My wife and I recently moved to St. Petersburg from Chicago, so when my wife called me at work to tell me that the air conditioning unit was not working I turned to Angies List for help finding an honest and professional HVAC company. Angies List did not let me down. <br /> <br />I called CSMP Heating and Air this morning at 9:40 AM because my wife noticed that the air conditioning unit was not blowing out cold air...it was also leaking fluid. I called CSMP and they were able to schedule a service call between 12-2PM, which I thought was pretty fast. Anthony, from CSMP, called 20 minutes later to say he could arrive early...much appreciated. He was at our home within an hour of our original phone call. Anthony diagnosed a small slow leak in the freon line that needed to be welded closed and then refilled with freon. He courteously and professionally welded and soldered the line and refilled with freon. <br /> <br />We could not be more pleased with the service of CSMP Heating and Air and the professional that serviced our air conditioning unit. <br /> <br />I think CSMP stands for "Customer Satisfaction is our Main Priority,....this is so very true with this company. I have found my new GoTo HVAC company in St. Pete's. <br /> <br />Thanks <br />

<p>Well they had to come back and install UV light that took a while (they were out of stock when they installed unit). They were going to come back one day, then cancelled. They did come back and installed it (didn't put panel back on handler correctly no big deal, did it ourselves). The real problem was about two months after we had the unit installed. The air handler is in the garage, I went into garage to do laundry and walked into pond of water on the floor. The drywall wet and base board all wet under the a/c handler. Really??? So I call the owner. He answers, I explain to him and firm but professional voice, he yelled at me tells me to stop talking. What ??? So he sends out tech ASAP and I asked him to come out himself, he said ok are you going to be home, I said yes I now have to take the day off work to get this taking care of!! He stated that he would come by later to see, I wanted him to see the "quality" of workmanship and what $6,500 worth of work from his company looked like.</p> <p>He never showed up or never called, the tech did fix the problem. Clogged drain pipe. So I asked the tech don't they clean drain pipe for a A/C service that is usually 70 bucks, he stated yes. SO WHAY WASNT THE DRAIN CLEANED WHEN I SPENT $6,500?? BECAUSE IT WAS NOT, I HAVE WET DRY WALL AND THE RISK OF MOLD. </p> <p><strong>CSMP dose not stand for customer service is my priority</strong></p> <p>The only reason I give a B for responsiveness is because he did send out tech ASAP to fix the issue.<br /> <br /></p> <br />

<p>On 1/16/15 sometime in the middle of the night the unit quit operating.  We could get no fan, ac, heat, or emergency heat to work.    We contacted CSMP on Saturday 1/17/15.  We received a call from Anthony who arranged a time to be here.  He arrived promptly, and was able to find the problem (broken wire in thermostat) very quickly.  He was very courteous and professional. </p> <p><br /></p> <br />

I had a number of people out who said the circuit  board I needed was not longer available and that I would have to replace the whole system at a cost of around $3,500.00.The tech Anthony from CSMP came out and checked the system out.  He checked and found the part and was back the next day to instal it.  Did I mention, I called about 3:00 in the afternoon and he was there in about an hour. <br /> Unit fixed the next day and works fine.  On time, courteous, clean can do attitude.  So much better than I have seen in the last 20 years. I will use these guys again and when I do need to replace my unit, I want these guys to do it! <br />

I bought the deal and was supposed to be contacted in 2 days. After 4 days passed, I called the company directly. A helpful lady took my call and it seemed that they had no record of my purchase. However, she did a quick check and found that there was a tech in my area who could come within an hour, which worked great for me. Kris, the service tech, called to let me know he would be arriving shortly. He was very nice, knowledgeable and professional. We were not having problems with our system, it's only 1 yr. old,  but he did find a few small problems that had to do with proper drainage and "gunk" build up that he fixed to help us avoid bigger issues in the future. There were no additional charges. We will use CSMP again, and ask for Kris, in the future. We would recommend them to others. <br />

Kris met me promptly at 8 am, found the problem, did the fix and cleaned everything up by 10:30. This is the 3rd time I've used this company, and the 3rd different house, they are FAST and most of all HONEST.  They don't try and rip you off.  They are very reasonably priced and come out the same day you call the. One time I called at 7:00 at night and they came out at no extra charge.  I highly recommend this company!!! <br />

John Newton, the owner, responded to my call himself and told me his administrator would follow up to schedule the service which she did immediately. They came out the same week, completed the service, diagnosed the problem on one of the units and returned the next day for the repair. The cost of the repair? $0. When does that EVER happen?! The part was under warranty which was lucky but honestly, when do you ever pay zero? <br /> <br /> John Newton and his service me are always timely, tidy and professional. He is one of the very few service people we know who we trust entirely on diganosis and price. <br /> <br /> By way of background, we own a 1928 home in FL which came with four old HVAC units. When we bought the home multiple service companies told us we needed four new units, which was not an option. John Newton and his company CSMP was referred to us by another contractor. John listened to our needs and budget concerns, got all of the units working, and then outlined a plan to replace the units over time in the event they did require replacement. When the time came to replace units, John presented more than one option and a very fair price. He and his men are highly skilled professionals who arrive on time, leave the house clean, and are considerate of the family schedule. We've called them over the weekend more than once with an A/C or heat emergency and they respond with an appointment early that week or sometimes Monday morning! <br /> <br /> It is a challenge to find service professionals you can trust. We would not use anyone else for our HVAC needs and give John and his company our strongest recommendation. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />

During the cold snap in January my heater failed to <br /> function.  I called CSMP and explained my <br /> problem.  Talked with the owner and he <br /> said he would have someone out  today to <br /> look at it.  They called back and said they <br /> would be out in two hours.  The <br /> technician Anthony took care of the problem in short order. <br /> Since the house is new to us and it was apparent had be remodeled multiple times and the previous craftsmanship was something less desirable. Even though the heating and cooling unit was less than 2 years old the poor workmanship also showed in the heating and cooling ducting.  The current ducting was at least 15 years old and sized improperly had multiple kinks and holes in it. We made arrangement with Anthony to return and give an estimate the following day to correct the problems found. <br /> He returned the following day at the time scheduled spent a couple of hours and provided a Quote at the end. <br /> Also in talking with Anthony I will more than likely have CSMP come out on a yearly basis to service the unit. <br /> <br /> <br />

Overall, it was a great experience.   Purchasing an aircon system was a new experience for us.   John was patient while we asked numerous questions about different system options and tried to make  an apples to apples comparison with quotes from other vendors.   He was onsite to oversee the installation, and took the time to explain why the new installation was different than the old unit.   After the installation, we had some follow-up questions, and he also addressed this clearly and promptly. <br />

We were without A/C for over 2 months. Two companies wanted over $5000 to replace it including the original company thet installed it. <br /> a Senior on SS &  have been out of work and could nor afford it. <br /> When I explained my situation to CSMP they sent a technician to look at it <br /> The Technician (Anthony Aleman) informed us that our condenser was still in warranty at  that they could replace it the next day. <br /> Because I could not lay out the full payment, Anthony spoke his Manager on our behalf & arranged for to payments that work for our budget. <br /> Thank you CSMP & Anthony for your honesty and support of senior citizens!! <br /> <br /> <br />

The technician was out here within 2 hours from the first call.  He was honest and efficient at diagnosing and fixing the problem.  We had to deal with a few air conditioning company, this is the first visit where the technician was up front and fixed the problem without any misdirection. <br />

The great experience started with the first phone call. An appointment was made to have CSMP come to a duplex we were in the process of purchasing to inspect the AC systems. The technician, Kris, showed up right at the scheduled time and thoroughly inspected both systems from top to bottom. He left us with very accurate estimates for cleaning and performing maintenance on both systems.  <br /> The day after we closed on the duplex, one of the units stopped functioning properly (naturally!), and I had to call them to come take a look at it. Kris came out again and within a few minutes corrected some poor wiring and had it running again. The following week he came out and did the cleaning and maintenance. <br /> Things seemed to be working well, until the tenant in one of the units let us know that the fan wasn't cutting off in his apartment. Anthony came out and found the problem was a faulty fan circuit board, which he replaced on the spot. The tenant was thrilled to have the air circulating at a speed it had never previously done before.  Everyone I have dealt with from April and Wendy in the office to Kris and Anthony on the job site, has been professional and a pleasure to work with. Thank you CSMP! <br />

Had intermittent issues with A/C. Several different times in a 3 month period, our condenser would freeze over, shutting our entire A/C system down. We were referred to Customer Service is My Priority (CSMP) from close friend, who happens to be a new construction contractor, and knows how to sort the good from the bad. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />    We called the owner, John, at 7pm, and he spoke with my husband at length about the issues we were having. He sent his tech, Anthony, out to our home 8 am next morning. Anthony arrived 10 mins early. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />    My husband was not available, so I stayed home (it was a Fri) to have the work done. We had done our homework, as several members of my family (not in town) are in the A/C business, and had given us some info on possible issues causing the problem.  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />    When Anthony got here, I "interviewed" him. I gave him the details of our problem, and in every instance he answered with the probable correct solution. There is not enough room to give all of the details, but rest assured, I vetted all of the possible issues he presented to me. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />    Because the issue only happened intermittently, he told me up front that his repair may or may not correct the problem, but that we would start with the most obvious offenders and work from there. He changed out the capacitor for the condenser and the evaporator. He showed me the low charge that both capacitors were holding (you can see the charge range they should hold printed right on the capacitor). He also changed out the condenser contactor, and showed me the burn marks that indicate the contactor was sticking shut. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />    Anthony then suggested that the sequencer may also be the problem. Since he had already changed 3 components out, I asked him to wait to see what would happen with the work he had already performed. He informed me of the cost of every part before I gave him permission to change it out, and left the part here for myself and my husband to see and inspect for ourselves. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />    2nd part of story: our condenser did freeze over again 2 weeks later. We called John again at almost 6pm, and Anthony was here at 7pm, same day. Now, I will admit this was a happy coincidence, as he was leaving working in St Pete, and he lives over here (in N Tampa), but I'll take it anyway. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />    Anthony checked the pressure and entire system again. The one part that he did not change out on the previous visit (the sequencer on the on the evaporator) that he thought may be a culprit, he changed. It appears, so far, that this has fixed our problem (it is 7 days later).  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />    We recommended CSMP to my aunt, whose A/C went out right after ours, and they fixed hers. When reminded Anthony that they provide a $100 referral rebate, so there was no charge for the part or labor for the sequencer.  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />    We very much recommend this company--what absolutely nice guys
