Custom Painting and Home Repairs

It went very well. Nathan Brumbelow and his crew is an outstanding job on our house. They were professional and well versed in their job functions. Custom Painting and Home Repairs were easy to work with, and did a couple of things that were outside of the contract. They also suggested some changes that helped get the job done. They also cleaned up well after the completion of the paint job. We were very happy with Custom Painting and Home Pairs work, and would use them again.

The results were specular; I couldn’t have been more pleased! Crew size was large enough to complete the job as fast as the dry time would allow. Painters were assigned to the project. All were professional, skilled, responsive to concerns, and respectful of pandemic protocols.

I'd used Custom Painting and Home Repairs 6 months beforehand to paint residential exterior windows and eves and had a very positive experience. Nathan's crew just finished painting a residential interior project including walls, trim, ceilings, builtin cabinets, closets, doors and a concrete floor. Just as before, Nathan and his crew did a great job. His crew are always polite and respectful and are conscientious of doing quality work. He's doing some sheetrock work and replacing an exterior entry door now too! I'll write a review about those experiences when they're finished up. Nathan offers very competitive pricing, great ethics, sound advice and is a really nice guy.

We hired Nathan and his crew after seeing the other houses in the neighborhood. The work was performed in a timely manner and the quality is excellent. Would recommend them to anyone.

They did an excellent job as usual. We are very satisfied with the work they did. We also had them remove popcorn ceilings & paint the interior of our home this past winter. We would highly recommend them and will definitely call on them for future projects!

Excellent work to my satisfaction. Very responsive on some follow-on touch up work that was needed. Owner followed up to see if work was to my satisfaction which shows he is very quality oriented. Very clean in their work.

So overall I was satisfied with the work completed, but the way the work was completed could be improved and so could the company's attention to detail. For example I had to go around the house and point out mistakes for them to correct. They got the order of the paint wrong: my base paint ended up being the trim paint and trim the base. In order for the company not to take a longer time repainting the house, I settled and changed the accent colors to better match the new house paint. Nails were everywhere on the ground when my husband went around with his magnet. The company did not have as high quality of a magnet like my husband so my husband went around the house everyday cleaning up nails to avoid a dog getting stuck or one ending up in a tire. The company did give us a substantial discount for the inconviences. They got paint on one of my windows I asked them to scrape off but they have not done so yet. The work was completed last July.

From the start it went very bad. They started on the back of the home - the siding wasn't straight across the bottom they mis-cut siding around vents, etc. The business owner came over the weekend to tear off some of the siding and replace , he also was able to get the bottom edge straight. We thought things would go better but it only got worse. They replaced the window trim but failed to install flashing so they had to do that over. They got around to the front porch where we were using adecorative shingle style sidi g. Instead of cutting and installing as recommended by manufacturer they just started in- it wasn't correct. They had it on and off the house countless times; they finally got two walls correct, the third wall isn't like the other two but we gave up and that is how it was left. I could go on and on with details of the unprofessional work they did. After they "finished" the job and left we had to remove window trim from a basement window that wasn't installed correctly, finish the gable trim on one end of the house and rehang a door that they had hung but it wouldn't close completely. In the agreement they stated they would keep the job site clean on a daily basis - they finally cleaned up andhauled off their trash at the end of the job but months later I'm still picking up bits and pieces of trash from my yard. Worst of all, the siding was installed without leaving the necessary gap between each panel , so it now has a wavy appearance. Never, Never, would I use this company again.

Fantastic work. Highly recommended. The entire crew pays close attention to details, and they don’t rush to finish a job. Plus I trust them. My kids learned their names and Nathan tolerated letting them ‘help.’ Painting isn’t rocket science — there are probably several companies that could do a good job. But Nathan’s also a good man, and those are much harder to find.

This is the most amazing company I have ever worked with! I found them on Angie's List and called them to paint the sheds before I even moved in. They found some junk in them and around them that the previous owner hadn't cleaned up and they hauled it all away for me! I truly appreciated the extra care they gave! Nathan talked to me about the early stages of mold on my vynal siding. He offered to power wash the house for an amazingly low price. It made my home look fresh and clean. (Several of my neighbors saw the difference and got their homes power washed as well!) I asked them to paint my bathrooms and they were done beautifully. I was so pleased, I asked them to paint the rest of the interior and stain new handrails I had made for the basement and garage of my home. Each time the team was wonderful to work with. Nathan (the owner) checked and re-checked each project and ended up "throwing in" those extras that really made the home look "done." He took the time to point out future projects (like my garage interior) that I could consider to make my home as safe as it was now beautiful. I can't say enough wonderful things about Nathan and his three man team. They were personable, polite, and enthused about each of the projects. I already talked to my neighbors about them and I think two of them have called Nathan to do some work for them. I would encourage you to give Custom Painting and Home Repairs a call for your next painting or handyman project!

They did a very satisfactory job for us. We were very pleased and would highly recommend them to friends, family, and anyone that I know that needs any work done on their exterior and interior parts of their home. We plan on using them again in the future to do work on exterior of home including painting it.

Nathan replaced some defective siding, patched up some areas, and repainted the entire exterior of the house. He also refinished the deck and repaired our front porch railing. He did a beautiful job and saved us quite a bit of money. His price was great, his response time was very fast, and he got the job done quickly and professionally. We are very happy with the work he did - our house looks great! He also did a separate job of painting our interior (price not reflected here) and did a beautiful job, and helped us get our house ready to sell - we are very pleased!
