It was excellent, he actually did a few more things that he needed to do. They did everything on the outside of my building. It looks excellent. William was critical in assisting me to get a fair settlement from my insurance company.

Corick Constuction worked with our insurance company to repair our home damaged during the blizzard. They did a great job & clean up was thorough job cleaning up. They even worked in the drizzling rain. Our insurance company did not include labor costs to install the new window so Corick threw that in for free. Ron Shinkle stopped by everyday to inspect each project. Very Satisfied, highly recommend.
I am writing to place a formal complaint against Corick Construction. This company was the most unprofessional
company I have ever worked with. The crew that worked on my home remodel was as unprofessional as the owner, who
uses his cell phone for the office number and his cell phone mailbox was always full. His sales rep told me it was best to text him. Really? That was completely unprofessional in my opinion, but texting was the owner?s primary form of communication.

When Corick Construction did the exterior remodel on my house, the workers would throw their cigarette butts and pop cans all over my property. They did pick up the cans at the end of the day, but I had to pick up the cigarette butts. They left debris on my landscaping and when I complained to the owner, he said "you're worrying about nothing" and "that's not a lot of
debris" as a response to me texting him and sending him pictures. The debris stayed laying there for 2 days before someone came back to finish the job and clean it up. At the end of the job, I gave Corick Construction a punch list of 18 items to correct due to poor workmanship before I paid him the final check from my insurance company. The work took 3 weeks to complete rather than the 3 days I was quoted.

Since completion of this job, the owner contacted me by text message on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, the day after he received final payment, saying that I owed him $1,148.00 for additional work and if I didn't pay him the additional money by Friday, he would put a lien on my house. I sent him copies of my receipts and invoices, all saying this work was paid in full, but he went and put a Claim of Lien on my house anyway.

I have contacted a lawyer who states that the Claim of Lien is without merit because I have signed receipts and invoices stating the bill is paid in full. He also stated the contract that Corick Construction used is missing verbiage that is required by the Indiana Home Improvement Act. There are civil penalties for failure to include this verbiage, and there is also unlawful verbiage that requires a potential client to pay them 35% if they chose not to have Corick Construction due the work. My attorney has notified the owner of Corick Construction that he has until November 25th to release the lien or else we will be filing a law suit seeking all remedies available under the law.

I would never recommend Corick Construction to anyone I know and will never work with them again. I would recommend to anyone who is having similar problems with Corick Construction, that they should seek legal advice to remedy the problem.
