Quite well. They were a little bit slow, but they did complete the job. It was messy with the clean up afterwords.

Nice man but paid, if I remember, 148.00 and the shower needed more attention than just wiping down and scraping out grout.
Paul is great to work with. He's very busy, so the schedule changed at times, but it didn't affect me. Very, nice, honest man.
Spoke to Custom Glass Block about concerns about job/work that he had been doing. Response from Custom Glass Block was 'oookkaayy' very unprofessional answer.

Called Custom Glass Block to schedule called on 11th he did not return my call.called morning of 12th left a vm with no response13th texted Sp about the voicemail left the previous day. Custom Glass Block said he was in TN for a funeral back in town monday or tuesday of next week.

Not heard from him since.

Very disappointed about the service I received and the quality, the tile work looks very poor. he used the wrong colored grout especially after i asked him for a particular color.

"This customer purchased mosaic tiles which is the 1in x 1 in mini tiles on a 12 in sheet of net fiber and she choose this for a back splash. So I tiled it completely and then I started to grout it while she was gone but I ran out of grout left her note saying I would return the next day to finish the job but she called me and said she had some complaints about the job and I said I would get by there in a couple of days for a resolution to her problem, but within that time I had a death in the family and had to leave town, and when I returned I for got to call her and then she called angies list"

Paul from Custom Glass Block, started the work on the shower tile and then said that he cannot replace the tile board. Even though the deal says he can. He told me that's not what he meant to say on the deal. He talked to someone at AL already today and she read the deal to him. He left right after that.

"The first issue this customer and I set times to meet to look at her project and each time she changed it a total of 3 times then while on another job site I get a call from her demanding that I leave that job site and come and remove her old tile from the shower area so I talked with the customer whom home we where working at and she agreed to let me go and assist her so I get to her house and we remove her old tile and examined her walls to see if we would need to replace them but they were in extremely great shape. So the I told her that we could come back in a couple of days to tile it, she then replied that she was waiting on a plumbing company and would call me back. Upon my return to her home to start tiling I noticed she had put in a new tub and her plumber had ripped out a 12 inch strip of wall all around the tub so I explained that we would fill this in with backer board and then tile. She said that we needed to rip out all the walls and put new walls before we tile, I tried explaining to her that this not how it works and if she wanted us to do that it would be an additional cost of $200 to $400 dollars in labor and she called angies list to complain. Now the way that tiling works is if the walls are rotted out we replace them but if they are not we do not because this additional and labor that is not needed. These customers are getting up to 60% off of their labor and I am taking a loss in hopes that their job will lead to more work but I cant just give them free labor."

Good. There was one worker who came out. They left the area in tip top shape when they were done. I have nothing to compare the price to.

"Sometimes a job can be completed in less time than the coupon says but remember it is a discount and as far as leaving for an hour i did not leave for a hour i went to menards to get more caulk and returned to finnish your job i do not understand why you would get on here and say such things because if there was a problem it should been discusted with me but as far as the time frame you really just paid for a service if it would have taken more than the alotted time tou finish your project as i told you there would have not been any additional charges so what is the issue here with writing a reveiw like this is this an effort to give me a bad name"

The tile is sitting straight on the tub, there is no material between the tub and the tile. The groutlines are anywhere from 1/16 to 3/8ths of an inch. There are finger width gaps in some of the corners between the tiles. There is no green board or durock as he had stated he would install. He told me if it needed it, he would do it, but he didn't put any of that in. He's tiling over exposed cardboard. The 2x2 tiles are not flush with the other tile, they are recessed/sunk in. He asked me for a broom and dust pan, but I would have expected him to provide all of his clean up supplies and carry away any debris. I can see through the tile mud to the dry wall, so the surface of that was not spread evenly, and the tiles that are cut were not cut evenly.

"This member has a bathroom on the second floor and she had stairs that she just got stained and varnished and she wanted us to put something on the stairs to protect them but there is no solution for this because the stairs would become a unsafe work space someone could slip and fall while carrying any weight. That was her first issue , Then we removed the tile from her bath tub shower area and made the determination that her walls were fine and did not need baker board , so then we began to tile the shower area she had left when we started but I asked I there was any specific way she wanted the tile to be designed, but she did not respond this was via phone so we started to tile and when she returned she said that we were not tiling it right I still to this day don’t know what she is talking about. So at the end of the work day we left planning to return the following day and that is when she called angies list, as far as not cleaning up it is common to ask if a customer has a broom and dust pan , and I don’t know what a customer expects as far as clean up we do not mop floors we only clean up debri."

Terrific job. A couple of emails and phone calls to confirm nature of the work and to set a time for the work. Provider showed up as promised and did a beautiful job. I don't remember the exact cost, just that I was satisfied with what I got for my money.

The tile is crooked! About a quarter of the wall is visibly crooked. I contacted Paul to get the work looked at and corrected and we made an appointment and he missed the appointment.
Response from Custom Glass Block
"This is a job that was completed when I left this customers house she was satisfied with the work. This customer purchased 4x4 tiles to do a design called subway and I informed her that she needed to purchase 2x2 tiles because she did not want the large look of the 4x4 tiles. I also informed her that I could cut the 4x4 tiles in half and give her the look she wanted. She said ok and I tiled the wall. When I left her home she was excited about the job. She did call me about a week later saying that the tiles were crooked and I told her I could get by there and see what the problem was but I got busy and forgot to call her back. I did not hear from her again. This job was complete to the customer's satisfaction upon our initial completion of the job, so therefore the customer is not due a refund and there is nothing I can do to change the job. I can tear it out and do it over but there will be a charge for the service, I can do the job at regular price of $1500."
