As Creative Painting Systems painted the exterior of my home in 2016, and I've had so many compliments on the excellent job, when it came to painting the interior in 2023, I again chose them for the job. I'm very pleased with their work, beginning with the very professional and timely estimate performed by Phyllis Born. Her inspection of the interior netted a half dozen areas that required repair and she clearly specified each repair in the estimate. Phyllis noticed I'd begun cleaning the baseboards for the job and advised that the painters would ensure all surfaces were clean before painting. And so they did! They feather sanded every surface prior to painting and shone flashlights on the areas to identify defects ... And they corrected the wavy ceiling to wall seams. My interior is just beautiful. The crown molding is clearly defined. Alex is truly a master painter! And the crew was very pleasant for the duration. I realized I'd missed three small jobs, and Phyllis pleasantly added them to the project, even tho it extended the job a couple of days. And the cost was reasonable. I'm so pleased with my interior and I would highly recommend Creative Painting Systems for exterior or interior jobs.

The job included a two-story house, separate shed and detached three-car garage with a second story studio workshop. All surfaces (even the shed) were feather sanded and caulked .... including windows (rotted wood moulding replaced) and shed. Recessed nail heads and the vertical spaces between siding boards were filled with painters putty to prevent moisture exposure. All bare wood areas were primed with Sherwin Williams ProBlock primer. The paint for all surfaces was Sherwin Williams Duration Lifetime. The workers removed downspouts, gutters and lattice work to paint them. They even loosened light fixtures to paint underneath, ensuring that new-house look. Several pieces of HardiePlant siding was found to be rotting and were professionally replaced. <br /> The large backyard deck was really worn and about a third of the boards were raised and cracked, but George Born (owner) thought he could restore the deck to provide a couple more years service. The entire deck was hand sanded (including spindles and lattice work) and an opaque stain applied. While the deck doesn't have the "brand new" look of the house and outer buildings, it is very nicely refinished with a top-of-the-line Sherwin Williams product. <br /> All work was performed on-time and George Born visited every day of the seven-day duration of the job. He asked if he needed to do anything and performed the work on the spot, which made the final inspection redundant. My sister and brother-in-law visited near the end of the job and they couldn't believe how good the house looked .... they'd never seen such professional work! <br /> Recently Creative Painting Systems performed an interior home repair and the second job went as smoothly as the first. I would recommend this provider for any type of painting/repair job ..... interior and exterior! One provider does it all .... wood rot, raised worn boards, moisture exposure ... you deal with one guy. And the work is guaranteed for 7 years, labor & material. <br />

This is the 5th time I have used George and his company and if I have any future painting needs, you can believe I will call Creative Painting Systems!! They have painted the outside of my home, most of the inside of my home, my garage, sealed the cement in the garage and each time George and his crew were professional, prompt and neat. <br /> If you are looking for a paint job of any type or size this is the company to call!! <br />

From the moment we spoke to George, the owner, we knew we were dealing with a professional. Work was meticulously done and we never needed to check on the painters. They worked hard and if any questions they came to us to make sure of our satisfaction. When the job was completed we walked around the house making sure everything was done and to see if we were happy with the work. I was thrilled with the outcome! Will use them for interior work also! <br />

From the moment George came to do the estimate to the moment they finished, it went flawlessly. George came out a few days before they were to start and put some paint samples on my house, from the selections I had chosen, so that I could live with the colors in different light on the house itself. It made my decision simple. <br /> The teams was supposed to start at 7:30 every morning and they were in my driveway by 7:25. Every night they cleaned up and removed all their equipment so that my dogs could play in the backyard without me having to worry about them getting into trouble.My house looks like a different house and I couldn't be happier. <br />

We take great pride in our home and duly note that George Born and his staff shared this pride as evidenced by the quality of workmanship and the professionalism in which the job was executed and completed. It was quite unusual, but George asked for no money down and didn't ask for payment until we were entirely satisfied with the entire work product. <br /> George's bid was very competitive with other painting companies we interviewed. He used top quality Sherwin Williams materials, affording him the ability to offer a 7 year warranty on the project. From the date the contract was signed, George remained in contact with us and actually started the job over a week early. Because we were not changing any of the colors, we were able to provide Creative Painting with the exact color numbers for both the house body and shutters. The finished product attests to the perfect match. <br /> George's staff was very attentive to our needs and when about their work in an orchestrated manner. Surfaces were prepared with high quality caulk where necessary. All of our windows, our screened porch, and our extensive collection of foundation shrubbery were covered to protect from over spray. The painting of the house body was an outstanding choreography of ladder and painter movement resulting in a finished surface with no visible paint overlaps. <br /> George was present on the job several times each day of the 5 days necessary to complete the project, inspecting the work and ensuring that all work was performed as we requested. He always stopped to ask us if we had any questions and if we were satisfied so far. <br /> Would I use George Born and Creative Painting again? YOU BET!!! <br /> <br /> <br />

George is a little gruff (he is a Floridian who is married to a NYer) but a decent, hardworking guy and does great work! He and his assistant arrived right on time and prepped my walls, painted, and finished within 6 hours of arrival. They sanded and filled holes - I even had them remove two large mirrors in my master buy and filled the deep holes and sanded them (at no extra cost). I added the office and his assistant came back and did it the next morning within an hour and a half. George, like many other small business, is very busy so he can be hard to schedule with, but if you can get him he will do a great job! Love the work and I am planning to have him finish up and repaint a few rooms for me. <br />

I told the story in the above section. I would like to add that while George left me the paint to paint the front door and the shutters, he did not leave me the paint to paint the sliding patio doors.I had paid for that too. I am a rookie at hiring people because I have always done these things myself but it is an impossibility at this time. <br />

"We have just found this review and would like to respond to it - The problem here was a miscommunication problem between you and your daughter. George's conversation with your daughter, which is also how it is on the contract, was to paint two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a hallway. There was no mention of shutters, or other items you mentioned here. That is how the contract is written, and signed by Betsy. The only issue that arose when you walked thru with George, there were two holes in the bathroom that were patched where the patching shrunk, and you asked if we would re-patch and touch it up, and we did so. We always patch holes and sand walls prior to painting, it is a part of our interior painting service ALWAYS. It is apparent that you were upset because your daughter did not relay the information properly to George about the shutters, the front door and sliding door. When you insisted that these items were to be painted, we had no problem painting these items but it was not a part of the contract, or never was there a conversation with your daughter about these items, so it would be an additional charge for it. You did not agree. As a courtesy George purchased the paint and left it for you at no charge. We are sorry you had an unpleasant experience. I'm sure with better communication we could have had a better outcome."
