Their service went very well. They came out for the estimate very promptly and the price was great. They showed up on time for work and fixed everything. When I pointed out something they missed, they stayed late to fix the issue. We have had rain since and have had no issues since the repair.

They were prompt for both the quote and the work. They identified fixed 3 cracks in the basement. The work was done well (3 rainstorms later and no water in the basement) and the clean up was great. Everyone was very professional.

The work was good for the most part.  I was pleased with the actual work downstairs and the pricing but I was disappointed in a couple of things like they missed some of the door from the way out to the basement.  They also said that there would be no dust or dirt in the kitchen but when we were out there, there was dust on the stove so I wasn’t pleased with that.  I understand that workers have to use the bathrooms but water was shut off and no one could figure out how to turn on the water so they did their business, opened the toilets and never flushed them; all three toilets of the house.  I was very not pleased with that.  One would think that somebody that is in construction business could go in the basement area and figure out how to turn on the valve so that they could flush the toilets.  It was gross.  They ripped out everything down in the basement and that part of it was fine; I thought that they did a good job there.  The price was very good.
Response from Crawlspaces/Basement Waterproofing Solution
"This customer is absolutely correct and for that, I am embarrassed. The work was done at a good, fair price. The actual work was excellent and we actually took pictures for the customer, living on the east coast. However, regardless of the vacant state of the home, there should have been further steps taken for dust escaping to the room at the top of the basement stairs. Our traditional work allows us to control dust to the point that I DID tell the customer that dust will not be an issue. The additional service of demolition of the finished basement, especially in such an older, (yet magnificent) home, caused more than our typical dust proliferation. We did offer a cleaning service for the home. The customer ,. to date has declined, but the offer remains open. The fact that the customers facilities were used, let alone left soiled, was heartbreaking. We have worked so hard to accumulate the highest scores in our industry. If there were a way for me to identify the individual(s) that would jeopardize all that myself and my partners have worked for over the years, the employee(s) would have been fired immediately. Valued customer, I am happy the actual work met your approval and at a price you appreciated., But the dust and other issues are valid concerns. I am only thankful that in all our years, I haven't had to experience such a review, and will take all steps necessary to prevent it in the future. This review was the focus of our Monday morning crew meeting and is now the inspiration for 2 of the 12 , "never ever " , items in our crew chief manual. As I said when I called you, my sincerest apology. Brian Flanagan"

Bought the crack repair deal in Nov and in fixing a crack in our crawlspace a much more serious problem was found which need immediate attention. Another visit to have an estimate was made and the work was done promptly a week later. Very nice, professional people work for this company. I am very happy with the work which was done for both jobs.

We contacted crawlspaces.com for an estimate to waterproof our crawlspace. The estimator, Brian, was very professional and friendly. He explained in detail what the job entailed and how long it would take to complete it. It was a pleasure working with him. We agreed to hire crawlspaces.com. The crew chief, Javi, and the rest of the crew were very professional and friendly as well. They treated our property with respect, as if it was their own home they were working on. The finished job is such a GREAT improvement to our crawlspace. We now have a cement floor crawl instead of dirt and gravel and also the entire walls of the crawl were sealed and spray foamed. They also installed a new sump pump. There is tons of storage space and its also a clean and healthier crawl. We have already noticed that our floors in our home are warmer! I'm sure with the winter coming we will also see a difference in our heating bill. The only regret we have is that we did not contact crawlspace.com to do the job years ago.

These guys were one of the best contractors I've ever dealt with. They were genuinely nice people, trustworthy and knew what they were doing. The proposal part was painless and Jim wasn't the typical, pushy sales guy. More like a trusted advisor. And the price was extremely competitive. They showed up on time, Willie, the crew chief, did a great job of explaining what they were going to do, and they did exactly what he said. No hidden surprises & he kept me informed (and showed me) their progress along the way. They sawed & jackhammered my basement, laid drain tiles, put in a sump pump, carted in a boat-load of gravel & cement. They finished on time, on budget, and when they left, my basement was cleaner than before they started the work! I would highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for basement waterproofing or crawlspace work -- the entire experience with them was an absolute pleasure. Not often you can say that about someone who's tearing up your house!

The whole event went better than I could have hoped. To start, I have to divulge that I am the family "handy-man" - for the entire extended family. There is nothing I don't do, drywall, roofing, electrical repairs, cabinets, sinks, tubs, you name it - I have probably fixed it. So it makes me really anxious when a problem comes up that I can't manage on my own, because no one does the job you do on your own home. But I knew I could not handle the crawl space - too much specialized gear and tools, need way more than my own two hands, no access to the right concrete or foam application tools, and no idea how to make the drainage work. After speaking to multiple companies, most of which did not even show up for the estimate, I spent a little time speaking to Greg and Jason. Instead of just shooting me a price over the phone or via e-mail, Jason took the time to explain what was causing my problems, and how and why the solution they were proposing would work. And instead of pushing me on price and a start date, Jason and Greg just answered my questions, gave me a written quote and allowed me tme and space to arrive at my own conclusions. It did not take much more time to decide on Crawlspaces.com. The guys came out exactly on time and ready to work. Every single guy on the crew was up to the work that needed to be done. Each guy was professional, courteous, clean and confident in their tasks. The estimate was right on, the square footage was accurate, the time to start and finish the job was just as they said it would be. They said they'd be there at 730am and they were there at 730am. They said what would be done and at what time, and when they'd break for lunch - it was all exactly as they said it would be. They took care to enter and exit the home with care, laid out plastic and other protective material in every area they touched. They worked quickly and efficiently. What I was most worried about was the workmanship. When I do a project, I never do it to "code" - I do it well in excess of minimum code. So I was more than pleased to see the guys pay the same attention to detail as I would have myself. Each component of the job was done completely and accurately, with nothing escaping their eye. In conclusion, I could not have been happier with the work than I am now. It came out better than I could have done myself under the best circumstance. I recommend Crawlspaces.com without hesitation or reservation. I was satisfied and happy, and you will be too.

They came roughly around the date they had estimated and did the work over the course of a few days, althoug they initially promised to be done in one, MAYBE two, days. The problem was that whoever was in charge of ouring the floor and leveling it did a terrible job. They ended up tearing drywall out where we had been initially told it would not need to be touched, then left significant hieght differences between the old section of the floor that was not removed, and the new pour. They came back and agreed to grind it down or otherwise level it, but it was so bad that it could not be fixed with a floor leveling compound. Grinding it created a dust mess that infiltrated everything, but it was still so uneven on some edges that covering it with a pad and carpet was not an option. They did agree to pay the cost of drywalling the damaged areas, but it took multiple calls to get the drywaller out to do the work and finally a request by us to Crawlspace to PLEASE track the guy down. They came back (now about 3 weeks have passed) and cut out sections and removed all the old cement (at a cost of $500 to us) so that the back room would not have a ledge running down the middle of it where the two sections previously met. It is not a perfect job or anywhere close to it, but we were so frustrated that we were happy to let them go and get furniture out of the family room and back down there. In addition, they initially ran the sump pump drain across the basement ceiling to the wrong wall, coring the wall for the drain line. Very poor communication among the workers and the salesperson. In general, I liked the salesperson, and he was obviously displeased with the job, too, and was responsive in returning most of our calls and even came out himself one night to help with the guy who was going to try to fix it, but it was too late to fix it absent tearing it back out, which was not something we wanted to go through again. Bottom line, the workers rushed through the job, did a very amateurish job of leveling the floor, and there was little we could do to fix it and it finally wore us down. I would not recommend them based on this experience.

I am very happy with the results. I tried to remove a lamp they left (insulation had to wait 1 week till the concrete set) and dropped it onto the wet cement. They are coming tomorrow to repair the damage I created at no extra charge. Crew was most friendly, pleasant, efficient. An excellent experience.

Brian came to give estimate (I already had three estimates, but I am thankful I contacted Brian for a fourth). He simply has a wealth of experience and knowledge, pointed out what work was required and what work was not, answered all questions, and accommodated my schedule. He was professional with a caring, funny, great personality. I chose his bid because he was honest and straight-forward. His price was better than the other companies', and they had proposed work steps that proved to be unnecessary. By comparing bids and presentations, I could easily tell that Brian's company offered the best craftsmanship at the best price. The work was done according to schedule and the results were fantastic. A dirty, nasty space was converted into a dry, clean, sealed and well insulated crawlspace/mini-basement. All work was completed by hard-working, efficient, nice work people--who cleaned up everything! Communication was great! Follow-up was fantastic! The office workers, Jason and April, were always very nice and helpful. I have worked with many contractors and work people in renovating this wonderful home--Brian and Crawlspace.com were among the best!!! I give them my highest recommendation! Many thanks!!!!

It went very well. The quote was competitive; the estimator answered all my follow up questions. The crew arrived on time and completed in four hours, cleaning up after themselves, which is what they said they would do.

Since the basement was totally gutted (had flooded), had them come and check all the walls for cracks before I covered them up. I had had them concrete in my crawlspace several years ago, so I knew their work (flood had nothing to do with their work) Bryan came out promptly and gave quote and work was done promptly

Did an excellent job. Extremely competitive pricing. No pressure, just staight quote and good suggestions. No bad-mouthing of competitors or other products. Performed job within a week of acceptance of quote. Did compete job in less than a day. Were right on time for arrival. They were professional, respectful, and were careful to clean up everything. Kept me informed as they were completing each step. The crawl looks great, and everything is working perfectly.

Brian Flanagan gave the initial estimate. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I had estimates from 3 other companies and had almost given up hope of having the project done within the financial limits of my insurance. He made it possible! When he handed me the estimate I immediately told him "you're hired" and the work took place 5 days later. The team showed up on time and worked until the job was completed 6 hours later. If they took any breaks...I certainly did not notice. The team captain, Willie, was wonderful. Everyone on the team was nice, friendly and considerate about keeping my house clean even though they were doing a very dirty job. They covered the floors in heavy plastic, covered the furniture in the area of the crawlspace access and were careful not to damage the walls while carrying materials in and out of the house. The overall experience rated an A+ and I am now telling my neighbors who also have crawlspaces about this excellent company!
