Ok but way overpriced

I cannot say enough good things about Rich and his crew at Custom Craft Environmental. After having our sump get overwhelmed by 7+ inches of rain, we were lost. Made several calls to "national" water clean up companies with no reason. Rich was at our house 2 hrs after we called and his crew was there the next morning. They were efficient, helpful, knowledgeable, kind, punctual. Price was good and work was excellent. We highly, highly recommend.

Rich came to give us a quote the same day we called. He told us what items could be cleaned and saved and what had to be disposed of. He took the time and explained everything thoroughly. The next morning his crew came on time and got right to work. Rich and the guys did a great job cleaning our basement. You would never know their was ever sewage in our basement. We are very happy with their work. We highly recommend Custom Craft Environmental.

They seemed to do a good job. They were good at cleaning up after themselves. They spent time explaining what they were doing and why they were doing it. They were able to come at a timely manner when we requested the work to be done. They were attentive to details.

The contractor claimed that after the work there was visible staining, but no mold left. We were having the work done in preparation for the sale of the home. After an accepted offer further inspection was done by the purchasing party. Subsequent inspections revealed that Custom Craft only removed the mold from half the attic and the mold they did try to remove was not done properly or completely. I would not consider this contractor for any further service and am reviewing options to recover monies paid for this sub-standard work. We subsequently had to hire a second contractor to complete the work to the satisfaction of the buyer for an amount near to the original cost.

After getting recommendations and checking Angie's list, I called Rich Reimer of Custom Craft Environmental. Rich was very cooperative and came almost right away. He outlined what he was going to do and after we agreed, he and his crew immediately started to go to work. After vacuuming up as much of the water as possible, they set up huge dehumidifiers and 25 fans to finish the drying. They also sprayed chemicals to prevent mold and to disinfect the flooring; this they did several times during the next days. We had a lot of stuff in our basement and there was a lot to move up off the floor. Rich and his men were extremely helpful and careful with our belongings and never once did they complain about the amount of things they had to move. Rich came back numerous times during the drying out process to check on the progress and to move furniture and fans around for better coverage - for that care we were most grateful. When things were finally dry, we had Steve, one of Rich's crew, shampoo our carpet and he did a great job in spite of all the challenges caused by having to move a lot of furniture, etc. All in all, Custom Craft did an excellent job and it was a pleasure to work with Rich and his crew.

All went well. My call was returned promptly. Owner came out and assessed problem. Explained clearly what the scope of their work would be. Provided me with recommendations of contractors to complete uncovered aspects of the job (drywall, plumbing). Service men came promptly at scheduled time, completed work satisfactorily and cleaned up when finished.

It was such a pleasure dealing with them. I spoke with Rich who was very reassuring. He even texted back to me in the evening when I texted him in a moment of panic. He assigned Justin to my case who arrived even earlier than scheduled, He listened to me--at times I was a little hyper because I was so worried. Asked if he could remove tiles. Explained what he saw. Used a tool to measure moisture in various areas like ceiling, paneling, etc. Shared what he believed to be the issue. Cleaned up the moldy patch and sprayed a larger area to disinfect. Gave me instructions on how to manage and watch area to avoid mold in the future. Super professional. If I recall right I believe this is a company with vets and those willing to serve, but are unable. That appealed to me. They have had my back so I am happy to have theirs. God bless. Very quick work, they called to ask if they could come a DAY EARLIER and within an hour all the work was done and the area was spotless.

He had a cancellation and was able to come out the day I called. He verified that we actually didn't have mold growing in the one area. Since that area was connected to an indoor hot tub room, he checked the tub room just to verify that all was ok in there. He gave me some tips on preventing mold in that tub room and informed me about some other areas to watch (as this was in the basement and we have had water get inside with heavy rain) and I asked him about some marks on my basement ceiling. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Will definitely be calling if need for future services.

It went really well. Rich was very helpful and gave me tips on how to remove the smell. I would recommend him if anyone needed mold remediation or advise.

Rich and his team provided end-to-end services and were kind, professional, prompt, and most importantly did everything they said they were going to do. <br /> From a frantic phone call (Help!  Our pipes leaked!) from out of state to joining his team after they started drying out the house to the very end as they were testing functionality of our new door, CustomCraft was there, anticipated our questions, and provided quality, skilled people to get the job done. <br /> Thank you CustomCraft! <br />

I am extremely happy and satisfied with the service I received from Custom Craft Environmental. I wanted to have my bathroom inspected for asbestos as I am doing some remodeling (including ripping out tile). Throughout the process I worked with a gentlemen named Rich. During correspondence prior to the inspection date, Rich was always very responsive and professional. On the inspection date, Rich was on time and, again, professional. While my main concern was tile, a thorough inspection was done of the whole bathroom area (including checking under the carpeted portion of the bathroom space). I was also very impressed by Rich's vast knowledge. As we talked more generally about my living space, I learned that there is a hazardous substance in the type of ceiling I have - something I never would have thought of! I'm not doing any ceiling removal/remodeling, but if I ever do, now I know. And last but not least, the price was right! <br />

Company representative (manager) arrived on time; we reviewed what needed to be done and he went to work. Professionally performed, punctual and completed work based on estimated time given to me. I would use Custom Craft Environmental again. <br />

The good: <br /> They were polite, neat, and pretty fast in getting to our home for service. <br /> They did the demo and got the dryers going promptly, which probably saved the carpeting - half of the carpet pad was shot and removed. I thought the price had included getting the new padding and reinstalling it after the stuff was dry. The area was pretty small & I didn't think it was going to be a major $ matter to get the carpet reinstalled after the dry - out. <br /> I chose not to go through my homeowner's policy, as I have a high deductible and this was a fairly small job. <br /> The not so good: <br /> Although I appreciate their getting the work done, I feel a little misled. They did do demolition and drying out from flooding, but, they told me later, they do not do reinstallation of anything. There was a delay on their part to pick up the dryers, so, I think we ended up paying extra rental fees for lots of dryers that were running for quite a few extra days. They had said they would pick them up on a Thursday, but, they couldnt get here until Monday of the next week.  I got other contractors to quote the drywall, painting and carpet work. Strangely, when they came to pick up the dryers, they offered to do the rebuild work the next day - for an additional fee that was never quoted. It was all kind of awkward. When I told them that I thought their original quote had included replacing the carpet pad, I was told that that was a conversation I had with their boss, not them. I never met their boss, just talked to him on the phone. It was sort of like I was dealing with two different companies.  <br /> Anyway, it did all get squared away, but, when I calculated the hours of time spent on the work, the effective hourly rate was pretty high. I would just warn any others to make clear what is, and is not, included in the quoted work. I have no issues with the work that was done, and, I think they were very professional and careful.  <br /> <br /> <br />

Rich and his crew are extremely professional, the estimate and financial documents easy for the condo association to follow, and all involved completely understood what needed to be done.  Rich responds to his customers immediately, and this is the second project we've worked together.  I would never hesitate to recommend Rich and Custom Craft Environmental to anyone. <br />

Rich was excellent.  He took the time to answer all of our questions before, during, and after his visit.  I highly recommend Custom Craft Environmental and plan to hire them again on another project in the near future. <br />

we had major water and mold in our basement. It is a 90 year old musty basement with a few separate rooms. Custom Craft performed their work over a few months having to juggle and coordinate with other contractors. This was not a simple job. Rich and his crew understood our dilemma and went to work with a high degree of professionalism. As one can imagine water and mold makes for major problems and a great deal of stress.
