hired to do any kind of repair.

Larry Cook contacted me within an hour after calling and came by that night and gave me an estimate on work to be done which I thought was very reasonable and hired him to do the job. We set up dates when work was to be done and work was done according to plan. I'm happy with the work that was done and would hire Mr. Cook again.

Larry did an excellent job. Larry was nice, professional, punctual and performed high-quality work at a great price. I plan to use Larry again for bigger projects.

Mr. Cook came and assessed what needed to be done and came up with a great ideal that saved me time and money. Mr. Cook did a wonderful job and we are very pleased with the results. We will be calling Mr. Cook whenever we need the services that he provides. Thank you so much.

Excellent work, very clean and Larry is very professional

As usual Larry Cook did a terrific job. He had his crew move the many boxes stored in the room, then lay down plastic cloth to protect the furniture and rug. The plastering proceeded the next day, and the painting followed. Larry Cook is a talented and skilled plasterer who is able to replicate the pattern of the original so it matches the parts of the ceiling that were untouched by the disaster. He also made sure to match the old ceiling color in the new gallons he purchased. My husband and I also rely on Larry to move everything back and leave the room totally clean after all the work is done. Couldn't be better!!

Mr Cook did not show-up for the work. I had to call him to confirm the appointment. Both on Tuesday June 19 and again between 12 noon and 1 pm the day of the service. He did not give a time he would come for the service. He said he would call back in 1 hour. He call back over 2 hours later, and said his sister died and his brother left a message at 7:45 that morning. I still don’t have my money, the completed service, nor a rescheduled appointment.

The work as done in very professional manor. Worked around our schedule.. He was on time, when he said he would be there. His worker were also very professional.He did not accept payment until we were pleased the job. Would recommend to others, and would hire again.

Larry is terrific. He planned to stop by to give us an estimate but because the job was small, he repaired it on the spot. He was done in under 30 minutes. This is the second job that Larry has done for us. The other job was bigger and he was equally reasonable, professional, and efficient. I would recommend him to anyone.
