I contacted Jim Burke of Crestone about making a small repair to the 2nd floor deck of my house. After checking more thoroughly it was found there were a number of boards with significant decay. Many of the boards were so bad, there was nothing to hold a screw or nail. The small repair I had in mind would have left the deck dangerous, still not meeting building codes, and would have staved off replacement by only a year or two. Steve, the project manager, made suggestions that resulted in a more through repair and when a glitch was discovered part way though, a modification was made that resulted in an even stronger better looking finished product. Over 30+ years I worked over-seeing a variety of contractors who did every imaginable aspect of construction and maintenance work on the large office building I managed. The scope of the projects varied from adding or removing a door or two to adding 5,000, 10,000, and 20,000 square foot, two story additions to the building. The Crestone workers were as good or better than any I worked with. The workers showed up promptly every day, stayed on the job, and completed it without delay. Once they worked all day in a driving rain. They stayed on the job continually and took only a short lunch break. The workers thoroughly cleaned up at the end of every day and hauled away debris. In recent years I have wondered how projects get completed as the new acceptable standard appears to be that workers talk and text on their cell phones throughout the workday and take frequent smoke breaks. I saw Crestone’s employees making or taking a phone call only once or twice during the 6 day period and never saw an employee smoking a cigarette. The Crestone labor rate is based on 100% productivity the entire work day without an inefficiency factor for cigarette breaks, talking and texting on cell phones, or breaking and wasting time talking among themselves. The deck looks better and is stronger than when it was originally built in 1991. It looks 100% better than my simple repair would have produced. The shaky, wobbly stairs and rail are now very solid. I highly recommend Creston General for any home or construction job and will call them first for any work I may need to have accomplished.

They did an OK job installing the tub and shower surround, however I had to take a lot of time making adjustments after the fact (not to shower but to framing). They had issues installing the plumbing and had to keep shutting off the water to fix leaks. The recommended shower was expensive vs other surrounds and not one I would have chosen if I could have seen it first. The did not show up as scheduled to install the valves and do the deck work so I went with another contractor to do that work.

Jim, Steve, Clint and the rest of their crew were great. They would quickly respond to changes or fixes required to get the job done right. Finished product is everything I expected. After working with some flaky contractors in the past, Crestone was a refreshing group to do business with.
The team at Crestone is fantastic. They took us through the planning and cost estimation process and responded to scope change immediately as it occurred. The final product was great. They also came back when there were minor issues months later and worked tirelessly to correct them. We can't wait to use them for our next project!

My initial contact with Jim Burke, of Crestone General was pleasant, informational, and uplifting. Mr. Burke informed me that his company usually does commercial projects; however, because I was in need of a good contractor to remodel two bathrooms into a handicapped accessible bathroom, he made the decision to bid on and do the project. He took into account the situation in which I'd found myself following my father's severe stroke, and the fact I wished to get my father discharged from the transitional rehabilitation center and home as soon as possible.

Mr. Burke, his employees, and the subcontractors were very professional, punctual, and polite. They arrived on time each morning and worked hard throughout the day, stopping only for a lunch break. Prior to beginning the demolition portion of the job, they laid down heavy plastic in the hallways, on the stairs, in the bedroom adjacent to the bathroom, and on the bathroom floor downstairs as well, to insure the cream-colored carpeting did not get stained or dirty I was quite surprised and pleased that they took the time to clean up after themselves, including daily cleaning of the large rug in the entry of our home, sweeping of the floor in the new bathroom, sweeping out the garage, and disposing of any trash on a daily basis. Additionally, upon completion of the project, they even cleaned the new bathroom from top to bottom for me.

The plan for the bathroom was a work in progress and although an initial design was provided, Mr. Burke and his subcontractors worked with me, respected my wishes, and several redesigns were done during the project. Ideas were passed back and forth, suggestions made, and at all times I was treated with the utmost respect and consideration.

The finished bathroom is one which anyone would be extremely proud and pleased to have in their home. It adheres to ADA specifications, and is lovely in appearance. The shower stall is large and roomy and the floor is sloped so well that the water drains perfectly, not even getting the floor outside of the stall damp. In fact, when the nursing supervisor for Providence Home Health came by to check on my father, she stated: "This is my dream bathroom!".

I highly recommend Crestone General and will continue to call upon this company to do additional projects for me in the future.

Has gone well - waiting for final bill at this stage. Decided to go with billing by time and materials rather than a set cost as the original quote was higher than I wanted. I think this will work in our favor - we will see!
professional workers - job has been done well and looks good.

The initial meeting went extremely well, the company was very professional and on time. they were very concerned with the scope of the work to be done. they made sure I was aware of what was being done and the amount of time it would take. the company did a great followup and talked to me for the duration of the job.

The workers were conscientious and probably really had three guys came out. They did a good job, particularly good at coordinating the plumber and electrician in getting everything moved and done. I had a leaking shower that had to be cut out and replaced and they were able to do that without damaging the surroundings. They did a good job on it but they were a little bit slow on that. I would probably use them in the future.

We have an apartment rental that needed a new tub surround installed. I began the job but found that the sheet rock had to be replaced. I ran out of time and had to get somebody in immediately to finish the work as our tenants were unable to use the bathroom. I called around and was not having much luck until I talked with Crestone General. I explained my situation and they were able to have a fellow come out that day and gave me estimate and scheduled the work for the next day.
Went very well. I was pleased working with the Crestone guys. They were informative, gave me options for the work and were straight forward and honest. A minor touch up piece of work had to be done after the initial job. This was not because of any faulty work but a difficult surround. They worked with the renters and came back and took care of the touch ups with out any additional charges.
I have other work to be done and will be using Crestone Genral.
515Contractor came when he said would and the service was provided quickly and competently. The asphalt was cut well and the debris removed the same day. The cement went in on the date it was scheduled and clean-up was complete. We STRONGLY recommend this contractor.
I can't speak highly enough of this company and the professionalism of the men who performed the work at our house. The men arrived early every morning as they said they would. At the end of each day, they thoroughly cleaned up the construction area and left when we arrived home from work. The men were very professional and continually attempted to make our house comfortable for us even though there was construction all around us. They were very kind and considerate workers, always open to any additional projects that we added to their workload. They graciously offered to bring our furniture back into the house and arranged it for us. If they left for the day before we arrived at home, they always secured the house. A portion of the work was performed in the master bath. They showed great respect for our space. The men were also very skilled in the work they performed. The flooring looks amazing, the tile work is beautiful, electrical work complicated and perfect, you would never know we had sheetrock work done, and painting looks perfect. In summary, although the price seemed a little high to me (although I'm not an expert in what construction costs should be) the employees and owner of Crestone treated us like their family and completed the work close to their bid amount with professionalism and expert skill. I would not hesitate to hire them again for additional remodeling.
The work is amazing, the employees were at work on time and very reliable. They provided ideas to make the deck to what we were actually looking for. They were professional in every aspect from their language to their clean appearance and they made sure that they cleaned up at the close of each day since we have dogs that needed to use the yard and we were concerned about them stepping on screws/nails, etc... While they did have music playing, the music was tasteful and barely heard within the work space so it clearly was not heard outside of our property. I have been witness to other such companies having their music loud enough for the entire neighborhood to be forced to "enjoy" and/or bring their little (loud) kids to the job site. Crestone was/is professional all the way.Crestone General, LLC represents what any customer oriented business should display. I will definitely use them in the future if the need arises.Awesome group!! We now have an amazing deck to enjoy without being crowded!I do not know the cost of this job at the moment so it is 0 because the form requires an amount.

I got an estimate from Jim at Crestone within a few days of talking over the project. Once we gave them to OK to proceed, they completed the project a week ahead of schedule and under budget and all to my satisfaction.
