My wife and I wanted to remove a load bearing wall in our house, and hired Bob and his crew for the job. They were absolutely exceptional from start to finish. Bob did brilliant work moving ducts and with his finishing work to make the house look as though the wall had never been there. I not only would, but I would ONLY hire Bob and his guys for any contracting work we need done in the future. I can not express how highly I recommend them.

Bob did an excellent job on both our master bathroom remodel and finishing our unfinished basement. This was the second major renovation Bob did for us and we won't hesitate to call him again for any future projects. Our new master bathroom shower is fantastic! He worked with the designer at ProSource in Cranberry to help us select the perfect tile. The demolition of our old fiberglass shower and walls was done quickly and as cleanly as we could have imagined. He worked through some construction issues quickly and kept us informed throughout the project. He's an honest, dependable, and skillful craftsman. He stayed within budget and persisted with our projects from start to finish without delays or interruptions. Bob gets our HIGHEST recommendation!

Immediate call back from posting, visited next night to review project, finished project two days later. On time, courteous, excellent work. Would hire again.

My husband and I were very pleased with the entire 5 week experience when working with Bob and would recommend him very highly. His work was excellent and completed in a timely manner. He was lovely to work with and provided us great insight with our projects. He had a number projects he was working on in our home and many that had rather intricate wood working which he completed with perfection. He was able to reuse our existing doors for our pocket doors and was very clear about pricing throughout the project. Bob also was so clean which I very much appreciated! The subcontractors he connected us with did a great job and were priced fairly. We consider ourselves lucky to have worked with Bob and look forward to working with him in the future!

Mr. Cullen was punctual and took great care on removing and disposing of the cabinets, for a fair price.

Bob Cullen was referred to us by our plumber after we had a horrific experience with a general contractor. We had already purchased most of the materials for our full bathroom remodel, which were sitting in our dining room. Bob not only got us on his schedule as soon as possible, but he truly took away all of our anxiety during a very stressful time. It was immediately evident upon meeting him that Bob is the consummate professional. He is extremely reliable and trustworthy. He explained everything to us, including different options and construction materials, in a very clear way. His price was very reasonable, and he was willing to do everything we wanted, including time-consuming cutouts in the shower. He was an excellent communicator, and kept us aware of the timetable during each phase of the project. He was so personable and easy to work with that it was truly a pleasure to have him and his assistant, Jesse, in our home. Everything was beautifully executed, and the tile work he did was absolutely fantastic. It is so refreshing to meet someone who is honest, talented, and has such pride in his work. We would never considering using anyone else as long as Bob is in business.

Bob called back within a day of my inquiry asking for assistance. He was at our property a day later taking care of the project for us. The team did a great job and everything looks great now!!

Bob was great- I can't recommend him highly enough. He did a good job overall of sticking to the contracted price and finished the project in a timely manner. He did an excellent job communicating with me throughout the project and I always understood where he was with his work.  <br> <br>I plan to seek out his services again in the future and am lucky to have found him. 

Bob and his helper Jesse did a great job. They came when they were suppose to and charged the agreed upon amount. I was really impressed with his skills and the work done. Would recommend using him. <br />

Bob delivered a really outstanding bathroom renovation. We love it. We had some delays (not Bob's fault) due to the counter manufacturing and it was over the holiday season. Bob was really flexible and dealt with everything smoothly and with really excellent communication. The work was very high quality, he was timely each day and did what he said he would, he asked us questions along the way and provided options, and he dealt with changes and adjustments we made along the way. And beyond that, Bob was a very pleasant guy to have around. We really love it. I can't recommend Bob highly enough. <br />

Bob and his workmen were extremely professional and reliable.  They were always on time, courteous, and eager to make sure that we were completely pleased with our project.  Bob came up with creative solutions to problems that we encountered along in the way in our 60+ year-old home.  His solutions were cost-effective and practical. <br /> Bob and his crew installed 9 double-hung windows and 9 picture windows.  Due to the age of the house, extra attention was required; every window opening was a different size and not square.  The original floor was concrete with wooden expansion joints.  Bob's crew cut and laid ceramic tile with new expansion joints to preserve the integrity of the new floor.  We wanted stone facade on three interior walls of the porch, but were unable to find stone that would match the existing stone on the fourth wall (an exterior wall of the house).  Bob came up with the idea of covering that wall with tongue and groove paneling to match other existing woodwork on the porch. <br /> We look forward to using Cullen Construction for future remodeling projects. <br />

 Bob's the best. He is honest, shows up on time, works hard  and provides an excellent product for a reasonable price. <br />

Dave is cost conscious, which is important to me. He and his team also work on one project at a time, which means there was not any starting and stopping with my project. His team was very punctual and always cleaned up thoroughly after themselves each day. No complaints from my perspective - highly recommended. I will use this team again for other house projects, if they are available. <br />

Bob and his crew were awesome!  We got several quotes from other contractors for the deck, but Bob was the friendliest and easiest to work with.  We did a large deck with a roof over a daylight basement.  Composite decking and vinyl railing.  Low voltage lighting on the rails and steps with a ceiling fan in the covered area.  What most impressed me besides the attention to detail was the cleanliness of Bob's job site.  I've seen other contractors work in our community leaving trash piled in the yards - but not Bob.  Trash was removed, materials were neatly stacked, and the construction site was blocked off from our children each day.  Bob communicated with us every day on how the project was going and what timeframes we were looking at for completion.  I can't recommend Bob and his crew enough! <br />

This job was done a long time ago, and I meant to write a positive review of our good experience, but kept forgetting! Bob was quick to get back to me after I initially contacted him, came out to give me an estimate, and did a great job. Very professional, cleaned up at the end of the day, reasonably priced. This was a fairly small job that took about 2 days or so. Would definitely use Bob again for future projects (small or large) <br />

After reading various company reviews on Angie?s List, we contacted Bob this past fall to get an estimate to have two decks and cedar siding repaired this spring.  When he came to give us our estimate, we were pleased with the time Bob took to thoroughly and clearly explain his plans for repairing the decks and siding.  He also discussed any specific requests we had for the project.  Because of the time he took to explain the details of the job and the competitive bid he gave us, we decided to go with Cullen Construction. <br /> Bob was thorough with us through our entire project.  He got in touch with us to begin the work in late May and also took time to bring a sample of the deck materials to us to ensure we would like the look of the finished project.   Bob and his crew started work on the job as planned.  They removed and replaced the old railings on the decks and adjoining stairs.  They also leveled and reinforced both decks and the stairs by replacing the old posts and adding new, needed support.  Upon our request, Bob also built a gate for us at the top of our stairs to make the deck safe for our two young children.  In the final phase of our project, they replaced the cedar siding that was damaged and reinforced siding that was in <br /> need of repair. <br /> We are very happy with all of the work they did on our house.  During the entire job, we felt confident that they took the time <br /> necessary to do the work thoroughly and with skill.  Bob and all of the guys who work for him are knowledgeable, professional, and trustworthy.  We have recommended Cullen Construction to family and friends and will not hesitate to hire them for future projects. <br />

They were excellent. They did a very good job. At first we weren't expecting to pay that much but when he explained what he had to do and all the work had to be done from a big, high dangerous ladder, we were happy with the price. It took them 8 hours and 2 guys.

It was perfect. They communicate very well and they were on time. They did the job and after they cleaned up.

My husband called Cullen Construction on a Monday & they were able to come the next day to install my door.  The door I wanted hung was a hinged door, replacing a bi-fold, so the job was a little more complicated than usual.  Upon arrival (right on time!), they discovered they needed additional material to complete the job.  The went out & got what they needed. After returning, they  discovered a glitch with the sizing, but were able to resolve the problem promptly after consulting with my husband.  The door is up & looks great!   These people are professional, courteous & clean-up after themselves.

Bob Cullen and his crew were fantastic!  We had two bathrooms (a powder room and a main hall bathroom) remodeled (none of the bathrooms had ever been updated in 21 years!).  We had multiple contractors estimate the project, and Bob was hands-down the best fit for the job.  He even accompanied my husband and I to Lowes to pick out floor tiles, wall tiles, a bathtub, etc.  Bob even discussed paint colors with me for over an hour, picking up samples and helping me pick the correct color.  He and his crew were diligent about keeping the house clean while they worked.  The entire job went right on schedule.  The results were better than we could have imagined!  We will definitely be using Bob for our master bath remodel! <br />

Bob and his crew were excellent: the quality of the work was terrific, they were professional and punctual, and found great solutions to problems associated with remodeling an old house.  They finished the job on time and I was thrilled with the results.  I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again. <br />

Approximate 2-week job involving demo of old ceramic tile in a sun room and replacing with a new, heated, ceramic floor. Job involved disconnecting and disposing of two base-board heaters. Job started on the date agreed upon. Prompt start, as promised, each and every day of the project. Very professional and close attention to detail. Exceeded expectations by fixing items that were not included in the contract (exterior concrete sealing, caulking, new quarter-round, painting). As a side note, I have never written an Angie's List review despite having used 10-15 contractors off of Angie's list; I felt Bob deserved to be recognized for his professionalism and workmanship. Highly recommended. <br />

This guy is AWESOME! <br /> We moved into our house in the late summer, and had an extensive program of home improvements that we needed to finish by early October.  The biggest job was the finishing out of our basement, which was effectively a shell, containing the remnants of several aborted efforts (by the previous owners) to convert it into useable space.  <br /> We spent some time getting competitive quotes and design ideas from construction companies.  Bob turned his bid around quicker than the others (usually a good sign in a contractor), and it turned out to win on price too.  We invited Bob around for a second design discussion, after which we decided to give him the work. <br /> We've been extremely happy with everything that Bob's done.  He has a collaborative approach to design, he gives good quality advice on how to get good quality/value, and was always open to changes of plan.  He has some very good sub-contractors - we were amazed at how quickly the extensive dry-walling was done to a high quality, and his electrician has done other work for us outside of the scope of the project.  Plus Bob does great carpentry work himself - we gave him some trickier work (replacing some poorly-hung doors elsewhere in our house with solid oak slabs, for example) all of which has been done to a high quality. <br /> The best thing though, was that Bob always made himself available and was usually on site when work was going on.  When we were looking for contractors for this project, the most common warning that friends gave us was that their contractors had got sucked into other jobs, causing delays to their work.  Throughout this extensive project, we saw progress every day, and we were never concerned that the work wouldn't be done on time. <br /> We can't recommend this company highly enough! <br /> <br />
