We chose CrawlSpace Medic based on professionalism, reliability, reasonable cost estimate, and previous reviews on Angie’s List. Each day the crew showed up on time, worked hard all day, and cleaned up at end of each day; were respectful of property, and very professional, and pleasant to work with. They kept us informed of progress, and what was being done each day. During removal of old piping, they found additional damage behind the pipes that was not visible/identified during initial inspection- were very reasonable with determining the additional cost. They replaced damaged sills, old rotted floor joists, installed permanent support girders with masonry piers, installed a 10ml plastic vapor barrier, and installed multiple foundation vents. We are very satisfied with the results. Our floors are no longer bouncy, and floors feel very sturdy- was a dramatic difference after work completed. The 10 ml plastic Vapor barrier also has prevented that old damp smell inside the house after heavy rains. Was a good experience, and reasonable cost-(initial estimate $10,400, additional work required and we added foundation vent installation was $3800); would hire again.

Life Savers!! We live in an older house with a very small bathroom. We had a home inspection recently and were altered to some major subfloor, sill and joist damage. We knew it was in rough shape but the inspector used terms like “100% moisture and “previous repairs poorly completed”. I called a few other contractors and remodel companies that started to throw around some huge numbers and timelines to make the repairs. The consensus from them was the tub would have to be removed before they could do any subfloor repairs. In a house with one shower that wasn’t really an option for us. I saw the reviews for the Crawlspace Medic and decided to give them a call. It was the best decision I could have made. Sharon, Paul and Stanley were great; they made the process very easy and efficient from the initial phone call to the installation. Paul came out to do the initial visit (11/14) and assured me he had seen much worse and his company had developed methods to do all the necessary repairs from underneath the house leaving the current bathroom intact. The quote arrived the same day and was extremely reasonable. They got us on the schedule right away (11/20) and on the day of the repairs Nick and his crew arrived on time and were very professional. The job was scheduled for two days but they completed it in one and did a great job. We no longer have to worry about falling through the floor. They also provide a follow up inspection in 90 days and informed us of a couple other minor leaks that were noticed while completing the repairs. Crawlspace medic is a great company and I would 100% recommend them to anyone needing their services.

The schedule of work areas was changed without notice, so I told owner (Greg Bajan) that we would do our own tile ( as listed as an option on the contract.) After removing the floor outside the shower, the subcontractors installed 2x10s between joists outside the shower(tile was crumbling in the shower). No support was provided under the shower, which was found later to have rotted joists extending into and past the adjacent hallway. This could not have escaped the notice of the subcontractors, but nothing was said. My tile installer removed the existing tile and found the room to be slanting over an inch in 3 ft. I brought in another contractor who installed two 8 in x 8 in x 16" in concrete supports with 24 in x 24 in x 10 in footers and 4 treated lumber joists 10-12 ft long. I paid $2,400 for this contractor to complete (over 3 days) what I had paid Crawlspace Medic $3,600 to do. This repair was completed in September after discovering all the work that was not performed by Crawlspace. The laundry room was reinforced in a short time with a 2x10. Subsequently, other contractors have reported wet plywood but no structural issues. The french drain was installed over a week or so primarily by one person hauling gravel piled on my driveway . He did good work installing the vapor barrier and french drain. This work prevented Crawlspace Medic from receiving straight F grades. The sump pump was spiced into existing wiring under the house. This has been re-wired. I don't know if it works. E-mails with pictures and invoices with the cost of completing Crawlspace Medic contracted work have been unanswered by the owner. Pictures of damage to the drywall in the adjacent bedroom have been ignored and denied. The fixtures have yet to be re-set due to ongoing repairs, but no monetary credit was given. For this, I paid $9,910.00.

Paul, the operations manager, came out to look over the work to be done, discuss my concerns, and gather data for a free estimate. Ann, the office manager, had a detailed estimate to me within a day or two and I agreed to have the work done. The workers showed up promptly as scheduled each day of the job. The excavation turned out to require less time than estimated, and only half of the insulation needed to be replaced. Paul adjusted the quoted price accordingly. The work was done professionally and to my satisfaction. Paul and Ann kept me up to date throughout the course of the job. I would not hesitate to call on Crawlspace Medic again should the need arise.

The inspection was as described in other reviews. Professional, Timely, and Comprehensive. The inspector made a point to explain everything and answer all questions. We were encouraged to get quotes from other vendors for actual improvements needed, and counseled to not believe another vendor if they recommended specific actions that were "over kill" for our situation and more costly.

Because my home is built on stilts, they were unable to recommend a plan other than to hire a landscaper to re-direct the flow in the yard. They did reassure me that there were no leaks that needed to be handled for the structural integrity of the home.

We had a great experience with this company. First of all, Brittany in the office was quick to respond and set up appointments to suit our busy schedule. When the scheduled appointment had to be changed to a later time, she called me to let me know and schedule for later. Paul came on time for the rescheduled appointment, completed a thorough inspection, and provided guidance on next steps. Before he started, he told us it was very possible his company would not be the one to do the work we needed. Afterward, he explained what needed to be done and what our next steps should be. Then, within two hours, we received an email with an explanation of what was observed and pictures of areas of concern. We could not have been more pleased with the timeliness and professionalism of this company. When I asked the cost, Paul stated he didn't charge when they couldn't help us. We actually insisted on paying a fee for the evaluation and he gave me a basic charge which was more than reasonable.

They did a wonderful job. They spent part of 2 days to cover approximately 1500 square feet of vapor barrier in a very difficult low clearance areas to access. They were professional, highly skilled and I would highly recommend this company to service any crawl space/ foundation issue. I have already referred their service to friends and plan to have the crawl space medic continue to inspect under my house. I learned your crawlspace is very valuable to your air quality and the value of your home and so often overlooked. They use higher quality 10 mil versus typically 6 mil vapor barriers at a much better price.

From the start, I was impressed by the service provided by this company. They were out promptly to provide an assessment of my problems and recommend the repairs necessary to fix them. I had inspected the area myself, but they provided pictures of all damaged areas. Their quote was very competitive. There was no hard sell and I was very impressed by the individual that completed the inspection and estimate. Once the work was scheduled, they stuck with the job until complete. I was provided pictures of all work and verified them by my personal inspection. I was very pleased with all aspects of this project, would use them again and highly recommend them for similar work.
