Fantastic! 21 windows were replaced in 2 days with minimal disruptions inside the house. Sky light and ceiling repairs were completed in less than 3 days. I would highly recommend Crone Construction.

We interviewed several companies for replacement windows for our home. We looked at window construction, window reviews, cost, and company references. We chose Crone Construction. The salesman was awesome and did a great job working with us. We chose Atrium windows because of their construction, reviews, and “cost.” The windows have a lifetime warranty and a 10-year transferable warranty should we decide to sell our home. The construction crew WAS THE VERY BEST!!! We had four young men whom I cannot say enough wonderful things about. They were fun to talk to and worked hard both days they were on site. They arrived on time and had “21” windows replaced in one day. On the second day, they installed the vinyl cladding around the windows and were done by noon. They did a good clean up of the job site. The young men did a FABULOUS job, and I couldn’t be more pleased. I would highly recommend Crone Construction for your window replacement needs. There’s no point in paying the price for Pella when you can get these quality windows for about ½ the cost. You will love this company and its construction crew.

We are very happy we hired Crone Construction to replace the windows in our home. Firstly, there prices were much better than Lowes or Ramco. This allowed us to choose their best Energy Star windows at a better price than others non-Energy Star windows. Although it took more than 2 months from contract signing till installation, we understand that the weather in March in Memphis makes scheduling difficult. When the windows were installed, they sent a large crew of 4-5 installers and worked for 2 days. The installation crew was very professional. They put back any window treatments and returned any furniture that had to be moved to complete the installation. They cleaned up and took away all the debris from removing the old windows and left our property spotless. The required payment terms were reasonable (40% down, 40% when installation began and 20% upon satisfactory completion). Overall, I strongly recommend this family-owned business and consider myself fortunate to have chosen them.

We had two different experiences with them. It was really expensive so we chose to do it 2 different times. We also had a tax credit because of it. I guess they were fairly priced. I would say that they've done a good job. In fact I have recommended them to someone and they got their windows as well and they were pleased.

The contractor and his assistant came out to see the project. They only spent 10 minutes looking around, and that's when they decided it was from the outside coming in. I paid upfront and now it is unsatisfactory. It is worse then it was before they completed the project. I am disabled and am not able to verify the work they stated they did. I am concerned with the amount of mold that has begun to grow. The gutters are so badly damaged from (repairs) that they are leaking straight down over my garage. They installed a downspout and a hole to catch the water from the spout. It eventually came through bricks and the floor. I even have insulation the under the stairwell that is pulled loose and you can see the mold growing. It is an extremely dangerous situation with my current health concerns. Places they worked on seem to be worse than prior them working on the situation. I really want to live in a waterproof home, and with no mold! Since the last rain, I have standing water in my garage to the point we had to use a dry vac and it still took 4 days for it to dry. I've called several times, and they have failed to show up as promised.

Fantastic company and crew. Nearly all the windows in my home had lost their thermal deal and needed replacement. After extensive research I had two contractors bid the job and was thoroughly impressed with Mr. Crone, his son and grandson. It was a large job with thirty two windows in all. Some of which I changed from original picture design to casements. All the windows came in exactly as needed with outstanding fit. Their crew was diligent, installed with attention to detail and cleaned up after themselves. Everyone was very polite, worked hard and the job was completed on time. I would recommend them to anyone I know and feel that I could not have had a better window replacement experience.

Jim Crone is personable and knowledgeable.  The windows are a very good value for the $.   His crew did excellent work on the installation.  <br /> Cost was roughly half the quotes from Champion and Ramco.  <br /> I'm very satisfied with the work and the quality of the windows. <br />

The owner of the company Mr. Crone, arrived promptly for the initial appointment.  He did not waste a lot of time telling me how bad the other company's windows were like several other sales-people did.  Where other sales-people took 2+ hours to demo the windows and give an estimate; he was only her about 30 minutes.  He recommended what he thought was a good window for our needs, which was not the top-of-the-line window, but one that would work very well.  He also recommended ways in which we could save money that allowed us to do more windows than we originally planned.  Several of the other sales-people said that it would take 3-4 days to install all of our windows.  Crone's installer  had everything done in 2 days.  I was completely satisfied with all of my dealings with Mr. Crone, his son, and their installer.  I believe that I got a good product, at a reasonable price, and excellent service until I was completely satisfied.  I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is interested in replacement windows. <br />

Mr. Crone is very responsive and professional - did not play any numbers games like the other quotes I received.  His crew worked hard and cleaned up after themselves and were very polite.  One window came with the wrong dimensions, so he had to re-order that window and finish up the job about 2 weeks after everything else was finished. <br /> 8 months later during a huge rain I noticed some water on a windowsill and called Mr. Crone to come check it out - he was very responsive (turned out to be a small roof leak, nothing to do with the windows) <br />

<p>I don't write reviews, I just read them. I'm doing this for all the people that are scared off by the complexity of the choices they have to make and the conflicting reviews out there about some of the other vendors and contractors. Jim's not Window World cheap, nor is he Champion Windows expensive. He's right in the middle, which is what I consider a savvy shopper should look for. He'll come in and consult with you, whenever you need him. He'll text you back - and wait for it - he'll actually call you back. Even his team will do the same, all the way down to the guy that is actually installing the windows. No horror stories about sell me this and deliver that. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>During install, they were clean, respectful of my family and our Oriental rugs. They accidentally broke a landscape light; when I called them after the job to discuss it, they were more than willing to come out, look at it, and fix it. Seriously folks, this guy is a diamond in sea of bait-and-switch tactics and installs that go wrong. I can't speak to the longevity of Simonton yet, but  this is one happy camper who never writes a review. If you're thinking about someone else to save $25-$100/window, don't. </p> <br />

Crone Construction installed new windows in our house and they were very professional and thorough. We had bought this other deal but unfortunately they couldn't handle since it was to small of a job. They were very nice though and I would definitely recommend them to anybody.

Mr.Crone was punctual when he came for our first meeting.  He was honest and didn't play number games.  He was the fifth and final company I interviewed for the job.  I liked his window, his price, how he explained the trim would be finished and his time frame.  I signed the contract that day.  The windows were installed about two weeks later.  The work was well done.  Overall we were happy with the work done. <br /> Cons: The workers were routinely late--as much as two hours!  A sliding  window was installed above the kitchen window.  I had not specified which direction I wanted it to slide when it was ordered--and they didn't ask.  After the installation, I expressed the desire to have it slide the other direction.  They were quick to oblige, assuring me that it was reversible and could be flipped upside down.  A few weeks later, our lawn sprinkler filled the window's tract with water which then overflowed onto the counter and then onto the floor.  A little investigation revealed the weep holes designed to let out the water were at the TOP of the window.  We informed Mr. Crone who sent out someone to drill weep holes in the window to let out water.  Not happy with the make shift solution, nor with the mistaken information about the window being "reversible", we asked that he order us a new window--double hung this time, Understandably, Mr. Crone was not happy about our request, but nevertheless obliged.  A new double hung window was ordered and installed in place of the sliding window.  The caulk around the window matched the vinyl exactly; however, the caulk around all the previously installed windows was a much lighter color.  Had the windows been adjacent, I would not like it, but since they are separated by cabinets, it isn't noticeable unless you are looking for it.   <br /> I'm happy with the windows and screens.  Mr. Crone is a wonderful man to work with. <br />

Came in behind botched Lowes subcontracted work. Provided the fastest of all bids. 10 day turn around compared 3-4 weeks at best compared to the rest. Install was executed 1 day early. Looked good. Solid execution. Family run. Would gladly work with them. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for in the world of window installation.
