It was a big job and hired two different crews. They didn't have any experience doing fence repair. Both crews did lousy jobs. After calling him about the bad work he didn't respond. When he finally got back to me about coming back to fix it he only fix part of the bad work.

"Ms. [Member Name Removed], we are terribly sorry you feel this way. We did everything we could in our power to make things right with you. We answered every phone call, text message, email, etc.. You hired us to replace the section of fence on the right side of your property. After we finished the installment, you had issues with the fence boards, a few had been broken since our last time out there, we replaced all of the broken ones, but you insisted we replace all of them. We did, at no extra charge to you. And that issue was resolved We then recieved phone call from you that the left side of your fence had fallen down. You called in distress, because your neighbor was giving you a difficult time about the fence laying on his property. You said you couldn't pick up the sections that had fallen down on his property. We sent our crew out to your house on a Saturday morning to pick up the sections of fence on your neighbors property, cut the pieces up, and stacked them nicely in your back yard. And we did not charge you a dime to do so. You called and wanted us to replace the left section of your fence, replace a single walk through gate and a double drive way gate. We agreed on a price to do the work and began the process. We completed the work, and you avoided us for payment. We had recieved payment from you, and then you called saying the double gate had a big gap in the middle of it. We explained the double gate would have a gap in it, for it to function correctly. The gap was not even 1", but after countless harassing phone calls from you, we came out and nailed a cedar picket over the gap, after we did that you called saying the gate wouldn't function correctly. After we explained to you that's why the gap was there in the double gate. Like I said we tried everything in our power to make this right for you. But it seemed every time we would come out, a week later there would be something else wrong with it. We are very sorry you feel this way towards us, after we did numerous jobs for you at no charge, sent crews out to your job site on weekends to work for free, and answer all of your phone calls, texts, and emails. We finally came to the conclusion that you would never be satisfied with anything we did, offered you a full refund and removal of the fence, and gates we installed for you. But, you refused that. Again, I am very sorry you feel this way towards our company. But we did exasperate every option we had to satisfy your issues. We have over 19 years of experience installing fences, and repairing them. And our crews are held to the highest level of what is to be expected of them."

They were prompt, conscientious and a pleasure to work with. The fencing looks great. They even added boards to bridge gaps from uneven ground to ensure my dogs would not escape. They started on time, worked through drizzle and finished early to minimize time without fencing. <br />

Well, day 1 the crew did not get to job site until 3pm. Worked for a couple of hours and discovered that they were short 4 posts. Came back on day 2 and put in the rest of the posts and started putting up the boards. Started raining (light rain) and after a couple of hours they said that they would have to come back the next day because of the rain. Came back on day 3 and discovered that one of the double gates was short in size. They called the supply house to have another gate made. They did not come on day 4 because apparently the supply house could not get the gate made. Did not hear from anyone on day 4 until I called the owner to ask if they were coming. That's when I was told that there was a problem with the gate getting made. Did not get the gate made until day 5 when the owner got back to town and apparently had to make it himself. The weld on the double gates is poor and they cold galvanize sprayed some of the welds but not all of them. I will have to do that myself. They set up on the back porch to do drilling and cutting and left metal shavings on the porch and cigarette butts throughout the yard. Did not recover post holes to cover the concrete with dirt that was dug out. They also left a bag of concrete mix here for me to dispose of. This two day job took five days which caused me to have to postpone things that I had to do so that I could be here. <br />

Completed job as per agreement. About 80 feet of fence; cedar. Hauled away what I did not want to salvage for some other minor fence repairs of the border fence. <br />

As a fairly avid and prideful DIY type I was very reluctant to <br /> call any contractor to install a new fence. Although my fence is not the <br /> biggest in the neighborhood it is certainly not the smallest. Therefore, between <br /> Youtube, HGTV and other online tutorials I had the utmost confidence in my <br /> ability to tackle this project with professional results. Boy am I glad I <br /> called Steve. <br /> During our first meeting to assess the project and get the <br /> measurements he needed I was quick to volunteer my own demo in order to save a <br /> little money. Steve agreed that it wouldn't be a problem since his services <br /> would include hauling away the scrap fence anyway. It was during the demo <br /> process that I seriously underestimated the man power involved and in order to <br /> erect something new would have put me in way over my head. <br /> The next day Steve and his crew didn't install a fence, they <br /> installed a fortress. Him and his crews' experience and knowledge was very <br /> evident and we could not be happier. Not only were they reliable, punctual, <br /> professional and courteous, but the fair price he quoted for this type of labor <br /> and the finished result was the biggest surprise. <br /> I highly recommend this crew for the quality and the price. <br /> I shopped around for this service here and there over the years and I don't <br /> think there is a better price out there. <p>Steven Dickerson (owner) answered or returned promptly every call I made to him, starting with call for an estimate and even calling the day after the installation to see what I thought after some time had passed. He had a restricted area in which to work and said he could do what was needed to be done to install the fence, after 2 contractors said they would not even give me an estimate because they could not bring their equipment in the back yard due to size restrictions. He even had to work around an issue with neighbors' fences being attached to my corner fence post and he figured it out. His estimate was the least expensive of the 3 estimates I received and the quality of the work was exceptional. There was one glitch where a post should have gone where a drain was but he worked around that problem nicely. He and his crew were extremely friendly and accommodating. Since it took 2 days for the job to be completed (concrete had to set overnight), they even cleaned up the work area for that one night so there was no job mess in sight in our back yard. I have already recommended him to several of my neighbors and feel confident that he would respond immediately should an issue arise with the fencing.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>Subsequent to the installation of the fence, it was determined that a water line for a sprinkler system had been cut and the sprinkler system would no longer work. I had a repair person take pictures of line that showed what had happened. Talked to the owner to see if he would repair the water line. He explained that his contract indicated he was not responsible for any issues or problems that occurred during the installation of the fence. The repair cost was under $75 but the owner was hesitant to assist in paying for the repairs. </p> <p>There was also an issue with different lengths of sections between posts. While the owner had mentioned that one section would be a different length due to a drain where one of the posts would be, it was later discovered that they had mis-measured the last two sections of the fence, thereby causing the fence to have different widths in 5 of the 8 sections of fence installed. Fortunately due to landscaping in front of the fence, it is not very noticeable.</p> <p>During the installation, the owner and I had a number of conversations about trust and how successful businesses maintained a trusting relationship with its customers, especially new businesses like his. I chose him because he was a new business and wanted to give him a chance. He ultimately offered to pay for half of the repairs, but by then the trust had diminished. As expressed in my original review, he had a opportunity for 3 additional jobs but they are no longer on the table.<br /> <br /> </p>
