Custom Bath & Tile Design

Joe is a bit of a drifter. He never completed the work and now we have to hire someone to fix the mess he left behind. He did some shoddy work. We paid him the money because he said he did not have enough money to get home. WE ARE Not HAPPY!!

Joe is extremely professional and a master at his craft. He does not try to recommend unnecessary work to be done. He is prompt and his work ethic is wonderful. Unlike other people who we have hired he is neat and clean. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for any tile work that needs to be done in their home.

Joseph did an excellent job remodeling our 1960's tile shower. He had to take out the old tile, replace the ancient drain and work with the old plaster walls. He helped us find a tile that would match our now "retro" style. He was very diligent, fast, neat and tidy, and has a great sense of humor. He was fun to have around, worked really hard and exceeded our expectations.

Joe is very responsive and is very meticulous in his job. He works on his own and knows what needed to be done. He is the one who picked the tiles and the design. we just went along with it and it turned out great.

Joe was very friendly, punctual,very knowledgeable of his work and takes his finished results very seriously. He was there every workday until finished. He explained all details from the beginning very well.  <br /> Demolished bathroom. Removed all 4x4 tile walls to the studs up to 4 ft high. Kept original walls and ceiling above 4ft. removed bathtub and bath area walls and fixtures. Had to replace rotted shower trap at additional cost. Re-piped water to convert to shower. <br /> Constructed shower walls with Durarock, Constructed shower curb and installed shower pan, poured shower floor. Tiled shower walls, floor and bath area floor. installed green board lower half of walls, textured it to contrast the smooth upper wall. Stained and installed a decorative molding along wall to transition smooth to textured wall. Replace rotted toilet flange and installed toilet. Installed new valves and piping for sink. Installed new vanity and sink. Installed lighting and medicine cabinet. Painted all wall areas. <br /> My bathroom is now the best looking room in the house. My experience was very good. Wish I could include photo. <br />

Joe did a great job! Was able to handle any difficulties that cropped up during the job. Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail. The bathrooms came out better than we could ever imagine. I would highly recommend for any kitchen/bathroom work needed. Extremely honest and outgoing. We even went out of town for a few days and gave a key with no worries or concerns. He even made sure to give our dogs a treat every morning before starting work.

The written estimate contains the total project divided into multiple tasks and estimates for each task. <p>Joe and Donna immediately responded to my request for service.  After viewing my bathroom, Joe explained the work he would do and gave a verbal estimate of the cost.  He gave detailed instructions (step by step) on how he would proceed.  Within a few days of his visit, I received a written estimate that exactly matched his verbal quote.  I sent in my deposit and we agreed on a start date.  Once work began, Joe was here every day, as promised.  He explained each day's progress and also alerted me when he found something unexpected.  He took special pains to be as neat as possible, since this was the master bath.  He covered the bedroom floor and furniture, wiped up construction dust, vacuumed the floor, and removed debris on a daily basis.  The end result was completely beyond my expectations.  Overall, Joe is extremely knowledgeable, and pleasant--he even brought treats for my dog each day!    The quality of work was fantastic, so I am certain I won't have to worry about re-doing this bathroom again (at least for the next 20 years or so).   I highly recommend Custom Bath & Tile for any job.</p> <br />

The job was not an emergency situation. Joe came and gave me estimates on all the individual jobs, including gutting and remodeling 2 bathrooms, interior painting of my house and these last 2 projects of the trim painting and exterior painting. He gave me a time frame as to when he would finish up ork. Everything went fine. I was happy with the quality of the work and the length of time it took to finish up the jobs.

From the first day we met, Joe has been a pleasure to deal with.  He is a friendly, personable guy as well as a consummate professional.  Joe worked steadily on our jobs from start to finish, arriving on time 5 days a week, and working no other jobs while he was completing ours.  Although our adult son was home during most of the work, we felt comfortable enough with Joe to give him an alarm code in order to let himself in - and he was careful not to let our cats escape :) <br /> <br /> The honed marble and mosaic trim we selected for our master bath were truly beautiful but not the easiest materials to install.  Each marble tile needed to be separately leveled; and the mosaic was not the same depth as the marble, requiring Joe to build up the surface underlying the trim in order to make it flush with the marble.  The end result was perfect. <br /> <br /> Joe offered some great design advice throughout the project, some of which we took, and some of which we later wished we had taken!  We were somewhat inexperienced with remodeling, but Joe was very careful to point out the potential pluses and minuses of our choices so that we felt comfortable making them. <br /> <br /> Joe's work on the bathrooms was of such high quality that we immediately talked to him about other, smaller jobs we'd been putting off.  He was very happy to complete the additional work and everything was done beautifully. <br /> <br /> I highly recommend Joe Spondike's Custom Bath and Tile for any remodeling you may be considering.

Joe was exactly on time for the quote, all follow up, and every day on the job.    He was very polite and easy to work with - he even brought our dog a new treat every single day.  The workmanship is absolutely meticulous, when completed everything was cleaned up properly.  They treated our bathroom and our home as if it were their own.  We're the kind of people that are obsessive with details and we can not find anything with the workmanship that we're not satisfied with.  Every day there was only a short lunch break, no smoking - I can't say enough good things about the strong work ethic that we experienced. Joe is very easy to communicate with. We had an agreed to plan and he carried it out accordingly. Every step of the job was explained in detail and demonstrated to us.  Most importantly, Jose took the time to make sure that every aspect of the job was done 100% correctly.   His price was lower than some other contractors who frankly had outrageous quotes - we are extremely happy that we hired Joe and Custom Batch and Tile, and without a doubt plan to hire them again in the future for our kitchen and other bathroom  

I am very pleased with the work that was done. My new carpet was protected and Joe did a fantastic clean up.
