"There is no way to patch a crack with out sheet rock dust . The deal was for 8 hrs of work after working 8 hrs the work left to be done would be 25 pr hr . We used the 8 hrs. In that time I painted a bed rm ceiling And one coat on the walls . Taped and muded 2 12 foot cracks sanded 2 12 foot cracks and put a second coat of mud on the cracks . When I came back the next day to finish after the 8 hrs was used up I sanded the cracks , vacuumed up the dust Primed the Patched cracks and painted the bed rm ceiling That took 3 hrs . At that time the lady told me she could not afford me and wrote a check for 3 hrs of work . Leaving me with the job of cleaning up and putting away all of my drop cloths wile I was cleaning up she noticed some imperfections in the patched cracks , I told her that some times you have to prime the spots to see any imperfections and I would have to skim coat and sand it to get it right . That I would mud that day and come back to sand in a week . that the job would take 3 hrs . She told me she could not what that long . I packed up my things by then I had put in another hour and had 36 dollars in materials left to pay for. I had been fired and was owed 61 dollars so I did not get to finish the work . leaving sheet rock dust on the door Handles and foot prints on the floor . I have a steamer that cleans up the dust but because I had been fired I did not use it . I tell every body I patch cracks for there well be a lot of dust . I cover what I can And confine the dust to the room I am sanding in ."
