<p>On Dec.17,2014 we signed a contract with Creative Bath and Kitchen. We gave them $2000.00 holding money, to assure us 2014 prices. On 1/08/2015 we gave them the remaining balance for our 50% down payment cost to start bathroom. </p> <p>They were scheduled to start in March 2015. After many phone calls and listening why they could not start then they finally started June 23,2015. We gave them another 1/3 of the payment The bathroom was gutted and the workmanship was below average. The subflooring still had some wood that was dry rotted ,that was not torn up or repaired . The ceiling was hung in small sections, instead of large sheets. This sub-contractor quit Creative Bath after working on project for 2 wks. The bathroom looked a MESS</p> <p> The next week Jeff Bowers the son of the president of the company became our project manager. That week 2nd Sub-contractor came they were very unprofessional The workmanship was below average. They placed all the cabinets in the bathroom prior to fixing the drywall on the walls. They put in gas line for dryer and gas leaked thought out the house all night. When they came back in the morning we told them we smelled gas. They never inspected the joints found a leak in 1 of the joints. They damaged the 3 mirrored medicine cabinets I bought from Pottery Barn which cost us $1000.00. Tile in shower looked like it wasn't done by a Professional. Seams were not straight and Tile was high and low on wall. Drywall looked as if a high school kid did it .We had Jeff come over and look he agreed that work was bad. It would have to be TORN out and start all over again. We found out later she s</p> <p> The plumbing in the shower was not done correctly Did not want that sub back out here on my Bathroom but Jeff said he talked with him and said he would do better. Well guess what work was not done professionally.</p> <p> So Jeff Said he has his best Drywall man coming out to dress up flaws in bathroom. He worked 2-3 days. and painted. Poor work was once again performed. Now Les(owers Son )and his Brother came out and agreed work was poor. After having 4 Sub-contractors on this remodeling project Les & Jeff said that Jeff would gut out all drywall and tile out of shower and rework all things that did not make Code. Plumbing was 1st done and did not meet code so they brought out another plumber who had to tear out what was supposed to be done right the 1st time.</p> <p> Jeff came out and gutted out all of bathroom for the 3rd time. He brought out Trish and they worked 2-3 days and hung new drywall. (NEW NEWS THEY DIDNOT HANG THE DRYWALL ON THE CEILING CORRECTLY ) this is the owers Son !!! After drywall was hung Creative Bath brought in another Sub to finish Project. This is the 5th sub that worked on this Job. Once he started Tile in shower it was being installed wrong again and had to be Ripped out again. After all this and 5 months later our bathroom is far from being complete. </p> <p>. We had a meeting in Nov with Les( the owners son) Eric and Jeff . They admitted this bathroom was done poorly Les said he is ashamed of the workmanship. They went through the bathroom and wrote a list of what needs to be fixed. We were told it would take at least 10 days to 2 weeks to complete this job correctly. </p> <p>They came the next day to show the contracted what needed to be done. WE are in month of Nov. This is the 6th subcontractor. He installed washer & dryer. It took 3 of us to pick up dryer and position on top of washer. They went to turn on gas to dryer and found out in order to shut off gas in an emergency I would have to shut off gas to the Furnace. Yep no shut value for Dryer. When they went to turn on water THE water hooked up backwards!!!!! The water leaked water all over basement as drain was cut when opening up the flooring in the bathroom. They had to cut into the finished wall to fix the drain. I fixed drain so we could use the washer and dry.. That subcontractor (6) walked off the job. He said he wasn?t being paid enough and the bathroom is a mess and he didn?t want to get involved in fixing some other person work. I called Less and told Les I didn?t want him back on the job. My wife was very upset and said to let them finish the job.I had wrote on Angies list review On Dec 3 my wife talked to Les before Les would finish the job we would have to remove our review. He called my wife on Tuesday Dec 8th and asked her to do a favor for him. He asked if we could pay #6 contractor. XX amount of money . She said We are going to be contacting BBB and the Attorney General office and Angies List.</p> <p>I Would not recommend them to my worst enemy !!!! <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> </p>

"After repeated attempts to make this customer happy, it was apparent that they were never going to be happy let alone pay us our final balance. They were using every excuse in the book to delay our progress. Yes this project would have been done and over by now if not for the customers unfathomable demands. It really hurts when you really try and don't get anywhere with some people. Bottom line they wanted to beat us out of our final payment and now they're want to sue us after they still owe us $5,600! It was slow - 2 weeks and then a couple of weeks for a Man to come 3 days to fix what was wrong. Also, the cabinets were different color than the sink cabinets. <br />

We met with several contractors before choosing Creative Bath & Kitchen. We needed someone with a vision to change the layout of our kitchen. Eric came up with by far the best option. He has a great vision, and was extremely creative in the design he came up with, as well as helping us choose all of our kitchen cabinets, counters, tile, paint, fixtures. The kitchen turned out exactly how we expected, and we are very detail-oriented people. The process did take longer than expected, HOWEVER, I have worked with so many contractors for residential and commercial jobs, and the process always takes longer than expected. I certainly would not hold that against them. We are truly happy with our creative and beautiful kitchen, and give all of the credit to Eric for having the vision for the major layout change. "[Removed member name] is a scam artist. We sold her father a bathroom at a greatly reduced price with the promise of her purchasing a bathroom from us. When we were almost done with her father's bathroom she tried to pull a fast one and cancel her project and wanted her money back. What she forgot about was the cancellation fee, as we had incurred a lot of material costs already. She signed her contract in May. Its a shame people like her exist in this world. She called the office screaming at my mother, sat in our office and had to be removed by the police. People this is the kind of person that writes reviews like this. I have the most beautiful kitchen ever. It is a dream to work work in and the workmanship is simply amazing! <br /> Les and Eric designed amazing work space and Tim provided almost artistry in his installation. There is not one thing that has come loose or was uneven - it was so worth all of the effort and the wait! <br /> I will say this - it took longer than I had anticipated and with three kids in the house - that was hard. But when it was done? Oh my - so gorgeous and wonderful! <br />

<p>I keep using CBK because the owners and workers are professionals providing quality work, good product selection, good project management and they are able to meet their deadline for completion. CBK owners are responsive to questions and also responsive to quick fixes needed during the warranty period. I will use CBK again and continue to recommend them to friends and family. </p> <p>NOTE: I chose not to enter a dollar value for the cost of the work since I consider this a private matter. The price of any project is dependent on the scope and choice of products. I will say that I selected CBK after having several other companies bid on the projects. In all cases, the CBK price was competitive. In the end, CBK had the nicest people to work with.</p>

They have been in and out for a few months to finish the job. I still have a light that does not work correctly in the kitchen. I have to unscrew the lightbulb every time I want to turn it off. They have sent someone out multiple times to repair this, and it is still not done. They were going to adjust the dishwasher so it would not break the counter, and also readjust a crooked handle on one of my cabinets. There are several small fixes that are needed, and I keep getting the runaround about when this will be done. Today they had an appointment, and I have been waiting all day without even a call. I would not recommend this company. <br /> <br /> UPDATE: <br /> They sent a man out and he repaired the light fixture. They put on order to replace the cabinets and they will come back to replace them once they come in. Owner called Sept. 2014 to let me know replacement cabinet would be in a few weeks which were not installed until Feb. 2015. After cabinet was installed the right door is still uneven. The sink had a small leak which started a year after it was installed because the wrong part was put in. That was corrected. The space above my window was fixed also after 15 months so now I will finally be able to hang my curtains. The floor which is vinyl tiles is uneven and was told back in Sept.2014 some money would be reimbursed,but no one ever called. I could make a list of all the little things that went wrong but they were corrected. It's just that I don't think anyone should have taken this long--15 months to correct this. I could have had two or three homes built with brand new kitchens by now. After all the aggravation I went through especially not having a kitchen sink for 10 days(during the Thanksgiving Holiday) and having to do my dishes in the bathtub,I cannot and would not recommend this company to anyone. I think there is a lack of or miscommunication between management and workers because it took four different crews to finally complete the job. The original crew that started the job fired his helper and had to do the job himself so he really was doing the job by himself and was in a hurry so that was why there were so many little things left undone--for instance nails were left under the cabinets sticking out, trim wasn't nailed in certain places, the pipe under the sink was dripping,dishwasher was not bolted under counter right,I could go on (not counting the light above my sink that I couldn't use for 10 months) All these things were corrected it is just a shame that it took so long.No one should ever have to wait this long for service. Gordon Ramsey thinks he has Kitchen Nightmares!

Although in your review you do state that we did try to take care of your worries on a few occasions, as we will never not address a customers concerns/requests even after the one year labor warranty is past. "Although this is not necessary a bad review, this customer is not ours. The customer must have gotten us confused with another kitchen and bathroom company, as we do not actually make cabinets and counter tops. We install new cabinets from manufactures such as Kabinart and Aristokraft. We also install custom made counter tops made by one of our counter top suppliers. I have contacted Angie's List about this mistake and they are currently handling/investigating. Les Jr."

Everything was a pleasure from beginning to end. Mike Fastuca was friendly, professional and approachable. He was very helpful with the design process. We were impressed with how his design input improved the look of the whole kitchen. The demolition and installation crew was always punctual and clean. We were very pleased with the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. We totally love our new kitchen.

The cabinets look great. My issues were with the installers who had a bit of 'attitude'. They were very moody. Also, because they used an Ohio company for the granite countertops, a timely install was impossible. Unfortunately, I had to get involved with the granite company they choose. At the end of the day, the cabinets and countertops look fantastic just have to take the other intangibles with it!

We use Granex to fabricate our granite and Quartz counter tops because they are the Best, being a first class operation that uses state of the art equipment (lazer computerized templating not cardboard or wood and $5000,000 CNC water laser cutting machines not hand saws and grinders) making sure our customers get the best granite and quartz counter tops available. Their seams are also some of the best in the business in some cases almost undetectable. They are headquartered in Cleveland, but they have a granite viewing warehouse and office in Wexford with many employees living in the Pittsburgh Area. As with all granite top suppliers there is a 7-10 minimum business day turnaround to produce the custom made counter tops, which is completely out of our controll. Overall, am very happy with the finished product. Les followed through with all promises made. The installers were a bit 'moody' and showed up at various times in the morning but did show up almost every day expected. Bottom line, the work performed was excellent and my kitchen looks great.

This is our second project with creative. They previously did a bathroom for us. <br /> Overall, we are very pleased with the outcome of our kitchen. Sales team (Eric and Les) were great. Eric was able to guide us in cabinet placement for what made sense for our layout. Construction team (Tim and Ken) were fantastic. They are the stars of this organization. Everything went very smoothly. Scheduling was right on. Workmanship and quality is first rate. <br /> Some minor hiccups, but nothing that could not be dealt with. If you do a LOT of planning there are not many surprises. Only negative was their granite countertop company. We were not satisfied with their selection or their hours of operation. Creative gave us a credit for the countertop and we went out on our own to purchase. <br /> As others have mentioned this is a one price operation and it pays to know relative prices of all the components before making a informed decision. <br /> Highly recommend.

Our project involved the demolition and rebuilding a guest bathroom, which is approximately 6? x 8?. We are very pleased with the end result; however the process of getting there was not easy. Our primary challenges with CB&K were: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Pricing transparency: they would only provide a total lump sum price, refusing to provide detailed breakdowns of individual costs. <br /> <br /> Project Management: the PM on the project was not very effective. Long lead items (marble sills) were ordered late; only when we insisted that a wood sill was not a suitable alternate did he miraculously get them made in a couple of days. The construction team was expecting a dumpster to remove the demo materials; however one was never delivered, adding time to haul trash to their day. The construction team was not provided lighting specs which we?d given to the PM. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The project was expected to take 2½ weeks and actually took a month. There were days of no activity. The company seemed more interested in our timely payments than the timely execution of their work. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />While the quality of the finished product was excellent ,we did not use them for our subsequent kitchen renovation primarily due to the total lack of pricing transparency, and the poor project management. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />r <br />

"Not sure what "Price Transparency" has to do with the final end project, which [member name removed] said he was very pleased with, but we are sorry we didn't meet or exceed [member name removed] needs/desires for Price Transparency. The industry standard is one sum pricing to do a project, just like when you buy a car. Does anyone know how much a steering wheel, seats, or gas cap costs? It is just too difficult and time consuming to give every potential customer a complete to the screw/nail breakdown. As with most major remodeling projects there are minor delays due to scheduling, material availability, and drying time, etc... Timely payments are critical to a small business to keep materials paid for, workers paid, and job progress moving forward. This is even more important when we have 4-5 projects going on simultaneously and we have to chase payments. Unless a person owns and operates their own business these things aren't obvious to them and can't even imagine the daily challenges we go through. I feel bad we were not given the chance to quote their kitchen and given a second chance to rectify our shortcomings on the bathroom. Its a learning process everyday. Can’t recall price, but much less expensive than competitors (especially bath-fitters, who are extremely overpriced and use hard-sales tactics.) I recommend them often and I would use them again.
